If any other member else has some relevant info to add, please feel free to do so.
Thanks

Also be prepared to send in a lot of evidence to prove your marriage is valid, wonder at times if its worth the effort, so much easier to apply five years minus 88 days where none of this evidence is required.

hey guys,
I've been a green card holder for a little over 3 years. My husband, US Citizen, and I would like to start my naturalization process.
I believe I meet the requirements to start the process, please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
However, we most likely will be moving out of state in the next few months, most likely far away from where we are now.
Since I most likely will be filling at Vermont, will my case be able to be transferred to different USCIS offices? It states on the guide than some states file to certain USCIS offices.
Thanks in advance Visajourney knowledgeable members!

We got married on oct 2010, got my green card on march 2011. We've been married for over 3 years. Can I apply for naturalization if I have been married for over 3 years, yet only a resident for less than 3 years?
Thanks in advance for yer response visajourney active members!

Hello all,
I currently own a small business restaurant, at this point I cant find myself the time to run my business.I have tried hiring managers and promoting team members. However, shortly after that i am taking back over my business due profitless business management.
I would like to bring my brother to take over my business, Where do I go from here?
He is 25 years old, and he has a gastronomy degree.
Thank you in advance

Hello,
I am a green card holder, and I own a small business, I decided I cant take care of it anymore and I wonder if I could sponsor employment to my sister, so she can manage my business,
Can I sponsor employment to a relative if I am a green card holder?
If so, where do I start?
I know it costs 580 to file a petition, are there any other expenses I should be aware of?
What are the requirements my sister would have to meet?
How long does the process take?
Thank you in advance

Thank you so much to all of you for your quick reply. My flight kind of goes like this: USA - London Heathrow Arpt - another country (final destination). Therefore I wont think I'd be needing a visitor visa.
Have a great night and thanks again!

Hello everyone,
As a Green Card holder, does anyone know if I need a transit visa to go through London? I checked the embassy website, but I ended up very confused.
Have a great night and thanks in advance for your answer!

Hello everyone,
My husband and I are planning to travel outside the US.
At the moment I have a green card on my married name, but my passport is on my maiden name. Which name should I use to book my ticket? or What should I really do?
Thank you so much for your reply in advance

Freda I really don't know what you could do, but how about calling the embassy on Monday during the scheduled time for Immigrant Visa Cases? I think they will give you a more accurate answer
Visas de Inmigrantes:
Atención Telefónica: De lunes a jueves de 2-3 p.m.
Teléfono: (51-1) 618-2000
They make you wait 20 mins on hold, so be patient and don't hung up.
Good luck

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Wish you guys the best!!!!!!

I'm glad you picked this up payxibka - this poster is married but petitioning for a fiancee ...maybe she should run away. Dude consider getting your stuff straight on the site. You'll get more help that way.
Good luck
Some people realized this was a joke instantly, then shortly after I cleared all confusion and stated this was merely a joke and a *funny* way of asking what I needed to ask. For those who are dumb enough to still think there is a wife, please go post and troll somewhere else. It is disappointing that this went down this way, but thats what happens when sad lives and downers get involved like this last poster, who probably even after reading this still wants to believe there is a wife, just to feel better about his own wasted years. *Dude* go get a life and no thanks for not being helpful.
Finally, thanks to all who shared a laugh with us, and those who answered our original question. We wish you the best.

Hahaha,
I cant believe my fiancé actually sent that.. he is so playful
Calm please, we are not complaining either married.
Wish you not luck, but success to all of you. Everyone deserves to be with their beloved!
And again, thanks for the reply.

Your wife? If you have a wife and you are petitioning for a fiance(e) visa you have bigger problems than this
moving thread
That was obviously a joke...

Thank you all, needed to know that to make sure.

Your SSN will prove to them that this is you naynay, so you shouldnt erase it. Besides I assume you trust your fiance to not abuse it, right?

How soon can we set the interview date?

After receiving the package3 are there any other documents that my fiancée needs to send to the embassy, along with the checklist?
This is the list of the documents that we think we need to start gathering, but we don’t know which ones to send to the embassy. Or if we should keep all these documents for the interview takes place
We think that the documents we need to send right away as soon we receive Package 3 are:
The DS – 2001 FORM (CHECKLIST)
And the OF – 230 Part I and Part II, where can I get these forms? Should we replace them for the DS – 230 Part I and Part II instead?
Pictures: 2 x 2 inches
And keep these documents for the Interview:
- OF – 167
- Birth Certificate
- Medical exam
- DSL – 1083 // Police Certificates:
Certificado de Antecedentes Policiales – emitido por la Policía Nacional del Perú
Certificado de Antecedentes Penales – emitido por el Poder Judicial
Certificado de Antecedentes Judiciales a Nivel Nacional – emitido por la INPE
- Evidence of Support of Petitioner (Form I – 134) Where can I get the OF – 167 form from? Is it required to send it along with the Affidavit of Support form? Does the I – 134 needs to be notarized as the I – 864?
- I forgot about the Bank Statements!!
- 3 years of Income Tax Reports (needed according to Embassy)
- Divorce Decree
- DS – 156 and DS – 156K (unsigned)
What if one of the parts never got married? Is it required to look up for a Certificate of Freedom?
Do the civil beneficiary docs will be in Spanish need to be translated to English? Even though the Embassy is located where the official language is Spanish?
Also, is it true that the DS – 160 form is replacing the DS – 156 AND DS – 156K forms? So is the first one that we need to fill up instead?
Can we get an interview date before sending the checklist from package 3, I read on some cases where they had their interview date set before receiving package 3?
Everything seems pretty confusing from link to link. Is there anything else that we are missing? Anyone who had their interview at the US embassy in Peru? Please any advice helps.

My fiancee has two tourist visa denials in the past on her passport, one of which was 6 months ago. Will this affect our K-1 visa which we are preparing to file for in any way? Will this make the interview more difficult?

Good evening,
First and foremost, I would really appreciate any feedback that would help my situation.
My husband and I separated about a year ago - we got married in late 2010 - and I never applied for naturalization until, well about a year ago. (We are still married).
The day my husband and I separated, I was arrested for a DV misdemeanor, charges were dropped the very next day. It's been a year since the arrest and I have not had any updates on my case.
A month after, I was arrested again for a different charge, and later in 2018 convicted of a misdemeanor for Reckless Driving, no probation.
I recently received a letter from USCIS, I have an upcoming interview in a few weeks.
Seasoned members, knowledgeable readers. What's your input for my case?
Thank you for your time,
