For the family name, all you need is to bring the marriage certificate to the social security office and apply for the card with your new last name. Then just use your name family name on the AOS paperwork.
Kinda funny how glued we get to these case updates. Before the technology was able to check the case online, we would just be sitting pretty waiting for something in the mail. Instead we get paranoid about these "touches" which probably don't mean anything other than our files being moved around or something. Granted, could be someone's getting an RFE but i've been "touched" a few times already and nothing in the mail yet. Just sitting pretty now waiting for the biometrics appt, and if something happens to come in the mail then i'll jump on that then.
