StephanieM got a reaction from wheresmykoala in Sworn Affidavit from Friends && sworn statement from mother that we live with her
There is no need to write a long essay, unless you feel you need to do so. Include what uscis wants to know, that you guys live together and love eachother etc. This is the EXACT third party affidavit I sent with my I-130. I just changed the names lol. I was approved without any RFE's. Remember less is more!

Evidence in support of a bona fide marriage between MINNIE MOUSE, Applicant, and DAFFY DUCK Beneficiary
The following is to certify that I, MARY POPPINS, residing at the above noted address, born on March 26, 1966 and bearer of the passport #*****, have known MINNIE MOUSE since birth, and have been aware of her relationship with DAFFY DUCK since the beginning of their courtship. They are a very loving and caring couple and will have a great family one day when they are united in the USA. I attended their wedding and signed as a witness on August 23, 2011 and it was very special for both of them. This affidavit is being made by me for the purpose of assuring the U.S. government that the persons named above have a true and loving relationship that was entered in good faith, and is not for the purpose of circumventing immigration laws.
Any questions please feel free to contact me at 555-555-5555
    Sincerely
    MARY POPPINS
See, short and sweet and right to the point!!

I dont understand what you are trying to say to do or not do. Part of the requirements to file N400 is to provide these things over again (it is in a link in this thread as another member posted, remember things change and this may be new in the proccess) . Common sense tells me they have it somewhere in our file but I am not taking any chances. I will resend everything including MC, and more evidence of our marriage. Better safe than sorry.

    Neo,
Agree with Chastity. I myself was one who read your topic and didn't reply. I simply didn't know the answer. There are soooooo many people on these forums, our knowledge is all on different levels, but sometimes if you wait a little longer than one person who does know the answer comes along to give you what you are looking for.
I wish you luck in your decision.

StephanieM got a reaction from soheil in Can we take a cruise for our honeymoon?
I am pretty sure he will not be able to travel until AFTER AOS is completed which takes months.
Unless it is ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY ESSENTIALLY important for your family to be there for the wedding then I'd say just use the money for the "pre-honeymoon" to get married in DR. All you have to do is go to city hall (in DR) with two witnesses and 7,000 pesos. A couple of his family members can come along, you wear a cute dress and take pics. That's it. If you want more info inbox me, if this is absolutely not an option for you then forget everything I am saying.
I am only and truly suggesting this before you say you are both on a budget and I know that although right now you might not see it, CR-1 is the cheapest option.
Unfortunely in this process I realized we have to make sacrifices, especially those of us who are on a budget. For my husband and I, that sacrifice was not having a real wedding ceremony with all of our family and friends and postponing the big ceremony to 2014.
Just a thought. If you still decide to do K1 there are plenty of resources here and people to help you so you are def not alone!
As far as vacations, you can try cheapcaribbean.com, bookit.com, expedia.com and other websites like that. You can find some great deals in those sites.
    Suerte!

You should only have to pay the $88 once! You will have to pay two different IV fees though ($230 each). Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Racial slur?? Gimme a break! The reason I used the term "people like you" was because of the CONTENT of your post. Even if you did not mean to be rude, your post came off as arrogant and not very tasteful. You commented that the OP should not feel frustrated and wrote "sit down and be patient like the rest of us". I don't understand how this does not sound rude. There are different ways to say things, everyone here misses their SO and once in a while we all use VJ to vent a little. Is that so wrong?
I totally understand why the OP is frustrated. VSC has been moving really fast the last couple of months, while CSC is moving slower for the most part. Judging by this, she can't help to wonder why her petition has not been approved. Sounds valid enough to me! Notice how I also offered some encouraging words and told her to be patient, but did it very differently than you. Yes, you are entitled to your own opinion, and you are free to say things how ever you please, but be cognizant that people can be sensitive, which most of us during this process are.

I know I am not at NVC anymore, but I just want to wish everyone here good luck!!! I know you might not see the light at the end of the tunnel quite yet, but I promise it's coming, and when you see it, it's a wonderful feeling!!
I myself will be preparing all my evidence this week, since I am leaving on Monday for my husband's interview. We are nervous, but staying positive.
Cheers to a good week and to good news! :star:

It's all luck. My petition was at the vermont service center and it was approved in one month. Other people sent even before me and waited over 6 months and their petitions were at california service center. But then there are few petitions that are at CSC for a short amount of time and others at VSC for a long time. IT'S ALL LUCK. And obviously if you make a mistake on your petition or fail to send required documents that will further delay your case.
If you don't have any patience, you will learn to have it during this process. Wishing you the best of luck.

Maybe they are, who knows. They have been working fast the last couple of months so let's see what happens. Try to keep yourself busy, I know it's easier said than done.

People like you should just not comment. Why should she be frustrated you ask? Uhm, I don't know, maybe because like all of us she is desperate and emotionally struggling with the process like everyone on here is!!! :bonk:
A little encouragement and reassurance goes a long way. Don't be a negative nelly. Remember, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
