  1. You don't need to worry about not seeing your appt. as Canadiandggal explained. Choose a DHL location near you. When you are at the interview they will ask if you chose a DHL location and let them know where. You will receive your visa in your passport approximately 5 business days later. The sign-up is a bit confusing when you are given an interview date by NVC.

when you put all your information in it should bring you to a page that page of dhl locations and have a place to check one off.

If you cannot find it, call one of these numbers and tell them that you need to sign up for dhl but have been unable to pick a dhl location

Applicants can pay their visa application fee, arrange for courier service, get information, and make an appointment through this service.

Applicants can access this service by logging into this Web site or by calling our local numbers in Canada:

    Calgary - 403.800.1194

    Halifax - 902.982.2191

    Montreal - 514.400.2591

    Ottawa - 613.800.0917

    Toronto - 647.955.3736

    Vancouver - 604.800.2794

    Quebec City - 418.800.1751

  2. I want to add a quick note to this. Yes we are allowed to stay for 6 months however if you come to close to this time frame you may have problems later. I know of someone who has a US spouse who has been refused entry twice now due to having spent 6 months in the US the previous year. They have proven ties to Canada but have been turned away twice now. I wouldn't like to see anyone else go through this. Keep a good record of the amount of time you are there, they know how long you have been away from your passport info.

    All the best

  3. I agree with you that it is stalling :bonk::angry: I had an RFE for the birth certificate with EP as well. I sent the same thing back that I sent in the time before and it was accepted. So go figure. I would make sure that the document looks right after you scan it... Send it to your self and download it to make sure all of the certificate is present. I hope this is an error on their part.

    This comment is hilarious

I did mine by attorney so there is no mistake it was done right .....

  4. Don't panic, I had the same issue. When you call tomorrow ask if its okay to give them your passport to track it. That's what they did here in Vancouver. It didn't show being shipped either and the reference number ,like you said doesn't correspond to the Waybill number they DHL need. It took the 5 business days to get it so if the holiday isn't counted you "should" get it by Wednesday :)

  5. Hi,

Canadians and the US have had an amicable relationship so I think we thought ( we did ) it surely won't take too long. A lawyer told us 5-6months at the most. Well Cr1 journey for us took 14 months. There was a problem with an RFE for a passport photo that was lost somewhere. Also a hiccup in the EP processing. If we had any concrete plans we would have been up s$it creek so to speak.

I hope you plan carefully and hope that MONTREAL SPEEDS UP!!! June case completes are still waiting for an interview.

All the best to you and your future partner. This should be a stress free journey !!

  6. I'm wondering how long have others waited for permits for your pet parrots? I know this is an unusual question but hope someone else may have gone through this. After waiting forever for my visa I am now waiting for permits from Cites and the US fish and wildlife.

I'm hoping someone else has some info as to how much longer I may have to wait? One is an appendix1 parrot. Any info will be appreciated. :help:post-79747-0-88049300-1289867664_thumb.jpg
