Take the calling cards? Why not? I sure am going to be taking mine. You can get a phone log where it shows the number of the calling card you have to dial before the actual internationa number and then highlight that number in the log. Match that up with the actual calling card number and have it ready although it is not likely they will look at it. Know what I mean? Better safe than sorry!

For those of us who are doing CR-1 the process is slightly different as the PC is good to send to NVC for up to 6 months. However, we must also obtain ANOTHER PC at the time of interview, within 30 days of the interview.

Just be very smart. We are all adults here so don't ignore anything that seems "weird" or fishy" because you are blinded by love. I have seen and read my fare share of horror stories, some from our very own vj members. Don't be discouraged just be cognizant.

I called the IRS. The person I spoke to told me I can file joint or separate and if I choose to file separate my husband will NOT need a ITIN number, and I could just put NRA (non-resident alien) on the tax return.

If you have nothing relevant to post then don't post nothing at all. If you do not have any knowledge on the topic I posted then why post at all? I won't waste my time explaning myself to you. Moving on.

Also, keep in mind you will more than likely need documention from your doctor for all of this. Do not sleep, get moving! I do not know exactly who you would contact about this, but I would start with NVC, then embassy.

If my memory serves me right, you can request an open cita. Or he will be given an open cita when he goes without you (something like that). I have seen cases where they allow this open cita, which is then to go on another day due to events like pregnancy. Try your best to make it, but DO NOT go nuts if you cannot. Giving birth is not something to be taken lightly. Do your research NOW, so you will not have to jump through hoops at the very last minute.

Not only is it recommended, it is REQUIRED. If you do not make it, your SO will be denied. I believe there is an option to reschedule, but NOT recommended because God knows when you will get a cita again. I'm sure another DR member has more info about that.
