That's not correct. We sent just our certified copy of our marriage certificate and never had a problem, not at USCIS, not at NVC, nor at the interview.

Some additional links for you (in case you don't know where to find them):

Ukraine reviews (for interviews): http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Ukraine(make sure to focus on those of IR-1/CR-1 applicants as the process may be different for other visa types, although it's still a good idea to read to get a feel of the place)
Regional forum (for Russia, Ukraine, Belarus): http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/98-russia-ukraine-and-belarus/(for country-specific questions)

Saylin got a reaction from eslam-mahmoud in NVC asking for documents that are already sent
Sorry, but you do NOT send the I-864 to USCIS. No where in the I-130 instructions does it say to do this. You should have followed instructions. If it were possible to save time by sending the I-864 with the I-130, it would be ALL over VisaJourney. But it's not. And for good reason. The I-864 needs to be sent at the NVC stage, after the respective bill is paid. Unfortunately, you have no choice but to send it again.

As stated they are the same visa and have the same requirements, with the length or green card upon arrival being the only difference.

The only difference between the two visas is if one gets a 2-year or a 10-year GC on entry. The process of getting these visas is exactly the same, though.

You should have waited to see what the RFE was before posting.
From there, you would have determined whether it was a "stupid RFE".

You should post this as well in the Philippines sub-regional forum, so more people can see it, as they may not see your very informative post buried in this thread. If you do, I suggest summarizing the above in the title, so people know right from the title not to have any red ribbons or such on the certificates.

This is incorrect. A 2 year green card holder has the same rights as a 10 year green card holder. You ARE a legal permanent resident.

Saylin got a reaction from ditdot in IV Fee..how do I get it invoiced?
Yes, the DS-261 is the same as the DS-3032, just that's it's online and only available for a few eligible countries (like yours). So, no need to send the DS-3032, that'd just be redundant.
Keep in mind: the AOS is invoiced a few days after the case number is assigned and is done independently of you sending them anything. The IV fee on the other hand is completely dependent upon you sending them the Choice of Agent form. They first need to review the form, accept it, add it to the casefile, then put it into a queue for the IV to be invoiced. It takes longer to invoice the IV fee than the AOS fee.
Have you been calling NVC and inquiring if they accepted your DS-261? Once it's been accepted, then it would just be a couple more days till the bill is invoiced.
The people who pay both fees at once have lawyers. Having a lawyer attached to your case means they've automatically been selected as agent, thus no need to send the DS-3032/DS-261. Because of that, both bills are invoiced at the same time. Since you don't have a lawyer, there will be a space of time between both of your bills.
And it has NOTHING to do with your AOS track as both are completely separate tracks that have nothing to do with one another (except both are required to be done before the case can be completed).

Saylin got a reaction from joshuah57 in Immigrant Visa - CR1 Interview questions
Besides the required documents, they asked for no proof of relationship. Montreal is really easy in this aspect. It's very rare to be asked for proof of relationship. I still most definitely suggest bringing it, but it's likely you won't be asked at all for it. The interview is also very short (compared to other countries). I was in the actual interview room less than 5 minutes. Was only asked two questions. I suggest you read my review (found by clicking on the 'timeline' button to the left)
