Hey! I dont know if you are on facebook or not but I am in a "Only women" group that is married to Egyptian men. ALOT of women in the group are living in Egypt and many of them have been for quite some time... theres over 100+ of us women in the group... we talk about everything and is a great group of women. If you are interested in being added, just send me a message on here and I'll talk more to you about it.
i will be there in 3 weeks

We can't answer that question unless we know what you've already submitted. The RFE will usually give specific examples of the sort of evidence they're looking for. What exactly did you submit with the petition, and what exactly is listed on the RFE as examples of evidence they'd like to receive?
Did you send your airline info? Boarding passes, luggage tags, agenda of your travel there within the last 2 years.......
Also hotel receipts, meal receipts....... etc etc.
Also to show you and her in same place, did you submit pics of you and her together?, with her and her family, friends?
Pics at landmarks in the country you and here were there together is always good to show you were there with her.

Just an update...
My husbands interview is today. It is 815 am Thursday morning in Egypt. And it is 1215am Thursday morning in Illinois.
My daughter and I are back from the embassy and it was 730. We showed up at 7 and there were 100 people in one line....they said we could not enter. Dang it. lol
I had wrote the embassy an email a few weeks ago to make sure my 13 year old daughter could enter with my husband and me. They wrote back yes she can attend the intervew with you.
So, he showed them the email, they took it in the back and returned with a sheet that stated the NEW RULE of no American Petitioners allowed with the beneficiary into the embassy. So we said thank you and walked 40 seconds back to our hotel (Shepheards Hotel) and now we will wait for him to return.
Gesh! I hate that new rule!!!, but I do understand it is some ways, always so croweded there, but the spouse SHOULD be able to attend, only the spouse, its too much and too crowed for kids, long waits. I hope all went well with interview .

Im going home in March to see my husband and family for holiday, BUT I will be there for him with interview.
In March we will already start going over all with him. We wont have a interview probley till late summer/early Fall so plenty of time. But I know I will give him my passport to show them Im here and waiting outside, and I will write a letter stating Im here waiting outside, and will answer any questions, blah blah blah.
Our case is strong, we had it all, pics of us, and his family, happy , emontional pics, statements, joint savings account in Egypt, Life insurance on each other, all we could submit, but I admit, Im scared, and as I say, its leading the lamb to the slaughter......... Our relationship goes as far back as early 2010, evidence showing that, way before the revolution...........God help us all...........

1 ?? I submitted 3 each, 3 for Petitioner, 3 for Beneficiary.... no wonder why my petition stack was 6 inches thick....

No, I did not request an expedite. I really have no idea what caused the speedy approval. I followed the same procedures as everyone else, documents and all.
I'll paste here the same answer I told another member:
I inquired about the possible motives and was told by other VJ members that some reasons could be: 1) Beneficiary is from a low-risk country, 2) I'm residing in the same country as the beneficiary, 3) Just pure luck, 4) Unknown reasons
Sorry I can't be of further help on this matter
PURE LUCK, and a big congrats on your Luck. Best wishes on the rest of your journey..........
Petitions are processed on the first come, first serve process..........

Hello,
I have a Question?? Since, I'm visiting my husband in April 2012. Would it be a good idea, if we both went to the US Embassy in Tunis, Tunisia and TRY to do anything about our I-130 Petition or his Interview. I'm expecting and Due in August 2012 and need my husband with me. Anything suggestions would help.. Thanks!!
It is always best if the American attends the interview, it can not hurt........

WHOAAAAAAAAAAA, wait a minute, they are denying access for Americans into their own EMBASSY????
That is leading the lamb to the slaughter without the American spouse......... Im sorry but it is the truth, that is the rudest embassy I ever had to deal with, getting our Permission to marry letter was a event alone, first thing out of the guys month behind his window when we asked for the form , he said to my husband, This wont get you a Visa" God's nightgown, I jumped back at him and said "Who in the hell mentioned a visa", and to my surprise he shut the hell up.....
I hope this new turn of events will be reversed at time of our interview........
Its leading a lamb to the slaughter right now...........

As others have told you contact the embassy, request 2nd interview, and if you get it YOU need to be there also, This is your life and future in the hands of the embassy, GO to the interview....
-
Rule #1 for interview, OVERLOAD is better then unload yourself............... Be OVER prepared, this is the moment you've been waiting for.......... DO it up right......
Best wishes on the interview.........

There has been many cases I know of myself personally that married younger men, some women as much as 22 years older, and their husbands were issued visa, and at U.S. Embassy Cairo which is a hard embassy due to fraud. Age is not always a BIG red flad, mainly the evidence submitted, which the embassy looks at so much, emails, chats, pics with spouse and their family, communication with family, shared finances, it all makes a big difference of a approval or a denial at the interview........ if possile, request a new interview, and BE THERE at the interview..........
All the best

Hi everyone.. Me and My husband are getting confused with a lot of requirements they need. Can you give us some advices regarding on this matter. We have been married last October 9, 2011.. We didn't yet pass or file for I-130 cause we don't know what to start or what are the specific requirements needed. Just want to asked if we need to pass a marriage certificate coming from National Statistics Office? and do we need also to pass my passport with the my marital status? cause i have already my passport but it was still single. When filing for I-130 thus it also include I-864 for sponsorship and I-485 for Application to Register for Permanent Residence.. I do hope that you would help us. We are still starting for these process, we hope you can contribute us some ideas. Thank you and God Bless us All.
Here start here, and read the Guidelines on the CR1 visa(marriage Visa) this will help you.

To my relief i have been talking to a few people that have been through this and gotten this same RFE before and 2 Lawyers. Many get the same basic RFE and there not looking for anything but their required to. Kinda like a test to see how serious you are. Becasue they know that as the months of waiting go by, that a roadblock like this can be more then discouraging. And my friends that have recieved the same RFE all had different types of cases to be older, to same age, to strict religious convictions, and no questionable red flags. Lets not forget some people do not even send in a lot of proof and easly get their NOA2. So most likey I was the lucky number that got the RFE for the day. Or maybe my past visa journey had something to do with it. But my past has nothing to do with my orignal question. Which no one seems to have a answer to it, not even the lawyers. They advise, if they ask for them to just send them in.....so... I stay buffled but will do it.
YOUR RFE is one I have seen 3 times from other filers, WORD FOR WORD.............(Typical of the Beneficiary's country) EGYPT..........
You won the daily pick of a FULL RFE that day, just give them all they want, and you will be fine, ITS up the the U.S. Embassy Cairo to be the ones to decide your visa case and if anything they will do the questioning of your past filing if needed. U.S. side only makes sure its a real marriage, no worries Girly, your good!!!!

Hello good VJ,
I need some answers and advice please, Me and my wife dated for almost 4 years before we get married and at the time we live in the same country until 2006 when i came to USA, we get married (traditional) on 2008 without my presence, in my culture as long as the both families agrees your relationships both families can come together and performs all neccesary rites and thats what I did 2008 all my family were present at the ceremony, and it was such a great occation when I watch the video and the pictures. I went back home 2009 to be with her and we went to court to offically register our marriage but we didn't do any ceremony or party afther the court marriage since is already been done in 2008. The question is, the only picture that we have together were the pictures at the court ceremony with a few famliy member that were invited since i didn't want to have more people attending at that time. Can I write a letter and explain the whole thing including the traditional pictures? OR I just have to use the court pictures as evidence and ingore the tradtional one. really confuse about this.........Im about to send my I-130 petition for her.....really miss her like crazy
any advice is much appreciated.
My advise, front load that petition, send it all, Pics, explanations, the whole thing.
Keep the explanation short and to the point..........
Best wishes!!!

Wonderful news........ congrats and good luck to all...........

After looking at my I-130 peition copies, I think I may of messed up on Part C Question 17 List husband/wife and all children of your relative.
I of course put my name as the wife since Im his closes relative, BUT was I suppose to list his kids (They are NOT immigrating with him to USA) AND we have NO kids together.
Did I mess up by NOT listing HIS children.
Thank you!!

How can you find out when you're out? When i put my case # in on embassy site then it says it can't find this record?
AP is common especially for Egypt. As Betsy said, it varies from the time.
Have your wife call the Dept of State for weekly updates on your AP.
YOUR not the first to have AP and will not be the last, so dont take it personal.
Best wishes for a fast AP.

me and my wife lived together for 10 days before she went back to us. we mentioned the same on our app. are we screwed now ?
No your not sc**wed, dont worry, many mess up on that question.
That question is basically ment for when the petitioner legally lives in beneficiarys country, legally, work reason, etc.
Dont worry, you will be okay.
Touches??
