the violence against 'women' act is a sexist law. There's no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Any law the singles out a certain 'group' is discriminatory in nature.

Do I? Do you have any idea what it's like out in the real world? In the US a man can go to jail on a DV for telling his wife to ** off. All she has to do is pick up the phone, dial 911 and tell them any bs she feels like telling them. Then comes the jail time, the DV classes and the probation. Most countries laugh at this bs. Women here have all the laws bent their way and it's gotten epidemic as far as putting men in jail over a "she said this and he did this". Look I usually take right wing stands on here but even I know when to draw the line. If you think women in the US don't have the laws behind them then you are sadly mistaken. A lesbian couple might take care of the child and might be allowed to do so by societal laws, but the child is hardly the product of two females.
