Mr&Mrs D. got a reaction from Darnell in NVC Case Number to Assign after NOA2 approval
It takes around 2-3 weeks (even tho they say 6-8 )to get a case# assigned and the NVC wont notify you. I suggest when getting ur NVC number to call, talk to a HumanTM and to give them yours&your spouses e-mails for further communication (it will be quicker that way!)
    Good luck!
ps: join us in the NVC filers for OCT 2010 thread! Might find more useful info!

In the future, I'd appreciate a response such as yours to be sent as a personal message. I would be doing the same to you right now if you accepted them. If you truly wanted the public to read your opinions on posting etiquette then you should have started a different thread for it. Look, I appreciate your advise on the visa process; however I do not appreciate your belittling comments on how you feel one should operate in a forum. I say belittling because you tend to write in a very know-it-all tone which works better when you're using the language of facts; however this does not work in the language of opinion. It makes you look pompous & tactless. We are all adults here, I'm assuming, and as such everyone deserves the same level of respect. There is no need for you to voice your assumptions of why ppl are doing this & that. If you really want to know, ask the source, don't ever assume. You will find that most people are well intentioned and there is no 'dis-service' intentionally being done to anybody in regards to where we are posting. And if someone really got hurt in the process I'm sure it would be apologized for when pointed out. But seriously there's no need to use belittling words like 'infantile,' that's pretty harsh. Anyways, it seems that whatever I said got to you on a personal note and like I said in the beginning here, these matters should be voiced to me and me alone if that was indeed the case. I apologize for my assumption of you not congratulating Kruz. It just appeared that way at the beg. of the thread. If you have a response to this please send me a personal message. And I apologize to anyone who's reading this but I did warn you and mark it 'off topic.'

@missads: You got it backwards, hun! I AM the beneficiary and hubby is the petitioner! And he did want to go for it but after we talked it over (did the + and - thingy) we decided to stay on the CR/IR1 path... We didn't go with the K3 because it is pointless and this stage - we already had the bills for the immigrant visa So we are half way trough NVC (hopefully no RFE's)
@Emily: Thank you!! And Happy Belated Anniversary!!! You must forgive me, I was so worried these days! Nevertheless - Quiza soys enamorados unos 24x24 años mas y que nunca sienteis la soledad!!! :energy: (my spanish might be a lil rusty too.. )

hey people! Just thought I'd share something interesting from home..
Archaeologists Uncover John the Baptist Relics in Bulgaria's Sozopol - Report
    Archaeology | July 29, 2010, Thursday
Parts of St. John the Baptist's relics might have been discovered during archaeological excavations in Bulgaria's southern Black Sea town of Sozopol, report Bulgarian media.
Archaeologists investigating the Sv. Ivan (St. John) island off Sozopol have found an exquisite reliquary – a relic urn – built in the altar of an ancient church bearing the name of St. John the Baptist
The reliquary has the shape of a sarcophagus and is dated end of 4th - beginning of 5th c. AD. It was discovered by the team of Prof. Kazimir Popkonstantinov.
The church's name, as well as the fact that it had a special emperor's statute issued, has hinted to archeologists that it might actually contain St. John's relics. The urn is expected to be opened Sunday.
St. John the Baptist - called also the Forerunner - is an imposing figure in the Christian New Testament. He was the last to prophecize the coming of Jesus Christ - and the one to baptize the young Jesus in the river Jordan. The great prophet died a martyr's death beheaded by king Herod at the request of his daughter Salome.
According to the Bible, St. John the Forerunner prophesized about Christ thus: "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and fire" (Matthew 3:11).
St. John the Baptist is especially venerated by the Eastern Orthodox Christian Church. Over the centuries, there have been controversies about where his relics are located.
The town of Sozopol is one of the most ancient on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, dating from the Bronze age. It was colonized by Greeks, headed by philosopher Anaximander, around 610 BC. Sozopol became an early Christian centre with its own bishop. For most of the Middle Ages, it was part of the Byzantine empire.
Experts will examine the discovery on Sunday tho.. nothing is confirmed yet.. here is the link: http://www.novinite.com/view_news.php?id=118622
