Sounds like you passed, and will get the visa as soon as you send the paper in.
How far away are you from where you interviewed? Can you take your passport back there, or would you have to mail it? I would call the embassy and ask how they want you to send your passport in. Grats!
(more dances when you actually have the visa!)
Married2009 dear, Yeah they told me that put your passport in ups envelope with the bank statement and green paper. And yes I am 10 mins away from the embassy... I will dance when I get that headacher visa crazliy and nobody will understand what am I doing...
. I m tired.... Breathhhhh Breathhh thats all I need. Ty for your support cute...
-
It makes sense now and if he has that 15K then no worries! Congratulations!

It looks like yes you do need the I864 affidavit of support which I am sure was included. I know your husband needs to meet the 2010 poverty level at 125%...I cannot find 2010...but 2009 (this number goes up a little every year) for 2 people was 18K...so if he doesn't make this much yearly, then whatever amount he is short I know they make you have 2 times that amount in assets...I.E "money in the bank" or property, etc. So I am guessing his income is around 7K short of the 125% poverty level requirement for a family of 2 (unless he has other dependents, then the income requirement goes up).
I am so sorry that this has come up only now. Did your hubby prepare everything? I am hoping others come along soon to help out with advice more than I can.
Hang in there...
If he does then YES! No problem.
You will need to follow their directions on sending the proof via UPS...just a little delay sounds like.
Dear ErikaAndHamit, ty for your messages. My husband tax docs shows that his income was arround 14K. Cuz he was in Turkey and ofc did not work at that time.Thats why. Atleast something we know. Ty once again. My husband will send me the bank statement in this week. After hopefully I will be approved.
-
I'm so sorry, lady. It sounds like it's income requirements not met. Does he meet the income requirements without assets? Keep us posted ... saying some Ohms for you ...
Also, don't know about visa fees for Turkey ... we don't pay anything at the Consulate for CR1 here (unless it's DCF).
Thats ok we will send them that bank statement and letter that showing 15K on his acc. But the question is will I able to get my visa after this?
-
I think this is a matter of income requirements not being met, but it sounds like you are approved. You "passed." Problem being the income.....I am looking it up now. It is kind of strange that only now this is a problem...I am going to look it up now.
Ty so much ErikaAndhamit. I feel so lost...
And Im trying to find out whats that mean. But I am sure Its not that dark green paper for AP. Cuz my paper is light green. And they wrote down... "more funds needed $ 15k in bank"
-
If your hubby does have 15K in the bank I would have him send proof via fax ASAP! It doesn't mean you are denied. I do not understand the CR1...sounds like the income requirements.
I guess something like that. But I have never heard that somebody needed money in bank account. And I m thinking if I fail why supposed to say collect the missing docs and send us. We will send your visa.I did not get it.If I fail they can say easily am I right? So still Idk whats that mean. They kept my husband's 2009 federal tax docs and guessing my passport pics also. And I did not pay any money. Was not I supposed to pay 45 $ for CR1?
-
Btw And I raised hand signed ds230. Best regards,
-
Guys I dont know what to do or whats that mean. At the embassy they asked me how did you met , when did u met with your husband. And asked do u have any joint account with your husband. And I said no we did not stay that much with him.Cuz my husband left after 2 weeks. Finally she said everything looks good. But u need bank account that should be showing 15K usd on bank.I said supposed be deposit long time ago doesnt matter? She doesnt matter just need 15K to show. And gave me green paper says collect bank account with 15 k and your passport. She told me that get fax from your husband and send us by ups. And we will send your visa. But the point is they did not keep my passport.Other ppls who have green they were also holding thier passport with green paper. Whats that mean guys? I am so sad. And dont know what to do?
Thank you in advance.

Here is the detailed account of the interview.
I was not there so everything is second hand and is whatever my man can remember.
Hope it helps anyone wondering how the interviews go!
He arrived early. about 1 hour early. there was no one waiting outside the embassy so it was easy to enter.
At the door he received some checklists and they security checked his bag twice.
The embassy was not that busy that day. only about 7 people were there for immigration visas at that time. (early morning)
There was probably only 2 people doing the visa interviews.
When entering the main building a lady gave him a number, and he took a seat. After waiting about 30 minutes they finally called his number. He went to the counter and a Japanese lady just checked some documents and he gave her his medical results and the expack 500 (envelope for sending the visa in).
She then asked in Japanese,
"What is your wife's father's name?"
"Is she working?"
then the lady was talking to herself and said something about how i have worked at my job for about 10 years. (apparently she was not impressed by it. whatever!!
)
She then told him to go wait again. and he waited some more.
About 30 minutes later they called his number and he did the fingerprinting.
American girl was friendly and told him to go sit down again after it was done.
After about maybe 20 more minutes they finally called his number for the interview.
the interviewer is some american guy (LUCKY!!
). he took an oath and then he handed him some document to sign (ds-230??). then the interview began.
"When did you meet?"
"Does she study Japanese?"
"How many times did she come to Japan?"
"When did she leave Japan?"
"When did you get married?"
"Where did you get married?"
"How many times did she come back to Japan (after the marriage)?"
"Have you been to her house in the USA before?"
"How many times did you visit?"
"What do her parents think of you?"
"What kind of work do you do?"
"Will you do that in the USA?"
Congratulations! Your visa is approved. You will receive your visa in about 1 week.
he says the interview was more like a conversation. haha.
The guy didn't ask for ANYTHING!! no evidence at all. so lucky us! some other people had to show photos or other evidence. so our case must have been good! alright!!! But my man also wore a really nice suit and tie. so he looked more professional. i think that really helped!!!
Now we are done with this visa stuff for 2 years!! THANK YOU GOD!!!
THANK YOU VJ MEMBERS!!! without all you we would have been lost!!
Wow thank you for your review.Seems like it was easy to pass. Hopefully it will be that easy for us too.So please wish me luck!

Ty Raluca805, Yes got screenshot from facebook. And printed them out.
Also if anyone trying to find out how to print skype history.I found it out today. There is a program called by SkypeCallExporter. Well If my file is too big I have a B plan
I heard that Ankara Embassy doesnt keep your bag at the entry.Just checking and keep away cell phones. So I will put pictures in my bag

Best of luck to all the this week's interviews! Keep us posted!!!
Thank you! Hope all of us will be covered by pink

You can never have too much evidence. Sachi took a bunch, and they never asked to see any additional info. As several people have told me, it is better to over-prepared than under!! Good luck!!!
Thank you so much Married2009 you made me feel more comfortable.
-
Gratz! Happy for you.
-
Congratulations to everyone with good news!
MSP, I'm happy to see you're back with us, too.
Yes, Ma'am. Husby had a copy of every document we ever sent or received during this process. He actually forgot it at home and had to turn around to get them. Of course, they weren't used, but we both have the idea of "better safe than sorry."
