Jen and Geert got a reaction from papiakumi in Netherlands Police Certificate
Okay I've posted about this a couple of days ago, but got some more updates on the situation today regarding getting a Netherlands "PC"
    This is how it went
    Friday 10th -
Received NVC email with the Checklist response letter saying they needed a Police certificate from beneficiary and proof of relationship to household member from the AOS documents (I had sent birth certificates as proof).
I contacted NVC, they told us to call the Consulate in Amsterdam to request a Police certificate, the opperator said it wouldn't delay any of the other documents so I went ahead and mailed off the checklist items, birth certificates needed for the AOS which I had included in the first place, but they must have lost them, and asked for them on the "checklist response letter".
    Today 14th -
Husband called Consulate this morning they tell him that he needed to go to the NVC website to read directions on requesting a police certificate (they weren't any help because we already knew what the directions said, but neither the Consulate or the NVC operator seemed to understand?...)
I called the NVC again earlier today as a follow up from Friday and explained to the operator that my husband called the consulate and they said to look up what to do on the NVC website, and she tells me to follow those directions okay so I tell her I read the directions and it said that we the applicants can't request a police certificate that the NVC needs to email the consulate and request on our behalf. The operator after having me wait a min. told me that a letter needed to be writen to the NVC saying that we called the consulate and to request a police certificate, (which is wierd because here I was talking to the NVC on the phone why do I have to write a letter to them?) I asked the operator if we could email the request, she was like "no", you have to mail it. (but husband had already sent an NVC inquiry email in the morning before I called NVC). She (the operator) wasn't helpful on how to exactly word the letter either and seemed to be annoyed at my confusion, and the phone call left me with a headache.
So they pretty much gave us the run around and left me confused because why would they ask us to request it if we can't in the first place, and I've read that other netherlands applicants haven't had this situation or maybe I read wrong, if anyone can offer any advice or has had this problem any extra info would be helpful. I guess I'll just wing the letter if anyone can offer advice on what to write, thanks.
Here's the directions on obtaining a Netherlands police certificate from NVC websitehttp://travel.state.gov/pdf/pk3_supplements/AMS-PK3-ENGL-0001-0904.pdf

Also when mailing should I include the Police certificate request letter with the checklist coversheet and checklist or also add the birth certificates again, (even though I mailed the birth certificate copies on saturday and they arrived at NVC on monday, would they be able to sort that out?)

Jen and Geert got a reaction from TheFantastics09 in Exactly 6 months yesterday, no word from USCIS (NOA2)....
Hi just wanted to say that the wait isn't easy usually the worst part of this process and it just seems like it's gotten a bit crazier at the services centers, but just keep up with your case you have every right to know the details and be in the loop, your lawyer should tell you everything also, demand it you are paying him/her. You'll get through this soon and can put all this behind you. Best of luck

Yea it's really hot this summer, I don't enjoy the heat much even though I'm stuck working in it. My garden seems to be doing well though I started it a little late, but hopefully in a month I'll see some veggies growing, some of my pepper's are almost ready to be picked. =)
I'd love to be able to spend a day at the beach this summer maybe I might try to. Whats everyone else up to besides "immigration paperwork"

I live in a semi small town "Magnolia" near Houston, TX and about a 2 hour drive to Galveston, TX. Carnival Cruise Lines has a port at Galveston and they have great wedding package deals that aren't too expensive in my opinion so we will try to save for that, we'd like to have the wedding on the boat before it departs so everyone can attend and not have to be pressured to pay for a cruise, me and Geert will then take a 7 day cruise because we didn't really have a honeymoon so it'd be something we really want to do together. I got this all planned out hehe so after immigration we'll save up on it for sure~

Wife is starting to put evidence together in an organized fashion for the interview. She is actually having fun doing it. Like a big scrap book. I am still researching and collecting things needed for the next applications.

    Hello everyone,
Just joined the group but not new to the process. Previous filed for the parents and monitored my sister petition.
I just filed the petition on May 17th for my husband and I hope it gets approved soon enough. The wait is killing.

    Hi All,
New here but wanted to join all the May filers.
    14th May 2010 - I-130 arrived at Chicago Lockbox
21st May 2010 - USC hubby gets notification saying it has been received and forwarded to California Service Centre. (Is that the NOA1?)
Wish the whole process could be speeded up

Hello!! I filed April 22 and received my NOA1 April 29, so I'm borderline April/May filer. My case was last touched May 13... Two weeks seems like an eternity. But we do what we have to right?
