My fiance got a 221 g on white paper and it says admin processing or something like that. But she told him she would call him after she looked at all the e-mails he gave her. She didn't say anything about security checks or nothing. Could this mean she might be sending petition back? I am worried.

oh i got a same thing but after this they sent cable to DOS and request security check i got same white paper saying admin processing....but its didnt say 221(g) but its 221(g) i guess....yes this is good to share the contacts of your paper...

    ARS,

Bro talk something else you are too much in Immigration. Everyone know here that it will over one day (Inshallah) tell you the truth it will give you more pain if you 24/7 just thinking about your Visa. Try to be relaxed otherwise life would be miserable.

    Chill out brother.

Miami finally knocked off Detroit today and advanced to 1st NBA Final. It was a great game Big Shaq again did a wonderful job besides Dwyane Wade.

  4. I can insult you easily and in no time

Then do it. The rabble demands entertainment.

I KNOW my Latitude and Longitude.

    What does that even mean?

Any location on Earth is described by two numbers--its latitude and its longitude (X - axis & Y - axis ). Simply it is my morale and religious boundaries as man.

    Moral, not morale.

    Okay !

  5. oh man its getting hot in here again. Time for some pakola. where is atif

the cool thing is i dont mind any of the comments, i read them and move on. The rules are rules, and there is nothing i can do to change them. if someone has a different opinion thats fine, i

as the rock says in wwe

It Doesn't Matter What Your Name Is!", and

"Know your role and shut your mouth!"

What do you think? ...It doesn't matter what you think

    lol

    it is very funny :P

  6. Maybe I will volunteer...in an agency that works with narrow minded men like you in order to change the way you view us women. And what's the diff between paid and unpaid work? So you wouldn't want your wife to work for money but she can work for free? What's the deal with that?

Excuse me mind your language. I respect every single woman. I follow my religion ‘OK’ in my last statement I wrote it would be great if ‘Our Muslim ladies’ [excluding NOT FAITHFUL WOMEN] involve in volunteer work. Muslims communities across the globe need volunteers.

When ever you dont like when ladies speak up. you holler religon. Dont drag religion in your

arugments! god also gave us a mind - to think with. a mouth to speak with! and a foot to kick you square in your azz!!!

you Narrow minded men get on here and try to tell us how to speak!!! what we should be thinking!! last time I looked I did not see none of yall my husband or nizzys husband. not that my husband tells me what do to in the slightest. The last time I checked I was already grown up. I dont need Re- Rising.

Narrow minded men cant deal with a woman like me. we are to smart! narrow minded men try to make us

think they are doing us a favor. I dont think so! Doing use a favor is gettign the hell out of the way

so we can persue our education goals, Persue our work goals and have our own assets. The narrow minded men dont want their wifes to have anything. I dont see how they called that Pampered. its not in my book.

You rather keep your wife oppressed. The day something happen to you - is the day she will realized you kept her in oppression- like a fish out of water.

I can insult you easily and in no time but I am NOT interested in that. I know myself Alhamdulliah I KNOW my Latitude and Longitude.By the way thank you very much for your post.

  7. Maybe I will volunteer...in an agency that works with narrow minded men like you in order to change the way you view us women. And what's the diff between paid and unpaid work? So you wouldn't want your wife to work for money but she can work for free? What's the deal with that?

  8. I would like to contribute to the discussion about women and their careers. I am a muslim male from Pakistan. Islam does not prohibit women from pursuing a career and does not say that women should be just house wives. Women can pursue a career if it does not affect their responsibility towards their home and family. I know many Pakistani women with careers who took a break for sometime after having kids and went back to work after their kids started going to school. Islam does not confine women to just delivering babies, breastfeeding cooking and cleaning.

In Pakistan this is a common male view that women should not work outside the house. It has more to do with the culture than religion. Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) first wife Khadiza was a very successful businesswoman of that time. It should open the minds of narrow minded Pakistani men.

Thank you very much Mr. Open Mind from Ohio. In whole our conversation I didn’t write my Ideology. All I wrote is the fact it is not a culture. There are tons of Islamic forums available on web to discuss these issues. It is not an open mind or narrow mind thing. This is about how you want to spend you life. I don’t know what religion you follow but if you know the history of islam then remember that Hazrat Khadija a.s. Used to do business when Rasool Allah didn’t start the movement of Islam. If you are really knowledgeable and open mind person as you describe then please bring any witness of her business after the mission of Allah's prophet has completed or even after her marriage with Prophet of Allah.

By the time Bibi Khadija (a.s) got married, she was quite a wealthy lady, so wealthy that she felt no need to keep trading and increasing her wealth; instead, she decided to retire and enjoy a comfortable life with her husband who, on his part, preferred an ascetic life to that of money making. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) had no desire to accumulate wealth; that was not the purpose for which he, peace and blessings of Allah upon him and his progeny, was created. He was created to be savior of mankind from the darkness of ignorance, idol worship, polytheism, misery, poverty, injustice, oppression, and immorality.

Hey, can you guys help me figure this out?

I'm trying to fill out the G325a form, both from VJ and USCIS downloads and only the first page is "fillable". I've tried both the latest Adobe Reader version (7.0) and the 5.0 version (as suggested on the USCIS page. The first page is fine, but the 2,3,&4 are not "fillable". Any solutions you know of???

    Thanks in advance!

Please check on Google fillable version's of Adobe are available.

Muslims Watch as the War on Hijab (Head Scarf) Continues in Europe

    =====================================================================

BERLIN - Germany’s most populous state, North-Rhine Westphalia, on Wednesday issued a ban on teachers in public schools wearing the Muslim headscarf.

It is the eighth of the country’s 16 regional states to adopt the controversial measure.

A law banning the Islamic headscarf was adopted by the regional parliament of the western state where the conservative Christian Democrats hold a majority.

The Greens and the Social Democrats voted against it.

The Central Council of Muslims in Germany said the new law was unconstitutional because it does not treat all religions as equal, banning only the headscarf and not the Christian cross or any other religious symbols.

Germany, the home to the world’s biggest Turkish community outside Turkey, saw a heated debate about whether headscarves should be banned in schools in 2003 when such a law was proposed in France. It was adopted by the French parliament in 2004.

The German constitutional court ruled at the time that it was up to each state to write its own laws on the matter.

    DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

The World Trade Center site was still a raw mound of twisted steel and debris when Muhammad Jawwad applied for naturalization in November 2001.

Less than a year later, he was called for both his test and interview - the final step before he was to be sworn in shortly afterward as a U.S. citizen.

"I remember the woman asking me, 'Why is your name Muhammad?'" said Jawwad, 46, a health insurance enrollment caseworker at Coney Island Hospital who came from Pakistan 11 years ago. "I told her that's what my parents put down on my birth certificate."

Jawwad, whose wife and kids already have become citizens, has waited 3-1/2 years for his swearing in even though immigration officials are required to complete the process within 120 days of the interview. They say the holdup is his FBI clearance.

Immigrant advocates say hundreds - if not thousands - of men with Arabic-sounding or Muslim names are experiencing endless delays in what should be the pro forma final step of the citizenship application process.

"I understand the burden that the government has in wanting to make sure that all security checks go through," said Dev Viswanath, a Queens attorney who said he has two clients who have waited years for their swearing-in ceremonies. "But having to wait two or three years ... is just ridiculous."

Azhar Sajawal was unable to join the Police Academy in January because his name was placed on hold by the FBI - delaying his swearing-in ceremony for a year. At the time of enrollment, a cadet is required to be a U.S. citizen.

"I passed the NYPD exam, I even passed their background check, eye exam, plus the hearing exam and other medical exams," said Sajawal, 26, of Elmhurst, Queens. "I just want to serve this city. I want to be a cop."

Mohammed Nasser, 34, an advertising writer for Citibank, has been afraid to travel for a year now, fearing that he'll be called in for his naturalization ceremony and miss the notice.

"I want to know that my papers are okay and they're being looked at," said Nasser, who lives in Astoria, and hails from Egypt.

Last month, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee launched a national legal campaign to get the government to resolve hundreds of cases. More than 40 lawyers filed lawsuits in federal courts, requesting that a judge step in and force U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to complete the stalled naturalization cases.

In response, CIS decided it will stop interviewing people whose FBI background checks have not cleared.

Bill Carter, an FBI spokesman, said the delays began in 2002, when CIS booted 2.7 million names of applicants back to the FBI for additional checks, causing a backlog.

"It's a very complicated process - it involves dozens of agencies and often foreign governments," said Carter, adding that only 1% of citizenship applicants have had to wait more than the 120 days.

Mohammed Razvi, the executive director of the Brooklyn-based Council of Peoples Organization, said he is working with more than two dozen men who don't know what else to do to finalize their citizenship cases.

"These are people who did everything that they were asked to do," Razvi said. "We're holding back our new citizens."

  10. I like your explanation...but what you said before about it being culture still doesnt make it okay...but I totally get that in Pakistan that is the mentality. Sorry to get all nose but would you be angry if your wife expressed the desire to work?

    Nizzy,

I know my wife very well she has no desire to work.

Allah (SWT) lifted from women the obligation of working to provide and support themselves and their families. He made this obligation particular for men alone. Allah (SWT) commanded men to be responsible for the care of women during all stages of their life.

While she is a child, she is under the care of her father. This responsibility is not lifted except by her marriage or (his/her) death, nor does it cease after she reaches a certain age as occurs according to the laws in many nations.

After she marries, the responsibility falls on her husband so long as she is under his care due to the contract of marriage.

If she has neither father nor husband, the responsibility of her care falls on her brother who assumes the role of her father when he is not present; and if she has no brother then whoever is her closest male relative from whom she would inherit and whom would inherit from her (would assume the role of her father).

If she has no male relative, the obligation falls upon the Muslim community. The responsibility of her care is a communal obligation and if none fulfills that duty, all have sinned.

Furthermore even if she is wealthy, Islam has dropped from her the obligation of assuming care of anyone. With the presence of her husband (or for that matter her parents), it is not required that she spend upon her children unless she seeks to do such as an act of righteousness, kindness and maintaining ties of the womb. She is not obligated to work in order to take care of herself or her children.

This lifting of the obligation of working for the purpose of providing for herself was in order to preserve her from being degraded, as many jobs that are sought to gain livelihood entail humiliation and hardship. Likewise this responsibility was lifted to preserve her from temptation and mixing with men and because this is from the specialization that Allah (SWT) has made as a law for His creation.

If a woman were charged to work in order to provide for her livelihood in addition to her natural duties of pregnancy, child birth, and breast feeding this would be an obligation above what she could bear and would be an injustice to women. Otherwise this work would be at the expense of her natural duties of pregnancy, birth, breast feeding and raising her children. This is exactly what has occurred with all nations that have deviated from what Allah (SWT) has made a natural state among His creation.

In these non-Muslim societies, men are pleased with this situation as this gains for them greater gratification with women and drops from them a considerable amount of the responsibility of working and supporting their women and children. This is obviously a selfish attitude on the part of men. Sadly many women are pleased with this situation of combining working outside the house to support themselves, and their natural duties of pregnancy, child birth, and breast feeding.

We may ask, what is the economic, moral, or social value for women working in factories, armies, cleaning streets and airports, repairing trains, cleaning public restrooms, as security guards, driving taxis, and all other occupations?

This is all from the wretched life that Allah (SWT) has warned whoever distances himself from His way. Allah (SWT) has said:

"But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (neither believes in this Quran nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection. He shall say: "O my Lord! Why have you raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)." (Allah) will say: "Like this, Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, leassons, signs, revelations, etc.) came unto you, but you disregarded them (i.e. you left them, did not think deeply in them, and you turned away from them), and so this Day, you will be neglected (in the Hellfire, away from Allah's Mercy)." (Ta-Ha 20:124-126)

Although Islam has not obligated a woman to work to seek a living and has appointed someone to be responsible for her during all the stages of her life, Islamic law has given her the right (so long as she has reached the age of maturity and is competent) to own and dispose of her properties without any guardianship over her (whether that be her father, husband or anyone else).

She has the right to own all forms of property, to buy and sell, give gifts and charity, and all forms of expenditure (without wastefulness) so long as it is her wealth and her acquisition. However if she if incompetent, Islam does not distinguish between men and women in declaring someone legally incompetent. Islam gave women the right to own and dispose property, so that by this she could be a full legal personality possessing the full right to administer her wealth. Islam provides her with specific sources to acquire wealth, like the dower, inheritance, gifts, and all other lawful means for acquiring wealth.

As a woman in Islamic law is not required to maintain herself or others, she was given half of what men receive in inheritance in view of the fact that she is not responsible for the maintenance of anyone and to replenish men's wealth who alone are responsible to work and provide maintenance.

In this matter, Islam opposed the un-Islamic practice that forbade women to inherit under any circumstance because they did not maintain anyone or fight against any enemy. Allah (SWT) sent down in His Glorious Quran: "There is a share for men and a share for women from what is left by parents and those nearest related, whether, the property be small or large - a legal share." (An-Nisa 4:7)

Without doubt those who claim that Islam is unjust towards women because it gives them half of what men receive in inheritance are ignorant of the distribution of rights and obligation in the pure, just Islamic law. Allah (SWT) says: "Do they then seek the judgement of (the Days of) Ignorance? And who is better in judgement than Allah for a people who have firm Faith." (Al-Ma'idah 5:50)

ShonJaveed, if you accepted Islam as faith then I think it is time to read at least the core objects of Islam.

lol, sorry if it got hot in here, but its ok. I dont care.

IT security is in demand too.

You are right IT Security is hot too. Both security & audit are link to each other. The only difference between them is IT requires real technical knowledge however Audit is total functional that is the main reason you will find ninety percent Caucasian in this field because they have superb presentation and perception skills.

  11. yep, i am sending my wife some big $$$ to spend this month. PSOFT, i think an agency that like trains you and then sends you out to do project is something that i am looking for.

Indian does like this. They make small companies and then train folks and place them on projects if I found something in Chicago I will let you know. But try to post your resume on Monster, simplyhired.com & Dice. Try to get in SOX (IT Audit) it is very hot these days. You can make big $$$ in this field if seriously pursue it as career. My expertise is in IT security been doing PeopleSoft security for almost 8 years and now in SAP security.

  12. I knew that you pissed off. Why you always take everything on your heart. It is between you and your husband what you guys decide about your life. I am talking as whole nation not any individual. In your short visit to Pakistan you didn’t realize that there is very low percentage of female workforce in Pakistan. It is our culture as well our religious values that we don’t like that our mother/sister/wife works if there is no financial desires (period). But these things are not imposed on every single person. If husband and wife mutually agree then there is no harm in it to let the wife works.

Long story short I don’t like my wife will work even though she has a master’s degree as well one-year diploma from London. I know that you can’t understand my point because I told you earlier that there is huge gap between our cultures, Please do not take it wrong (I am not talking about African American culture) it is American and South East Asian culture.

  13. SHON: My wife is still in school until december 2006, and i am done with this school for now. I want to get that k3 visa as soon as possible. i dont care if she cant finish school, forget this school. Its not like she will be working.

What if she wants to finish school and wants to work?

how can you say YOU DONT CARE if she finish school? thats pretty crappy Idea!

if my husband ever said that - he would get a full swift kick in his azz!!

she is close to graduation- you want her toss it in the wind. you have a real messed up mentality

dont want your wife to work or reach her goals. Ufff

    SU Gente!!!

    Shon,

You always have to remember that there is huge culture difference between your and Hafiz. We (Pakistani, South East Asia decents) are from male dominating society where ‘Men’ are responsible to bring bread and butter home not ‘Women’ that is the reason we pay more attention over’ Men’ Education/carrier rather woman. In our society Ladies first responsibility is to take care of home and raise kids.

I know it sounds awkward to you but it is reality. We love to pampered our wives.

  14. psoft i have a BS in Information Systems, got my degree back in 2004. I have like 3 years of experience, mostly in networking and support.

I was looking to start my MS in either IS or Accounting. LOL people overseas have this obsession with degrees, personally i could care less.

I have this friend who recently finished training in SAP, and got a contract job for a few months. So i am thinking of going through the same route. SAP pays good bucks, i know its not easy, But its worht it.

Instead of doing masters I would rather say e.mail your resume to D&T and E&Y. they always looking for Consultants specially those who willing to work across United States. SAP training is very costly if you are planning to do it of your own. It is always recommended to get the training from company’s expenses.

I got following e.mail from embassy today.

    =====================================================================

This applicant’s response to our packet 3.5 received on May 15, 2006, and awaits review. As soon as it is done we will contact the applicant. Please check back with us after about ten days.

  15. anyone knows the email address of DOS?

I Think the only way to contact DOS is 'Telephone' No e.mail

anyone knows the email address of DOS?

After 2 interviews, 2 bio metrics, 2 medicals, we got 5 e mails for AOS appoval. so far no green card no letters to wellcome to USA. it took 10 months for USCIS to approve my wife,s case. we made several info pass appointments. visited local USCIS about more than 10 times. wrote several letters to every one involved. it was hard work. good luck to every one.

    Mike,

Congrats, finally U got approval notice !! awesome !!

  18. psoft i wanted to get into SAP, just wanted to get your opinion on. What the best way to start out, Training(how much it cost, how long is it for, what kind of background in IT do you need?).

SAP pays big BUCKS mega $$$. The projects are short though.

The only way to get into SAP is someone hired you and trained you like big consulting companies they hire young and experience both type of individuals and after extensive training programs they place ‘em on client projects. D&T, E&Y and other smalls consulting companies always-hiring folks.

Tell me first what is your IT background? Then I will advice accordingly.
