    Congrats on all the Recent Approvals...

    Well for news on my side... Wife made it to US...

    POE was a breeze for my wife.

    The officer just asked her about why she came to DC and who was calling her?

    Rest of the time my wife said that officer was chatting about Bollywood Movies...

    glad it finally over and she is here...

    now we will wait for SS# and Green Card to arrive...

    and file for Removal of Condition in October 2011...

    Just got the phone call from the wife her visa is Approved!!!

    She was in out in 1 Hour...

    She walked in at 7:30 am

    She was asked to sit for awhile after which they called her to the window, Asked her for her passport and gave back the original documents and took her Fingerprint.

    Then she was asked again to have a seat, after waiting for a while they announced her name and told her to go to a certain window.

    Interview Part

    1. Who is calling you?
    2. Was it an arrange or love marriage?
    3. when did you husband go to US?
    4. where and what did he study?
    5. why did he move to US?
    6. who is the uncle? who is co-sponsoring you?
    7. when did we meet?
    8. who was the person who introduced us? can you show me his picture?
    9. show me you husbands parents in the picture?
    10. did you go for your honeymoon?
    11. Why did u decide to go to Bombay for your Honeymoon?
    12. did u go anywhere else?
    13. what does you husband do in US?
    14. how many people attended your marriage?
    15. how long has your husband been in Virginia?
    16. who did he go with to US?
    17. what was his major in college?
    18. where does he currently work?
    19. what is the name of his boss?
      ...
      ...
      ...
      YOU ARE APPROVED!!!!

    The interviewing lady said that " U will have you visa in hand in couple days..."

    My wife asked if she can pick it up in the evening?

    The lady said you can check with the VFS office in the evening if the Visa is ready you can pick it up...

    Thats it Done....

    So happy Finally Its Over....

    Packet 4 - VFS Office submission of AOS and DS230

    Hi All,

    I am confused about this VFS office visit in Ahmedabad > India.

    Can some one tell me that Do we needs to submit the AOS and DS 230 forms again at VFS even we submitted to NVC earlier ?

    well here is what we did recently... we submitted our medical report to VFS and paid our VFS fees... our X-ray is still with us that we have to carry ourselves...

    thats all is needed... if u have submitted all the originals to NVC then no need to submit anything else again...

    I agree with Dave its just down right horrible to be separated from ur loved ones...

    but u guys should consider ur self lucky... looking at ur time line u guys are getting approved right around 100 days mark...

    compared to filer from last year july/august... it was just down right torture for us going back and forth from cali to texas and again back to cali...

    keep up the faith... and keep talking to ur spouse... and 1 thing i have learnt about this process is that never promise ur spouse about when things are going to be approved and give them a set month of when u expect things will get done... this whole process has tested our relationship and also brought out the best and worst in our relationship... but i know soon she will be with me and it will all be over...

    interview coming up in about a week and am just praying not to hit anymore bumps in the middle...

    Sorry for the late post, was crazy busy getting tickets for the wife and baby to get here on Friday.

    Yes approved and received visa the same day from embassy.

    Wife got there at 8am and did not get out until past 3pm. Long day for her since my two year old daughter can't sit still for more than 10 mins.

    Big shout out to Saylin for her free advise. And thank you to the countless others for their moral support and advise.

    I know. Although my lawyer told me if I filed the 2009 papers before April everything will be fine. It's only been a couple of days and I'm already depressed. I have a 7 month old daughter and I dont want her to be without her father. If the AP doesn't clear in a month, I might go back to Pak :(

    u should have sent in Tax form for 2010 no matter what... and since ur interview was after Apr 18th (Tax Day) this was given...

    many people have posted regarding this info on here...

    just dont worry everything will be fine...

    guys, when i received the email with the nterview schedule on it, it means that my package is at the embassy irght??

    cus i called the AVR yesterday and alli had was ur case was complete on 24 june...thats it

    i dont know if it still not updated..

    No that is not correct... ur package sits with NVC for awhile before being shipped out... once ur case is shipped our the AVR message will change something like "your file is with embassy now so u need to contact them"...

    hope it helps...

    Hey all, so I just called the NVC and they told me my case was completed, but I MISSED their deadline in getting scheduled for July interview dates :crying:

    The NVC operator told me to call back July 15th to see when (if) in August my wife's interview date was set.

    I'm glad my case is complete, but so, so sad that I have to wait so much longer

    ur in the same situation as me... my case was completed on May17th... missed the deadline by just few days...

    but i got the date in about 10 days... so i would say just wait... and keep calling...

    anyways goodluck...

    APPROVED!!! Dance with us!!! :dance::dance::dance: Visa should be ready in 2-3 days.

    They did not let me in. I prayed outside for 2 hours. He literally had 20 pounds of proof of our relationship and he showed all of it. The CO said you prepared very well. The interview lasted 5 minutes.

    Questions:

    1. What happened with fiance petition? (they returned our case to U.S. 2 years ago after 7 months of AR)

    2. What's your wife's name?

    3. Where does she work?

    4. Where did she work before?

    5. What proof do you have?

    6. Who are the people on the wedding pictures (he got a compliment for the gourgeous wedding album)

    7. What books does your wife like?

    8. What movies does your wife like?

    My hubby was prepared. We spend ALL Sunday getting everything together and rehursing the questions.
