I am sure people who are mentally disabled have failed before.

Harpa Timsah got a reaction from Michael2017 in Medical Exams Questions (reasons to be denied)
There are only a handful of things that will get you denied. Communicable diseases. These exams are done for the public health of the US — to save the US population from diseases that are basically eradicated here, like Tuberculosis. You can have cancer, diabetes, even AIDS, and be allowed in (AIDS used to be a ban but with some lobbying it is now okay). They don't care about your weight or your eyesight or your tonsillitis. So there is no reason to worry. The doctors do immigration medicals all the time and should be good at what they do. The exam isn't THAT thorough. They are looking for their list of communicable diseases. Some places do do a quick peek of the genitals to make sure you are the gender you say you are (they are supposed to do this per the CDC guidelines but many omit it). Your state of healing is not important to them
So the most common problems are:
    syphilis
    tuberculosis
    mental health/suicide risk/self harm
    drug use
Gang tattoos are rare but as pointed out above are a reason for denial
You will need to have/get the right shots
    Hope that clears it up.

You can work the day you arrive, but for taxes you'll need a SSN. It usually takes a few weeks, or you can go down to the office (The social security administration, not USCIS) and ask for one directly.
You'll need to remove conditions in the 90 days before your GC expires (sometime in the window between the card expiring and 90 days before).

Overstay is irrelevant for spouses of USCs who adjust in-country. Your spouse is a USC, as you said, so can you explain more about your circumstances? Did you enter the country legally?

Nope, this is wrong. Take any greencard to SSA and have them update your file and remove the note on the SS card. You do not need a 10-year card to do this. The number you have is yours for life.

Oh, you were the one that said your interview letter was "different" from what you had received, but couldn't explain why you had anything to compare that letter to...
If it was your first interview letter, how do you know it was "different."
You also suspected it was "different" because it'd be a Stokes, which also suggests that you had a feeling something was not right with your case...

You see, you can insult people on Visa Journey. You just have to follow these simple rules.
    1. You need to include your enemy in a group and insult that group, not the person specifically. So instead of saying "You are hysterical" you can say something like "more proof that liberals are hysterical." Here is an example in practice: "no wonder the libs on here have such a hard time accepting reality." http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/618283-colin-kaepernick-praises-cuban-dictator-fidel-castro/?p=8397226 Brilliant, isn't it!?!
    2. You need to invent a new name for your enemy. Current examples include Snowflake http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/602548-learning-to-live-with-islamic-terrorism-in-france-and-beyond/?p=8226156 or Loony left: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/618353-not-even-president-yet/?p=8397247 Past examples include a combination of liberal and retarded, but that has now been censored. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/447442-**-an-acceptable-insult/
    3. Best yet, you need to give your new insult an acronym to obfuscate. Past examples include "Muddy Ditch Left" or MDLs, seen here. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/618353-not-even-president-yet/?p=8397511 An older one was Right Wing Nut Job, or RWNJ. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/431874-breaking-soldier-dead-in-the-uk-after-islamist-terrorist-attack/?p=6245386 There is also a new acronym insult, called "BHL" or "Butt hurt liberals," seen here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/618353-not-even-president-yet/?p=8397580 You are then free to use these insults personally, but since they are group nouns, no one is the wiser.

It i important that you know that a Green card holder is not a citizen. If she ever claims to be a citizen when she is not, or does something reserved only for citizens when she is not, like voting, she will be banned from the US for life. A Greencard is evidence of being a permanent resident.

Just file for AOS in your married name. They will accept the marriage cert as proof of name change (if you indicate your new name by calling yourself that on the forms). You can start calling yourself by your married name right now. Once you get your GC in married name it will be easy to get documents in that name from various agencies.

If you read further it says that people applying for AP based on a pending I-485 do not need to attach a statement at all. AP is routinely approved for people with pending I-485.

You can use married. Her marriage cert will be proof of name change (if elected). You don't need to have a box for new name in order to change the name.

Harpa Timsah got a reaction from mallafri76 in What is the best way to memorize/remember the time zone of each state?
I know you are young, but the internet doesn't have all the "secret answers." Most people, when they want to learn something, just learn it. Some might make up mnemonic devices, or make their own flash cards, or any such other thing that works for them. The act of doing it is what makes them learn.
There is no such thing as "only one successful method."
But if you don't know the states, I don't think you can know what states are in what zone.

OP: Submit EAD now with the NOA1 from the I-485. While you're at it, also submit the I-131 which is for travel permission. They both are free, and you never know when he might need to travel suddenly. You won't be able to get a SSN for him until you get the EAD now. Good luck.
