Emin we got a RFE too asking for some of those things on your list and we also had to get 2 affidavits which we did/ One was from the manager of our apartment block on business letter head and the other was from a friend who works with my now husband and she was wonderful and got it certified from a JP. I did exactly what was on our list and we were approved 2 weeks later. SO you do what it says and I wish you all the luck in the world.

Brandy , Ben will need a letter from your employer stating your wage , full time or part time and how long you have worked there. He will need a letter from your bank stating branch and when account opened and 6 statements. He wont need tax returns for Sydney from you but if you want to send him a few copies by all means. He wot need all the K1 packet you sent in as they will have all that in front of them sent over from here in the USA. He wont need your BC at all as they have copies of that but if you want to send him a cert copy just in case but they have all that info from the 129f there in Sydney.
If he wants to take some extra evidence of your relationship yeah but from what I have seen on here with the recent people they are never asked for it .
He just needs to collect all the papers he needs from packet 3 when he gets it.

As you only arrived on the 10th you will have to wait at least 2 weeks till you can apply for ssn as you wont be in the system yet. Once you are married and congrats for tomorrow, hope it all goes off well for you. You can aply for AOS after you get your marriage certificate but you can't work till you get EAD card and that will take approx 2-3 months.
Depending on what state you are in is whether yu can get a drivers license. I am in Georgia and theoretically I was supposed to be able to get a license with ead card but I had to wait till my GC was approved. I got an international permit before I left Australia so I was ok to drive on that for a year anyways.
With being so close to Christmas I would not get my hopes up being able to work till at least next March.

What you see on the net and what you live with is 2 different things and I am sorry to say but these cultures will never adapt to our western way of thinking and life. Get out while you can and donlt go ahead with this at all as you are going to be miserable for the rest of yur life and even if you do go through with it divorce is inevitable and he will get GC and be on his way. As you only filed in September you still have a ways to go yet for approval/. He can start to get things together now > The police and medical report are valid for 12 months so I would not start any of this till end Dec / Jan 2012, The police report he just has to call the local police station and make an appointment with them for fingerprinting tell them it is for a fiance visa and it was about $145 All this info is on the US consulate web site for the Aussies. I have also been told that after the police report is done it is sent directly to the consulate but I would ask for it to be sent to his home address as it normally takes about 4 weeks to be returned and you don't want it going to the consulate when you haven't been approved yet. They wont know who it is for. If he is in Sydney he can organise a medical with Dr Waks in George St this also is on the web site.

Yes darl we all have to take a driving test and a computer test. I had to do both in Augusta GA

They do not need passport photos of both petitioner and beneficiary, just 2 passport photos of beneficiary .

Are you the USC? If so then you make the cheque out to Department of Homeland security not USCIS You need to read the instructions more thoroughly. And you send a copy of your divorce decree in with 129f petition not original. And get it notarised as well and make some extra copies for your fiance for interview. At the interview for beneficiary they will not want the original of your divorce decree. They will already have the notarised copy in the paperwork from this end of the process. But just make an extra copy as USCIS lost one of my husbands divorce decree and held me up 2 weeks getting my visa as we had to send them another notarised copy of decree from USA to Australia. And I am pretty sure the price is $340 now.
