Adil & Jeanne got a reaction from q203 in SSN After Marriage K1
How does my fiancé(e) obtain a Green Card?

If your fiancé(e) entered on a K-1 Visa, the marriage must take place within ninety days of your fiancé(e)’s arrival in the U.S.
Once married, your spouse will be eligible to apply for Lawful Permanent Residence. File an I-485 (adjustment of status) application with Immigration. The adjudication of ‘marriage adjustment’ cases can vary from several months to several years depending on various factors.
Both you and your spouse will be required to attend an interview with Immigration. At the time of interview, you will need to show proof that the marriage is bona-fide (legitimate). Immigration will review documents, such as address displayed on driver’s licenses, joint bank accounts, tax returns and utility bills.
If you have been married less than two years at the time of interview and the application is approved the immigrant spouse will be issued a temporary/conditional two year green card. After two years, the immigrant is required to file an I-751 to lift the conditional status on the green card and must continue to prove the bona fides of the marriage.
If you are married more than two years at the time of interview a permanent green card is issued.

    to NVC?
    yes
or send in W2's to show income
BTW current income (not really for this year)
according to instructions current income must match last year's income
mine for this year is more and they kept saying i was wrong / had to go it over again /looked at instructions and it has to match last year's tax statement of income

When you handed in the missing documents, did you put the case number in the upper right hand corner of each and every page?
If not, get them a new set of the same documents because if you go into AP, the case has been returned to the US and with hundreds of thousand application, no one is going to know to put your documents with the proper case #. My friend has been in AP over a year as this happened to him. He sent for his gf's tax documents; they didn't come fast enough and all came back to the US. They are on hold,

first, I thank you all for support
second, I, am disturbed by illegals getting the breaks, including free legal advise. I know they only want to better their life but be fair to the ones of us paying these fees and going legally thru the system. Everyone talks of immigration reform but if you check out the List of Current Senate Committees, you will see there is not one for Immigration (Homeland Security controls it) but no one is working on immigration reform. After going thru all this I am willing to help anyone who needs help that is going legally thru this system. I don't know it all. I made some mistakes but I found out where to look online. My husband was so patient thru all this and never said, I Give up.

We had that woman for 1st interview / not to scare you but be very serious with her / no smiling
tell financee not to be afraid to say "WE ARE IN LOVE" most moroccans do not say to others in public but US expects this
Casa is hard but you can make it
KNow everything possible able the life style of the financee including stupid questions
they asked him what books i read
what did i eat for breakfast that morning / 5 hours before i was out of bed in my time zone
adil's final interview was last year and he has now been here a year
HINT: if they do not keep the passport and do biometrics you will go into AP and packet sent back to US and allowed to die / no K1 visa is reevauated in US after Casa returns it / so get over there ASAP and marry

ok been there and went thru all of this
did you provide a police report from Dubai?
and did he have one from Dubai?
    Did they keep his passport?
Your age difference is not as big as ours but Casa will make you fight for everything
and how did the other get into Embassy / i went up after our CR 1 was denied and even as born-in-America USC i was not allowed in (2011) and they said the case was already sent back to US (right after interview? definitely a lie to me
Morocco citizen can not return to embassy / he would not get past the outside guard if he does not have a letter to allow him even to the window
So, what do you do now?
if case is returned to the US, go there and marry give yourself at least 3 weeks to do the work for a marrigae and if you need the 2 page instrucions for doing this, i can send it to your email / just message me privately
    incha allah
hope all is ok and you get this K 1 with no further delays

airfare is cheaper as my German neighbors discovered
their little boy came last day of the year and she and baby were still in hospital at beginning of the year ($3000 deductible appled for both years)
second baby she flew home for delivery
    they returned to Germany now
fly home and have the baby if you are covered under UK insurance
baby is still US citizen as his father is USC

you are married and he can put u on tax returns / with computer filing no one actually signs the form / you gave him your SS number which BTW he could have gotten anyway / I got them for stepchildren for my late husband . but he needs to include your income if he doesn't, he has problems with IRS /more than likely he doesn't have to pay taxes on disablitity but should be paying taxes on your income
I don't understand some things / you say you and your parents were supporting him so quit sending money and support yourself / so, use your income to hire the lawyer
and where are you living now? In US there is help for displaced homemakers / call department of social services (not sure what it is called where you are) and ask what is available for you.

Many embassies tell all to be there at 8 AM no matter when the interview is set up for
They allow people in at one time not all day at different times
Even when i went for my ELIGIBILITY TO MARRY document and thought as US citizen i could do this at any time, i had to return the next day at 8 AM
some are questioned for over an hour
    so, you were lucky
Smiling? NOT in Morocco. you smile, you will be told YOU LIE

Think this is high what till you get to US
    now, let me vent
applicant pays for application, processing fee for affadivit, visa application and cost of visa if granted, plus trips to meet you
i had to apply 3 times and took 6 years and USCIS said i came back right after marriage so i had to go back for honeymoon even thought the marriage trip was 2 months
5 trips, (one lossy lawyer for 2nd application) and all the fees 3 times plus his flight to come to US
    try just over $35000
    thanks for letting me vent
BTW all this i can show

Since medical care is so expensive here, i asked my husband to be for a medical exam before i promised to marry as TB is very widespread in Morocco
not strange to ask but may be a personal female issue and embarrassing in that culture
tell her a medical is required and you need to make sure she can pass and in the US women keep nothing back / and you feel it is important for her to accept our culture as you will have to know and accept hers
    compromise
    hope this helps

i think our age gap is probably one of the biggest and he is from high fraud country also
you will need to do much more than normal applicaiton to prove the relationship
we went thru 3 (K1 and 2 CR 1 interviews)
Eventually after 6 years we finally got the visa
What i had to do was what most do for the AOS
i had to do quick claim deed adding his name to deed of house
i had to apply for ITIN when filing my tax returns and then add him to bank account
i added him to life insurance, will, 1 utility billl
So, in 2015 at last interview, he had been on tax returns since 2010
this will be a struggle for you and i wish you best of luck but remember
Do not take the frustration of immigration out on each other
    Do not quit
    Stay faithful to each other
And prepare yourself by good face time ( i made 5 visits of 2 of 1 month, 2 months, 2 three months), photos of not only you and spouse but with family in Ghana
lawyer is not much of a help (had 1 for 1st CR1 and he was worthless)
If denied, appeal is waste of time and money, just reapply
all this is only my opinion but been there / done that

Bottom line is they denied and now, you have called it to the attention of the embassy that you do not have the financial means to support the husband and new baby
if getting pregnant and asking for a case to be expediated because of it, all would do it
not to be unsupportive but it was not a good idea to say financial hardship to Casa / just the truth
and it is not expensive to have a baby there / i was there when my neice delivered and the family though poor was able to pay the bill before she left the hospital
/not that i think the care is good as no pain blocks / no stictches/ they use hot charcoal to mend the wounds when at home

these answers assume your packet has gone to USCIS then to NVC and now to embassy for interview
message me at my ID and i will try to answer you further
as all you recd from embassy is a form letter / not personal message about your case

you will love the weather in the south / utllities are 1/3 the cost here over the north
education is great at the college level anywhere in the US but expensive
Tennessee and Florida are the states that have no state income taxes to pay
