  1. Rmash,

Wasalam, Islamabad is an expensive city and I think it is not easy to find a good hotel with *** facilities within a reasonable price. I paid my self around $200 plus tax (30% sales tax in Pakistan on luxuries) per night during my last visit in mid January 2005. It was peak season and not easy to find anything at any cost.

I think you may try Ambassador Hotel it is on Khayaban-E-Shuharwardy, Sector G-6/1, Islamabad, Pakistan.

    Good luck.

  2. everyone,

my wife got a packet today and it said she has an interview on april 28th 2006,:) .

do you think that we will get the k-3 visa the same day??

I need to plan my flight i know i am going to leave the states on the 21st of april inshallah, but when should i book my return flight.

    thanks

    Rmash,

Congratulations, embassy has scheduled a visa interview J great. As Mary, said normally visa section of United States embassy ISL issues visa on same day to ladies.

  3. Atif,

It is very easy to get a police certificate in Pakistan. Technically police department calls it ‘Character Certificate’. SSP (Senior Superintendent of police office issues it however inquiry comes through applicant’s area police station.

For example if you live in Clifton Karachi then SSP of District south will issue you character certificate however Clifton police station will process inquiry/investigation. Just spend some RS then everything will be done without any problem.

I think you should have to have that paper from embassy to get ‘police certificate’. Well you can try without papers.

  4. You can put your inquiry in K/3 folder (I have seen lot of people specially from UK & Canada came to USA on K3). Talk to someone who is already in US via K/3. I told you yesterday my buddies wife came from Pakistan on K/3 their I130 approved after two months of her arrival to US. I can accept that for AOS (Adjustment of Status) one should have NOA2 Of I130.

Embassy will not ask someone by the time of K/3 interview to produce I130 NOA2. Visa consular entitled to ask K/3’s NOA2.

You have already seen SCY comments.

Do not worry my friend K/3 will inshallah help you.

    Wasalam,

  5. Congrats Mrs.ShonJaveed, may Parwadigar fix your issue.

Thanks Michigan for your feedback as I mentioned yesterday in order to get K/3 Visa it is not required to have I130 approved.

We are talking totally two different things

1, K/3 visa (Embassy issues non-immigrant visa to avoid all CR1 lengthy delay, Once spouse of USC gets K/3 she/he can come and wait until I130 approves)

    2. Once I130 approves (while spouse is in US) USC spouse can file AOS of his/her non-immigrant spouse.

  6. Rmash,

It is true that US Embassy issue K/3 visa even if your I130 is pending (my friends took K3 route) and mostly there is no AR for women at least I didn’t hear any yet. So do not worry just pray inshallah things will be workout for you.

  7. It is not true they will not issue K/3 visa until I130. At least I met personally three couples (my own relative) Male USC brought their wives from Pakistan in 2005.

Normally Pakistani women have no issue however there is big problem for Men.

Do not worry. K-3 rocks one of my best friend’s wife came from Pakistan in October/Nov 2005 without approval of I-130.

Their AOS approved in January 2006.
