i used the acco fastners...and used dividers to seperate the contents of the packet

in order to get your date ...have him fill out the DS230 part 1. send it to the embassy....in the meantime...fill out forms DS156, ds156k and ds157...2 copies of each ..hope it helps

i had 3 yrs of w2 with 1040's and the only took 2009, 2010. 6 months of statments, and 8 months of pay stubs. so you should be ok....just remember to make copies of everything and also bring the originals

The Certificate(s) of Non-Impediment to Marriage is Issued by the Registrar General’s Department on security paper. It is required to show that your fiance is not currently married or that if he/she was previously married they obtained a divorce and are therefore free to marry you.

I agree ....It is needed.it is one of the document that is requested ..look on the check list from the embassy packet 4, or the required document list in packet 3 ..

Hey Night Nurse.. i received your email and will give my best answer. ... So a marriage was found because the RDG was not updated with the divorce done in California, USA. Since the applicant is divorce it is necessary to bring a copy to the office (or RDG) and and see if they will be able to re-issue the document showing free to marry. If they are not able/wiling to update the records/reissue the document then he should take the divorce decree to the interview on July 27... I'm sure that it will go well.

this process is beating me senseless .....i have one question regarding the non impediment certificate and a previous marriage. My fiance was previously married and was divorced in 2006 . The marriage took place in jamaica ,but the divorced was done in california. We sent in a certified copy of the final divorce decree with the orignal petiton and I have five copies of the decree available to me on hand. He went to apply for the non ipediment certificate and on the non impediment it showed that there is a marriage found.

1)My question is when my fiance applies for the non impediment ,should he bring the decree with the the RGD so they can see that he is divorced ?

2)Do they informaation on the non impediment change when the person is divorce?if it does please tell me how can what are the exact things we need to do to get it changed?

3)Or does the certified copy of the final certified copy on the divorce enough proof to show that he is indeed single and free to marry?

I called the RGD , Ministry of justice of jamaica and they all gave me diffrent answers...i made a friend call in jamaica and the RGD told her that they dont need the divorce decree and all they issue to personal is either or not a marriage is found .The RGD told her that all i need is the non impediment letter(saying a marriage is found) and the divorce decree together and i should be fine...

Channah, Hope you are holding up ok. I can't believe another week is over and nothing. AND it's a three day weekend, so it will be extra tough.

I just want to let you know that you should be receiving a written response letter with a reason after you submit a service request. I just got a letter today, after submitting a service request on 5/12 for Outside Normal Processing Time (which you should be able to do as well). I got one a few months back too, when I put in a similar service request.

I am very sad because the letter I got today states "The status of your service request is: the processing of your case has been delayed. A check of our records established that your case is not yet ready for decision, as the required investigation into your background remains open.

Until the background investigation is complete, we cannot move forward on your case.....if you do not receive a decision within SIX MONTHS, please contact Customer Service."

SIX MONTHS???????? Are they KIDDING ME???????????????????

Anyway, I hope to GOD it will not take six months - I will NOT wait six months and will just have to pack up all my stuff and move to Mexico if that happens. This SUCKS. I wonder if you are in a similar situation - undergoing extensive background checks - some seem to take longer than others - maybe false hits on names and what not.....it is so ridiculous..how long can this take? Neither Fernando nor I have any sort of criminal history.......No clue WHY it is taking so long to verify that. SO SO sad right now - this ruins my holiday weekend!

Anyway, I hope they send you a reason SOON!!! It is not fair or professional to make you wait sixty more days with no response. Hang in there!

i got a letter like this this morning ,but it states that my case is still pending and need additional review , and that they cannot provide me with an estimated timeframe for completion of this process.i am livid...i feel so lost..

Awww, I am sorry to hear that and unfortunately I have to welcome you into our crappy club . And you are very true about the nasty attitudes of the tier2. They are very arrogant, prolly because they are tired of all the complaining applicants.. oh well . I don't think they are that nice either.

i too am waiting for my nao2..its almost 7 month ...i did a service request last week, my congress man did a request for expedite on may 10th and still im sittitn hear without a na02. im so fustrated and tired. i tired of hearing diffrent bs excuse from the tier 1 at the uscis and im tired of the nasty attitudes of the tier2 ...im am just praying for this nightmare to be over

i contacted two senators and one congress man ....one senator and the congressman placed a servive request last week tue ..I finally got to place a service request last night, but still no NAo2..nada ... nothing. i emailed the vcs and they sent me an email stating that they recieved the request from my congressman and they are working on it.. .. so ill just continue checkin my emails and the usics website like a mainiac everyday..,i cant wait for this nightmare to be over.

only a couple of days left till we reach 6 months of waiting...called uscis, wrote to our senator..still nothing. any other november fillers who are still waiting?

What is proof of engagement? I saw it on one of the DS forms? I have proof that we communicate but how does that prove the relationship. Also what is proof of financial support? I don't support my fiance, but that is also on a form as something to submit.
