If the xray at St.Lukes is clear, there isn't any reason to bring it. They told my girl that her xrays were clear.

Depending on the state that you live in, you may be able to order online.

Scorecard update. Sheena went in for her medical exam as we plannex. She was 4 days late on her period and of course it started between the airport and St.Lukes. She completed everything except the immunizations and gyn exam. They told her that as long as the medical exam is completed by Friday the 14th her results will arrive in time for her interview on the 18th. X ray was good so no sputum testing. I m planning on her arriving here the first week of Feb.

You cannot have the female gyn exam completed during the menstrual cycle. You can do the rest of the exam and come back later for the GYN. At leazt that is what I was told.
Her cycle is like clock work. Well up until this one of course. She expected it to start by the 7th and end by the 11th. I bought airfare based on that info. The cramping started but thats it. She just arrived an hour ago in Manila and is on the way to St.Lukes. I told her to explain the situation and maybe she can get the GYN exam completed first before the bleeding atarts.
Cross your fingers.

My girl just arrived in Manila to start her medical. Her period was supposed to have been over by now but she is a few days late. This isnt good for the timing of interview.
Can she go in st. Lukes with her bag that she brought with her?. Her lives in Pasig City and she is trying to get her exam asap before her period starts. Then we would have to have the interview without exam results.

I got my passport two weeks after the interview. And she can go to CFO even without her passport, but she will have to go back to have it stamped. Why not just let her do it a day or two before she leaves for the US? So she does not have to go back and forth
that is the plan. She will take the CFO this week in between medical and interview and she can fly to Manila a day early to get the stamp.

If you read further/look at the powerpoint presentation, it does clarify the K-1 doesn't use the 160. They should mention that a bit earlier though.

If you will read enough you will know that 5 months is the time the USCIS expects to process your petition in. Not a deadline but a guideline without guarantee.
Wait and then wait some more. When your NOA1 date was more than 5 months ago, give them a call. Most of us have waited more than we care to. my girl is interviewing on the 18th. I haven't seen her since May 2010.....8 months.
99% of the questions already have been answered and since you have the time, read a little.

I posted a similar post a while back. Me and my wife are happily married but we have a friend who applied for a K-1 visa for his fiance. She came here 4 weeks ago on a K-1 visa. Her boyfirend has changed on her since she has been living here and believes he will not marry her. She is asking me and my wife if she can stay here after 90 days if they do not marry? I said I am not sure?
I found this on this website (Visajourney)
Some say she has to go back to her home country.
Does anyone know what or how she can stay without being married on a K-1 or is it possible to stay here without being married? Will she get in trouble or have problems and possibly have to go back if she does not get married and stays?
Been answered a million times. Upper right corner. Click the word " search".

Can u track visa delivery with 2go?

China airlines offers that flight for $645.00 including taxes. I looked at the santraphel site. The first time immigrant visa rates are not good for a K-1 visa. They offered the same china airlines flight for $160 more than you can get directly from the airline yourzelf.

Do you get your passport back after the interview? My girl lives in Bohol. Does she have to go back to Manila after passport delivery to get the stamp then???

Visa is delivered a few days to about 2 weeks are the normal delivery time. Christmas slowed down some recent deliveries.
If your in Manila you should recieve it in a few days. The more distant and remote the longer it will take.

http://santraphael.com/home.php is a travel agency in manila. they have great prices for one way and first time travelers. huge promo as well if you or your loved ones are flying in Feb instead of january. i found a ticket for my husband for $579 including tax (not airport taxes like the terminal fee etc) from Manila to LAX, direct flight with philippine airlines. hope this helps good luck
The one way first time immigrant airfare that the other does not apply to K-1 visa holders as they are non immigrant. They did inform me that some airlines do offer a K-1 discounted fair but didn't elaborate on which ones.

I just read an article from yahoo.com concerning identity theft via your SS#. A major college determined that a computer program can guess at your SS# correctly approx. 20% of the time just using the basic info from your Facebook page.
The feds are designing a new SS# system that will provide a completely random numbering system in the near future regardless of where or when you were born.
The change doesn't affect anyone already assigned a SS# due to a law on the books. Only one number will ever be assigned to each person.

I would think that there are many many more people within the U.S. with the intent and means to utilize your info to ruin you than there ever will be in most foriegn countries.
Your girl is from the Philippines just like mine is. I assume that you have been there then you understand that there are more people who have never really used a computer in their lifetime.
Important documents you should send Fedex or DHL so the likelyhood of it being lost or delayed in shipping is minimized. I Fedex'd documents from Kansas to the middle of BFE Bohol last month and it arrived in 6 days completely safe.

No. Supplemental info will be trashed unless you recieved a RFE.

If you weren't thinking of the process and being apart from each other every waking moment, I would say maybe you both are not truly in love. So do like the rest of it and suck it up. Life goes on. My girl interviews the 18th. We met over a year ago and the last time I saw her was in May.
I can't tell you how soft her skin feels to me anymore. I just know that I can't wait to touch her again.

I had purchased a Neopolitan Mastiff from Italy before. I don't know what the cost was since it was part of the($3500 dog/$350 ship I think) purchase price. The dog was shipped on American Airlines as cargo into Orlando, Florida. They called me when he arrived at the cargo facility and was cleared from quaratine.(spelling)
. There is alot of concern with shipping in hot weather. They have to prepare for the worst such as flight delays and an animal stuck in a aluminum tube isnt good.
I think the cargo guy is making cash on the side by referring customers to the animal shipping company.

Hi!
Have anyone here used phone cards on calling someone in the Philippines?
I need some suggestions on what phone card to used and see if it's cheaper to do so than using our landline. I'm calling my Mom in the Philippines from US every other day for 30 minutes each time. We are paying over $200 every month on the landline which includes other services but most of it is from my long distance calling. I am trying hard to save a bit from a bill but still be able to talk to my Mom regularly, so I wanted to try the option of using phone cards instead if it's worth it.
Hope anyone can help. Thanks! <img src="http://www.visajourney.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
I have played the calling card game and most of them suck. You get half of what is advertised due to the hidden fees. Let me save you time and money. Go to Pingo.com. The price per minute is what you pay period, lots of local access numbers and all of my calls have had good to excellent sound quality. I think PH is .16 cents per minute but you actually get that minute at that price. All the other cards that advertise .16 cents per minute ended up costing me .26 cents a minute. I could call her on my Verizon cell for much less than that. www.pingo.com
I have used Yahoo for calls but her internet is poor at best. In Manila that would be fine I believe.

My girl lives in San Miguel, the middle of Bohol. She says she has never recieved any mail while living there. No appointment letter nor did she recieve the letter from the Immigrant Visa Unit that said she needs to call.
It was 13 days after Manila recieved our case file that we were finally added into the system.
I think there should be a sticky about "what and how to do" after NVC forwarded your file.
Also, the fee at BPI can be paid before interview or medical. I paid ours 1 day before our file arrived at the embassy. It is tied to her passport.

A month get have Visa in hand? Wth?
I don't doubt that the answer that you were given was just another erroneous answer from the call center. No doubt the holidays have delayed delivery by a few days. You can still pick it up at a local couriers office.
Does the embassy have the courier pickup visas for delivery on a specific weekday or everyday the go out?
how much?
