    Welcome letter arrived 12/20; actual green card arrived 12/21. 14 days from entry. Not bad.

      Yes, Hoboken...many prayers already sent, we are thankful to be sure. Teya, Life in the us for us, is good, lots of adjustments, but we are doing well. Right now, patience is the world's greatest virtue :-)

    Chennai's Apollo Heart Center apparently had problems yesterday printing out the medical forms! And my wife is getting hers today. Here's hoping they won't a problem printing them out!

      Apparently not. She got her papers today, and is back in Bangalore (Teya, Bangalore is 210 miles West of Chennai, where she had to go). Got a mini-scare at first that she only got the x-ray, but apparently (checked with jinyandjony) you get everything (x-ray+DS-2053)in one sealed envelope to give to the consulate. Consulate takes form, and lets you keep x-ray.

    Good luck tomorrow. Like others said in reply to your post, only fee that you need to have paid in India is the VFS courier fee. You already paid everything else. Waiting to hear about your experience!

      Thanks Nazeem, Nah...there was something definitely different in Chennai for Oct. There are no interviews, as far as I know after Oct 24. Then people who got cc after I did got dates 2 weeks before me... soooo...who knows. I am just planning on being there with my wife...her interview is on Nov 30.

      What do you mean, mixed up? How do you know it was mixed, up, you get the passport with the visa stamp and a sealed envelope right?

      He got his visa and the sealed envelope, 6 days before leaving Fiji we get a call from the embassy asking us to come pick up my hubbys medical reports that they forgot to include in the sealed envelope, I advised them it was not possible as the embassy was a 6hr dr and if they can send express mail or COD and I will pay for the package delivery. She advised she's sending it express mail and not to open any of the envelopes as it is to be opened in LA. So its friday and we are supposed to ...

      Thanks Nazeem, however your post is not complete as there is a text limit here. You can send me a msg but I get the gist of it. I think perhaps the fijian embassy is an exception, I haven't seen these kinds of screwups in India.

    Can you please update yr time line in detail? Bunch of us are trying to get the bottom of why interviews are being given to folks who case complete was later, but got yr interview earlier. Yours is an example. People have had cc before you (for Chennai) and are still waiting. Thanks! (add case complete and packet 4, i.e. interview letter rcvd date. Am adding you as a friend, thanks.
