  1. I got the feeling before taking the poll that most people here are more scared of guns than a crime happening to them.

This view will change for some as they learn to take advantage of the rights and liberty we have to offer in the U.S.

My friends from China were very surprised we don't have metal gates on our front doors and steel bars around our windows at home. After a few years of absorbing the culture they also learn to stand up for others where before they only think of themselves.

  2. DS-3032 is to tell them you will receive everything for your husband. http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/80023.pdf

You can e-mail that in to NVC now. Either one of you can e-mail it in.

Pay the bills online anytime after you receive them. It takes a day or two to show PAID. Then you print cover sheet to mail with your packets.

You still need to fill out i-864 if you get co-sponsor. Ask them right now. Call or mail IRS and ask for tax transcripts for last 3 years (http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=232168,00.html). Transcripts are better because you don't need to attache W-2s. Work on the DS-320 packet at the same time. DS-320 takes much more time with more evidence.

  3. I have a friend in the process of getting his wife to U.S. on a K1. Interview in 3 weeks.

How difficult is the interview? His wife doesn't have a clue of what is going on. She didn't even know her husband filed K1 for her until last week.

I'm thinking not much questions since they are only engaged.

My wife just went through interview for CR-1 and it was difficult. 30 minutes of questions!

  4. Her name was correct!

I received answer from consulate saying it is OK and will not affect her VISA. Correct the spelling of her dad's name at POE.

Flower stand inside LAX? I'm going all out on a single stem of something special that day!

Can't believe quiting a job with the Chinese government is so difficult!

  5. You need to fill out an i-864 also. Your uncle will need to fill out one as the co-sponsor and provide last 3 years of tax returns and some current pay stubs. He can give you 3 years of tax transcripts from IRS (free) or 3 years of 1040 tax returns (signed with W2 attached).

Need original two i-864 with signature on 1040 or transcript copies from IRS. Submit copies to NVC and bring originals to interview.

I may be wrong about sending copies to NVC. I used electronic processing.. you're not..

I think that's all you need...

  6. Congratulations!

Call the automated service everyday. I put the numbers with "," commas for pause to input all the numbers on my speed dial. "6033340700,1,1,1,4,1,1234567890#,,1" <<= insert your own USCIS number

Once they get it, call back to talk to someone and ask for bill, DS-3032, and IIN. Pay with new NVC# and IIN. Submit DS-3032.

Took 29 days for mine to arrive NVC! Good luck!

  7. You still have to do everything except mailing it. If you read the details, you will see they provide nothing more than what the CR-1 flowchart shows. Their guarantee excludes the same reasons the consulate will denied the visa. There is no guarantee!

The Fiancé(e) or Petitioner provides us with a material misrepresentation or fraudulent material.

If the Petitioner has not met their Fiancé(e) personally.

The Petitioner and Fiancé(e) don't have a genuine bona fide and committed relationship,

The Petitioner or Fiancé(e) has been involved in prior immigration proceedings,

If the Petitioner's income does not exceed the required poverty guidelines; and

If the Fiancé(e) or Petitioner doesn't provide supporting documentation or requested information necessary to complete the application.

I did it myself with many hours spent on reading and researching, but it was worth it because I know what is going on. I suggest you to do the same!

  8. Are you working on your DS-230? The police record is to the city and only if lived more than 6 months since age 16. Is the 2 addresses in different cities? You had to list where she lived the last five years on the G-325A also. Make sure they match. Get police reports from all of those cities.

I'm not sure what country she is in. If they do a background check on her, what addresses will show up?

You are paranoid! I don't know what company you work at. If you can get to this site, you can spend some time here.

  9. Sorry.. wrong thrad above..

Don't pay for writing resumes. They make money on people that are starting out and aren't making money. They are scams! What they do is simple and should not be worth $500 unless the job you want is $$$.

I would search online for resumes of other people for a good format to copy. Search for people with your skills and in the same industry. Then you search online job databases such as monster and hotjobs for positions you are looking for. This is to get keywords and know what they are looking for to put in your resume. Always use action words such as managed, designed, and implemented.

  10. Applying for 5 and get 2 interviews is awesome! I must have submitted 40 to get a 2 phone interviews and 1 face to face.

Background checks are simple. They are used to verify information you put on the application. You can do it to yourself and see what comes up for $50.

Temp agencies are everywhere. I have used Apple One and Man Power before.
