Hey Guys!
My wife and I just received our schedule for her biometrics to be done. We were wondering if it would be possible to go in at an earlier date without changing the schedule? We did it before when we applied for her green card after we married. My wife is pregnant and her due date is Aug 2, but we don't know if she will last that long so we want to try to get the biometrics done as early as possible just in case she goes into labor. Does anyone know if we can just do a walk-in and maybe get her biometrics done? We live in the Houston area if that helps, north side.
Thanks all for any and all help that ya'll can offer.

On the new I-751 form there is an area along with the addresses that says "In Care Of". My wife and I are living in my parent's house since we got married and won't be moving until the end of the year. Do I put their name in the blank or is it for something else? Slightly confused with what to put there. I will mention that we are living in my parent's house for the time being.
Thanks
hoping to file this week.

Hello guys, I have a few questions to ask. Hopefully this won't get too confusing. Firstly, this question isn't for me, but for someone else. His mother (US Citizen) petitioned for her son and daughter a while back and now the dad and daughter are ready for their interview for visa.
The thing is, the dad doesn't necessary want to immigrate the US anymore, but he wants his daughter to continue. Can the daughter continue on with this process while her father doesn't go through?
The father actually wants to come to the US, but only to drop off his daughter and make sure she can adjust here and then wants to leave after. My friend, who is the brother of the dad, was asked to fill out the Affidavit of Support (I-864), is worried that if his brother stays in the US, would he be obligated for his brother? His brother needs dialysis 3x per week. Is that something he would have to pay for? If the father continues with the visa, is he allowed to come in to the US stay here maybe 1 or 2 weeks and then leave to go back to the Philippines? Would that mean he abandoned his status or is he allowed to leave anytime since he has a greencard? If in fact it isn't allowed for him to leave right away, what does that mean for the future if he plans to come back to US to visit his daughter? How long does it take to receive the greencard after arriving?
Thanks for any and all help/advice given.
Good Luck to you guys

Hey Guys,
Looks like we got approved for our AOS. We received text/email for card production earlier today and then a few hours later we got another text/email say: "On August 9, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status."
Ever since we got our EAD/AP card we didn't mind when we would get the GC, but since it's here it's a load off either way. Thanks to everyone who helped and will be back in 3 years.
Congratulations to everyone who got approved for AOS and also got their EAD/AP cards. Good luck to all those who are waiting for their results.
Good Luck everyone

Hey guys,
Been reading this forums for a while now, just haven't posted anything.
I'm also a May filer and during the waiting period, this is one of the topics that I always check up on. Just recently got my EAD/AP approved, AOS was transfered to CSC June 30, so I'm hoping to hear something from them soon, but hopefully not a RFE. I'm praying that there isn't an RFE even though I was expecting one to come because there are some blanks on the G325a that I sent. I had printed out the form with answers, but left some answers blank because typing them wouldn't fit in the box provided.
Anyways, glad to see that May filers are moving along nicely. Hope the best for all ya'lls AOS. Good Luck everyone and God Bless

Hi guys,
My wife and I just sent in our AOS packet today. She came using K-1 visa. As I was looking over the forms, I remembered that we forgot to fill in some information in the G325a form (biographical form). I had typed out most of the answers figuring I would come back and fill in the blanks that didn't have enough space. When we came back to it, I only checked the bottom part of the forms. We forgot to fill in the country of birth for her parents and also my country of birth. I was wondering is there anything I could do about that? Could I send in a copy even though we didn't receive a RFE?
Any and all advice is appreciated.
Thanks

AOS
in Philippines
Hey Guys,
Long time, no post..anyways, my fiance (now my wife) is here and we're just now applying for AOS. We have most of the documents ready. We went to the Civil Surgeon and they tried to have us do another medical exam, but I know from reading forums and the instruction sheet, it's not necessary. Anyways, my question is the doctor kept saying we need a TB skin test, I tried to tell him since my wife already had a BCG vaccination, she doesn't need a skin test because it would just result in a false-positive result. He insisted we need a skin-test for US requirements, I didn't give in, but only asked for the vaccination. Should we have gotten the skin test or was this just a ploy to get us to do another full medical exam? I'm thinking the latter, but I'm just trying to make sure.
For all the others who went in, did any of ya'll have to get other vaccines? Such as Flu and Hepatitis A? Those were vaccination my wife didn't have, so do we need those?
Thanks

Mango Ave is more in the city. So the CFO offcies are not near the DFA building then?

Hi Guys, My fiancee will be leaving for the states next week April 12 from Cebu. She already took her CFO seminar right after her interview in Manila at PRISM. I just want to confirm that she can get her CFO Sticker/Stamp in Cebu at their CFO offices, correct? Does anyone know if they will be closed on Monday, April 11? Her flight is 7:30am on Tuesday, so she won't have time on Tuesday. She'll be coming into Cebu Monday morning and heading straight to the CFO offices near the Pier (correct me if I'm wrong of the CFO location) Thanks guys! We are very excited to see each other next week. Good Luck Everyone!

Hi All! My fiancee has already taken the seminar and interview for CFO, but was unable to get the Stamp/Sticker on her passport because she didn't have it at that time. I was just asking if it's ok for her to get the stamp/sticker in Cebu? We are planning for her to leave from Cebu instead of Manila, so we are just trying to confirm if it's possible. She took her CFO at PRISM day after she was approved. Thanks guys!

Your visa can be tracked using your case # starting with MNL. If it comes out invalid at the 2GO website then it means it hasn't been sent by 2GO yet. I had tried it all week long and everytime it was invalid when i entered my case number. I tried it this morning and now it says it's in tansit, so just keep trying and then it will update when 2GO sends it. Fiancee was approved last Thursday, so we're just happy that we might get it tomorrow , so we can buy the tickets.

You can only get the CFO sticker at the CFO office location. They check your CFO sticker on your passport at the airport. No CFO sticker means you can't leave the Philippines.
Thanks for your reply, I know what the CFO stamp/sticker entails and the consequences if the stamp/sticker is not present in the passport. My query was regarding the CFO office in NAIA where other VJ members have said that they had gotten their passports stamped in the airport. The CFO website even states that there is an office located in the airport. So my question is if someone had recently gotten their passports stamped at the CFO office in the airport. Thanks
-
She had her CFO earlier and other than arriving really early, she had no trouble with the seminar. She said that if you and your fiance are both filipino than the seminar and interview will really go smoothly. The only question she was asked was if she had family here in the states. At the beginning they had that same guy who tried to scare people away. He even said that if you don't have your passport/visa then you should leave now. And they also said that she had to open a bank account. She wasn't fooled by them and after that everything went well.
One thing she did say was that the people at PRISM told her that she couldn't get her passport stamped at the airport, she could only get it stamped at the CFO offices. Has anyone recently gotten their passports stamped at the airport recently? Thanks
-
She just replied, her number was 7005 at window 59
-
Congrats.
We were there with your fiance, though seems she was behind us in the process, as we were done with ours at 1130 or so. Does she remember her number? Ours was 7004. We kind of deduced that the 7000 numbers were the K-1 visa's, as there were SO few, and they waited until the end to do them all at once. What window number did she go to?
We will be going to PRISM today at 1330, and return on Monday after getting the passport from 2GO and going to CFO Manila to get the registration done. Maybe we will see her there.
Congrats again.
I forget, I'll have to text her and ask her. She's in PRISM right now, I misled her because I thought there was a first batch of seminar at 8am, so she arrived there at 7:30. She's just waiting there, I feel so bad. So you will be able to get your VISA/PASSPORT from 2GO by Monday? Really? I didn't know it would be that fast. About how long will it take for it to be sent to Mindanao?

First of all, I would just like to say thanks to all those who have helped my fiancee and I go through this process. We are far from over with it, but we've taken a huge step forward by getting approved for the visa. my fiancee had her interview yesterday March 24th (Philippine Time). Everything went well and at this moment she is going to PRISM to do her CFO Seminar.
Anyways, I would just like to share her experience during her interview yesterday. She arrived at the US Embassy at around 5:15am. She said there were already people lined up when she arrived. She said she was like one the last people to get in line for K-1 Visa Interviews. She got inside the building at around 6:30am and went through security. at 7:40am her number was called to get her pre-screening done. The pre-screener asked her for the DS documents, I-134, Tax transcripts, Receipt of payment, and W2. She asked the same basic questions that others have told: What's your name? What's your fiance's name? Where did you meet? When did you meet? When was the last time you saw each other? When's your birthday? When's his birthday? Basic questions that your partner should already know
She sat down and waited for 2 hours until around 9:40am until she was called for fingerprinting. She had trouble with fingerprinting because her fingers sweat very easily and so her fingerprints kept smudging. About another 2 hours later at 11:40am, she was called to line up for the actual interview with the CO. She was called in at around 12noon for the interview. She raised her right hand, took the oath and sat down. These are the questions that she remembers him asking her:
- Her name, birthdate and address
- Petitioner's (me) name
- Petitioner's job
- Petitioner's residence
- When we first met?
- When we last saw each other?
- Do you intend to marry within 90 days after arrival?
- Petitioner's citizenship (dual citizen), When was I naturalized? When did my family immmigrate to the States?
My fiancee tried to expand on the answers to some of the questions by giving a detailed answer, but the CO just wanted quick short answers. My fiancee said that he seemed to be happy about the fact that we have been together since our first year in college in the Philippines and been together for almost 7 years. He told her that it made it easier to know that we weren't complete strangers having only met recently and then applying for a K-1 Visa because that's when red flags start being raised. The CO didn't asked to look at any additional papers that she brought with her to the interview. She even tried to offer the CO a look at the photo album that we had made together after graduation, but the CO said it wasn't necessary. After all that he told her she was APPROVED and told her to wait outside for her number to be called for additional information.
When she got back to the waiting area, it was time for lunch break, so they were told to come back 10mins before 1:00pm. When she came back, she was immediately called to the window for 2GO services. Then she was sent to another window and asked if the CO asked for additional documents or if she had any further questions. She was told they would text her once her passport/visa was sent.
Additional information: Immigrant Visa interviews on Wednesdays and Fridays are only half days, so if you schedule on those days, be sure to be there early so you won't be pushed back the next business day.
Thanks Everyone and Good Luck!

This is the second time we have booked through Agoda. I used paypal to pay for the booking and the hotel never asked anything from her other than the voucher.

Hi, I hope yours goes well. I had trouble when I applied before they moved. I talked with the scheduling center through chat because I felt they weren't understanding me when I explained. Anyways, the guy gave me a link to where I could schedule. I wasn't sure because everyone else I talked with on the phone said that I couldn't schedule for K1 anymore. I repeatedly asked him to confirm that this was for K1 visa schedule and he assured me that it was. I screenshot the whole conversation and asked for his name. I then called the call center agai and confirmed with them that it was also a K1 schedule and the last thing was that I received an email that it was a K1 interview schedule that I scheduled.
It maybe overkill, but the call center previously told me that if my fiancee went there for the wrong visa appointment then they wouldn't let her in. I had scheduled the first interview using the non-immigrant visa appoinment schedule that's why I needed to change the schedule in the first place.
So, good luck and try to confirm by calling the call center. My fiancee's interview is tomorrow or actually in a few hours, so hopefully they will let her in and she'll be approved.

Hey Guys,
Ny Fiancee will have her interview on March 24th and God willing, she will be approved. We planned on doing her CFO seminar the day after in PRISM since it will be the closest venue. She lives in Mindanao, so we would like to do all we can in this 1 visit. I know there's Cebu, but we would rather go here in Manila since she'll already be there.
What are some people's experiences regarding PRISM?
What time should she get there by?
What are the requirements? (does she really need to bring a copy of my US passport, my birth certificate, and proof of singleness? I am a Dual Citizen of the Philippines)
She won't have her passport/visa when she goes to the seminar, will that be ok?
Is it true that she can get her visa stamped with the sticker at the airport? (we are hoping that's the case so we can just take the seminar and then before she leaves, she gets it stamped at the airport)
Thanks for any and all help

My fiancee & I just used Agoda recently. We even had to change the dates because our interview schedule was changed. I called their customer service and they changed the dates with no problem and we were given a quick refund. So we'll be using them again when we get our hotel for the interview. Good luck to you.
-
My brother and I actually had the same problem with a 1-way ticket. We are both naturalized citizens of US and at that time we had just gotten our Dual Citizen papers for Philippines. We needed to complete the rest of the process in the Philippines, which was fine because we both went to college in the Philippines. Anyways, we were using Asiana Airlines and when we went to check in at LAX the guy at the counter said that we needed a return ticket with us. We told them and showed the our Dual Citizen papers, but he still wouldn't allow us to check in without a return ticket. Instead we asked for them to contact their Philippine Ticket Booth counterpart so we could explain to them and hope they understood the situation. The Philippine Ticket Booth told us that they would purchase for us a return ticket when we arrived in Manila. Upon arrival we were met by an Asiana Airline employee and presented us with a ticket. Went through immirgation and showed them our return tickets. After passing through Immigration, gave the ticket back to the Asiana Airline employee and we were on our way.
So long story short, a return ticket was needed, but if you can talk with an agent from where you will be arriving maybe, they can set something up so you won't have to buy another ticket.

Ok, so I called the scheduling center and they canceled my wrong interview schedule, but they said that the dates were on hold, so I am unable to schedule an appointment at this time. Does this mean that they are totally booked for March already? I had read in a previous post that the earliest available date for March was the 20th, but that was posted on Feb 20th. Has anyone been able to schedule a date more recently?
I feel so stupid, my fiancee was so excited about the date being set and we had everything ready for that date. Now we have to reschedule plane tickets to Manila and hotel reservations. We can't even do that yet because we don't have a date to reschedule it on. ARRRGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!
-
Yeah, they should've put both option right next to each other instead of putting the K-1 all the way at the bottom. But of course I am also to blame because I didn't read the whole list of options to choose from. Anyways, I was going to call, but it's a holiday and it's also night already over there.

Hi guys,
I just read some stuff online and might actually be a good thing that I read it. Anyways, I was reading a forum about how to schedule for K-1 visa interview. I've read many topics about scheduling, but I don't know if I had ever read about using the "K-1 Appointment Scheduling" option at the bottom of the page. I didn't use that option and chose "Schedule Appointment" instead.
So my question is, should I change the schedule and try to reschedule it using K-1 Appointment Scheduling or leave it as is? Has anyone else done this or heard someone do this? Any and all help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks
