I believe it was the action and not the weird picture that initially branded this kid a nutcase

If the situations were reversed and a black kid with drug and trespassing charges shot a white person, but said something like "you rape our women, you have to go" beforehand ... LIB would be the first to judge the shooter for his hate-crime.
He definitely would not be calling for this country to start having a serious discussion about rape statistics.

He killed a grandmother. He killed mostly women. 6/9 victims were female. And you want to talk about men raping women?
Why is it that the only thing you DON'T want to talk about in relation to this story is the white RACIST who committed this act?
Why do you NEVER care about a victim unless they're white?

He'd been charged with a drug offense AND trespassing?
That's way more than some of the other "thugs" discussed in this forum.....

The more I think about this comment the more I can't believe anyone actually sat down and typed it out.
Trying to bring a little good out of this tragedy that has absolutely nothing to do with rape? Trying to bring a little good out of this tragedy in a way that doesn't admit that the shooter was simply a racist piece of garbage? Well, it's not like he was doing something worthy of the death penalty like selling cigarettes.

He's white. Of course he's disturbed in the head. The white ones always are. It's the black ones you have to worry about with their thuggery and violent histories.

I'm just treating this white guy the way black guys (who have done far less than slaughtered people in a church) get treated on this website. You tell me why there's a difference.

I'm being 100% serious that I want the attitude towards this shooter to be the same as the attitude towards other people who commit the same type of crimes.
But that will never happen. It never has.
He won't be called a thug or a terrorist. He was just a mentally ill kid, like all the white kids who shoot up schools and churches and movie theaters.
If a young black kid walked into a church full of white people and opened fire a) someone else would have posted this story IMMEDIATELY and b) we'd be talking about the negative impacts in the black community right now, we'd be arguing about whether or not his father loved him enough or even knows who he is, whether or not his single mother provided him everything she should have, we'd be discussing whether or not he was still in school or smoked pot once.

I'm not derailing anything. I'm asking when the attitude towards people like this kid will match the attitude towards other terrorists.

You try and tell me that if a young Palestinian burst into a synagogue and slaughtered Israelis that the response to that attacker would not be much different.
This was a terrorist attack and isn't being treated as such because of who the shooter is and that's not derailment, that's an observation and you know it.
As usual with stories exactly like this (and this country sees too many of them), white people get to just be crazy. Every other race has an agenda.
