Sorry to hear of your situation but, yes, if your I-485 was approved, you should be able to get an I-551 stamp in your passport on the spot at your local USCIS office, especially given the circumstances. The I-551 is functionally equivalent to a GC. Make the infoPass appt ASAP and they should be able to resolve it right then and there.
Just tell them your situation and I would bring: the I-485 approval letter, the bad GC, your EAD/AP and your foreign passport.
Actually, it's been a while since my wife's AOS, so I don't even remember if there is an I-485 approval letter but you should have your LPR Welcome Kit that came with the GC, if I recall correctly.

Florida law enforcement now accepts electronic versions for the "license, registration and insurance, please" routine. We don't even have auto insurance ID cards anymore (all of our bank statements are online for that matter, as well.) My wife wouldn't even be allowed to show them on her smartphone, if asked, with the USCIS being a modern technology-free zone and all!
    ---
"I don't know anyone who actually saves such things." Just another reason that I'm ready for USCIS to be out of my life - ridiculous requests/demands that no other US Citizen is required to go through.

The question that always annoyed me the most at POE was "What is your final destination?" I'm a US Citizen! What difference does it make? The only people I know who have to tell the government where they will be are probationers and parolees.

We used to file much earlier but, in 2014, we started renting out the apartment she bought before we met so we have a small rental income to report. Unfortunately, Colombian banks don't generate year-end docs (tax info, mort. interest info, etc.) until the end of March, so... now we have to wait. But, we file electronically, so no post offices! (and the 2 week wait for the refund wasn't too bad.)

Six weeks in line today. This is in the range of the other examples from Orlando, going back to Oct:
Jan 2w, 4d (I don't trust this. I think it was a typo on the "in-line" month. 4 more weeks would make it similar to the others)
    Dec 6w, 2d
    Oct 6w, 4d
    5w, 0d
Hoping to hear something before the week is finished.

Because she's a U.S. House of Representatives member, not a state/local gov't official. If she is your representative now, she will still be your representative until January when the new districts take effect (unless something strange happens between now and then.)
If you are in Orange County, check here as you get closer to your interview date.

Since it is being updated right now I can't verify it but I think it will tell you everything you'll need based on your address, not on being a registered voter (which, of course, you aren't yet.)

I added my wife to my credit cards and put her as a co-borrower on a car loan. Her credit score in 12 months was over 775, starting from 0
We exercise our cards every month and pay the balance every month, never late.

What my wife and I have done through this process is avoid scheduling trips that could not be cancelled or changed whenever she had an active petition. Its easier to follow the path of least resistance with USCIS.

Would be foolish if the OP found out where she is and went to see her. Makes it easy for her to file WAVA. OP should just stay away. Divorce and move on.

In my opinion, that may be tough to prove given that she "took the visa and run".
Good luck to the OP. He immigration is between her and USCIS. You need to watch out for yourself.

Despite what the odd person always seems to say on here, it's well proven that being added as an authorized user to an existing credit card with good history is a perfect way to get your own credit rating established very quickly. That card's history transfers to you. My credit rating went from 0 to 720 within 6 months just by having my wife add me as a user to her AMEX account. Soon I was approved for my own cards. In just over a year, I'm on the new mortgage and car lease.
Unfortunately the credit rating system is used for a lot in the US - not just for lending, but jobs, rentals, etc. - so making a plan should be a priority for every couple even before their spouse (or spouse-to-be) arrives.

In the interview itself, no. I'm talking about being there for the wait, not for the interview itself.
I'm leaning towards not going, especially if it's mid-day. Maybe if it's first thing in the AM (7:30 or 8), I'll go into work an hour late - we live kind of in between USCIS and my office so it works out perfectly in that sense. I don't think Orlando offers same day interviews and, even if they do, I could still make it on time with as little as 1/2 hour notice. I have seen some interviews scheduled as soon as 3 days after so I also wouldn't want to risk taking more time off in a one week period if that happens. Besides, my Mom has already offered to go with her to keep her company, whenever it may be.

I actually think those dates refer to the oldest open cases that the office is still processing, not to their average case processing time. If they aren't closing out all of their cases within the target 5 month timeframe, they report the date of the oldest case still open (as of the date reported.)

Orlando, FL is up to Sept. 25, 2015....
I suppose we can reasonably (and approximately, of course) add 7 weeks to the Feb. 29 date to get a better idea of where they are today.

I'm the USC and my biggest adjustment has been having to explain to my wife's family that the entire country doesn't shut down for 2-3 weeks at the end of the year and that we can't visit every December because it would use every minute of my paid time off, every year. And, don't get me started on the 22 holidays/year they have off vs my 8!

Awesome! Sounds familiar... My wife is now an experienced Costco shopper though!
And, I did almost the opposite during my first extended visit to Colombia. I was used to buying all at once, Costco-style, and she was used to buying on an almost daily basis at the bodegas on her way home from work. Well, being the good fiance, I decided to buy 3-4 weeks of groceries at once while she was at work so she wouldn't have to bother. Well, let's just say buying 20+ bags of food, being alone and having no car was not the best plan. I looked like a human burro roaming the streets of Bogota!
And, here, outside of Costco, of course, Publix is the place to go for the best quality, though you will pay more for it. I generally avoid Walmart except in emergencies (like open 24 hrs. emergencies)

I wasn't as directly involved in her N-400 filing as I was for the earlier steps, so I didn't even realize that CC payment was an option these days. If I had known, I actually would have preferred to have paid that way so we could, at least, have received some cash back or airline miles out of the deal! lol

I know it's because I was born and raised here in the U.S. but bank statements are what I consider personal information, so I told my wife they only needed one or two recent months to show we're still together. They don't need a transaction by transaction account of our financial life. I guess that's what I mean by being tired of the intrusiveness of USCIS.

bigboss1984, I didn’t want to hijack your thread with my story but with your permission I’m happy to share.
As you may know Costco is a wholesale store where you can buy food in bulk. My wife, who is from Dominican Republic, loves to cook, but has only purchased enough food for 2 – 3 days at the most from many of the local bodegas on her street. The first week she arrived I told her we would go grocery shopping to have enough food for the winter. Every winter I try to “stack up” on food to reduce the amount of time I have to travel outside.
So upon her first visit to Costco she noticed and commented how it looked like a warehouse. The funny part about this story is my wife’s reaction to the amount of food I was selecting. It wasn’t just the reaction it was the shear look of shock on her face. I wish I would have taken a picture at the time because I believed the entire time there her eyes were budging out of her head. So imagine being used to only buying a few essential items of food then watching me place the following items in our shopping cart…
    20 pounds of ground beef
30 pounds of chicken (everything from wings to breast)
    5 pounds of bacon
    3 whole chickens
    25 pound bag of rice
    1 gallon of spaghetti sauce
Numerous quantities of packs of pasta of various types
Huge bags of chips, and large packs of canned goods.
Other items that was more than a month’s supply of food.
As I loaded these items in the cart my wife kept asking “Who is going to eat all of this???” and “Are you opening a restaurant???” But again, it was the shocked look on her face that made it funny.
While we were in line at the register I notice I forgot eggs. I told her to wait while I run and get them. I returned with 5 dozen eggs at which point my wife yelled “Coño!” very loudly. For those that don’t know coño is a Spanish curse word. Everyone in the line turned and looked at her in confusion. It was embarrassing but funny to me.
She spent the rest of the day taking pictures and showing her family of the excessive food. I showed her how to wrap the food and properly store it.
The following week was the big snow storm in the northeast (remember the big storm in January of this year?). Of course, being from the Caribbean my wife stayed in the house with the heat cranked high all day for weeks afterwards. It was then she appreciated the food being easily available.
BTW, it's been four months and there is still food left from that first Costco visit. The weather is getting better so she and I are going out more.

I've only been to the Miami airport once. It was an international trip but I pre-cleared Customs & Immigration in Nassau so no POE in Miami. I don't like Miami airport even without immigration.
Most ICE officers in Orlando have been OK but there are some that can still be rude. Some like to ask a million questions - Why were you there? Where do you live? Where do you work?, etc... When my wife still lived in Colombia, I was lucky enough to be able to visit her every 1-2 months while we waited for her visa. One ICE officer in Orlando got on my case when I came back after a trip because he thought I went there too often. I told him if he had a problem with it, take it up with his bosses because, until my wife's visa is approved, I'll go to Colombia as many times as I want - at least until Colombia tells me not to come back.

I wish they'd get their butt in gear and schedule my wife's interview. There isn't a lot of St Paul cases reported here, but I guess I can expect a week or two more to get scheduled if we stay at the typical time frame of the past. I thought I was used to this waiting game, but now that we're back in it, I guess I'm not
