Visa Grant reacted to batman7 in ALL F4's 2
Right now the cut-off date is 15 June 2002 and ur pd is 16 June 2004... A gap of 2 years.... and u have 3 years 9 months left for ur cspa eligibility..... i would say there is 90% chance that ur pd will get current within 3 years 9 months............. but see, the movement is unpredictable boss.... it might happen that ur pd gets current within next 2 years and it might happen that ur pd does not get current in next 3 years 9 months..... But lets see what happens in future... i think the movement would be 3-4 weeks on an average for the next 2-3 years atleast.......
----------------------------x------------------------------------x---------------------------------------------------------------------
See, movement is totally unpredictable...it is not going to move according to our assumptions and predictions........the only thing we can do is wait and pray for good movement like atleast 3-4 weeks per month.......
---------------------------------x------------------------------------------------x--------------------------------------------------
Yes, even i have heard or read somewhere that number of applicants in 2001 were more as compared to 2002,2003 and 2004. But someone like u and me had written this kind of stuff, so can't rely on that source.

hehe....
there are many websites that gives u the estimation when ur pd will get current......those websites are not handled by NVC or DOS
Every website has its own algorithm to predict when ur pd will get current.........no algorithm is genuine..........
So, don't worry....Chillax..........Keep an eye on Visa Bulletin......right now the movement is good......take 3-4 weeks movement into consideration and then estimate urself for ur pd.............

For example, ur pd gets current in March 2016, then u should get ur visa till March 2017 (bcoz time limit is 1 year)
No, there is no different process for cspa.........its same like ur principal applicant.......its just that initially ur name wont be there on ceac website, so u wont be able to pay ur fees and fillup ur ds-260 form.........but after ur parents' interview, ur process will be done if u r eligible under cspa when ur pd gets current......... i have explained this cspa process in previous posts.......just go through 5-6 previous pages, u will get an idea about the whole process........
No, its a myth that u shud be studying when u apply for visa under cspa.....no, its nothing like that............ CSPA law has only 2 points which u must suffice : (1) ur cspa age should be below 21 (2) u should be unmarried
that's it.......there is no point in this law that states that u must study...............so don't believe in what ur lawyer/agent tells u................
Ya... i-130 Form is the initial form which is to be submitted to the USCIS by your relative in USA...........
the receipt number may start from LIN or SRC or something other, it depends on in which state ur relative is living.....bcoz centers are different in every state i guess........ for example, those who have filed i-130 in Texas centre, the receipt number starts from SRC........

Just helping Sachin to rephrase his comments...You are eligible for CSPA and your name should be seen now online, if not then call / email NVC ( As you know it is tough to reach NVC), but still try and talk to them on this CSPA....They will note down your details and still may tell you that they will calculate the CSPA age only at the time of the Interview...
Good Luck

Just to add more on batman's comment...CSPA benefit will only apply if the beneficiary and derivative beneficiary must contact NVC & apply for a visa "Within One year of the PD becoming Current". If you delay the case by two years either through Rescheduling your Interview Date also, then CSPA benefit will not be applicable eventhough if the CSPA age is under 21.........So, the beneficiary has to file within "One Year of the PD becoming current".
Good Luck

ya...u have to check the fees payment page......when your file will get current for further processing, all names would be displayed on the fees payment page...so thats the way to crosscheck whether the names have been added or not........

I have attached a screenshot with this message, have a look at that........it shows your cspa calculation..........u r eligible till May 2018 Bulletin.......that means that ur pd should get current till May 2018 bulletin in order to avail ur cspa eligibility.................and ur pd is 16 june 2003, so ur pd will definitely get current till then...............u will get ur visa under cspa.........good luck

Because it is their procedure to check the family bondings and as well as to check the relationship. You can check the US embassy web pages for more information. They don't take interview on different dates if petitioner is same for all applicatant. My PD was 02 Feb and my sister PD was 15 Feb 02. My interview date was 25 Nov 14 and later US embassy rescheduled it with my sister which was 23 Dec 14.

ha ha I know that is the reason
I paid my GC fee using my credit card that's why it is shown accepted.
Moreover I also paid my sister GC fee from US checking account that is show optimized.
May be payments method differentiate the processing status.
Thanks a lot for your help.

YES.... Login to Ceac website using ur case number and invoice id number and check ur status there...they are talking about ur ceac account.......
Just check the "Check my visa application status" as well as the "fees payment" page or "summary page" where ur parents name are displayed, they might have displayed ur brother's name and might have invoiced his fees and DS-260....... if not, then they will make ur brother's DS-260 form available 3-4 days before ur parents' interview...so keep checking ur status on ceac... good luck, and ya do update us about ur brother's case, bcoz i am also under cspa and my pd will get current after 4-5 months...so it would be a great help if you would share the further details of ur brother's cspa case...

Visa Grant reacted to aleful in Sponsor parents/siblings following inside process if visiting?
hi
siblings cannot adjust status in the US, the wait for siblings is over 12 years and they must wait in their country and go through consular processing, they can come to visit but never overstay.
you can file whenever you want to
the i130 alone takes 5 or more months to be approved, the petition will take over a year if they go through consular processing.

Visa Grant reacted to Hypnos in Sponsor parents/siblings following inside process if visiting?
Siblings are not immediate relatives of a US citizen, and so cannot adjust status until their priority date became current. That would currently take about 13 years if you filed for them today.
It would constitute visa fraud for your parents to enter the US on a nonimmigrant visa with the preconceived intent for them to remain and adjust status. They can visit, and would need to leave at the end of their period of authorised stay.
You can file I-130s seeking immigrant visas for each of your parents (so you would file two I-130s) now. It will be around a year or so until they interviewed overseas and then received their immigrant visas (if approved).
It would be faster for your siblings to get here by having your parents file for them under the F2A / F2B preference, but your parents would need to be LPRs first.

Perhaps you two should marry in India and apply for the IR visa with the I-130 process.
