hi everyone ,,, wow this thread so interested ,, in fact after i read all the posting i got lots of fears ... i'm k3 and we got approve for both I-130 and I-129 but we went into I-129 which means K3 i done my interview in the embassy in Cairo OCT ,22,,2009 since that i'm waiting to hear from the embassy to send me my passport with the visa God willing , so now is there a way to change the type of the visa after i go there or its too late to do it , i mean how i can make things faster is there a way for doing this or i just have to deal with all the rest of process with K3 once i be there ,, i need your advice guys and what the best way to do once i got my visa ,, thanks so much , have a blessed day all .

hello everyone

finally my wife got her visa today,yesterday she had her interview everything was fine ,very simple question.

the interview was with a American lady, she speaks Arabic.

1- when your husband come to America?

2- where and when you meet your husband?

3- where he works?

4- where he lives, my wife she give her the exact address?

4- she asked for just the pictures? no emails no cds no money gram receipt, and also she didn't ask for I-134.

the lady took here passport and said congratulation come back tomorow for your visa.

by the way, that interview was for a k3 visa.

Hello everyone in Administrative Processing/ Review:

My Husband had his interview date September 2,2009. They requested more information and rescheduled an appt. on Sept 15,2009.

After the interview the American woman said he would get his vise in a couple of weeks.

Well I we waited like 2 months. I started getting nervous and called Washington DC to see what was going on. All they could tell me was that the case was in Administrative processing and that they would contact me when it was finished. They will not tell you why it is in AP or anything. After a couple of more weeks

I decided to call my congressman's office and asked for the person handling immigration issues.

The woman asked me to fill out an information release form with supporting documents and fax it to her.

Within a week she called me and told me that my husband was issued a visa and that it will be sent to him shortly..

So I would suggest to anyone in AP to call their congressman's Aide.... maybe they can help you instead of waiting and wondering what is going on. Maybe I was just lucky...(not really I waited 3 months) but I think it helped.

Hopefully my husband will be here soon.......just waiting for his passport back now.

thanks so much for posting this on here it really helps a lot ,, wish your husband get his passport soon then go to be with you ,, i will tell my wife about that ,, i done my interview in OCT 22,09 then they told me i'm under AP then on DEC 6 they sent me an e mail telling me that the case is pending consular officer's review but the dos still saying its under AP so we waiting to see whats going on ,, best of luck to you .

Thanks Marcy for posting your story on here. I am hoping that my husband will get his interview soon, since we are now waiting for case complete in NVC. I am hoping to beable to go over there for his interview, depending on when he gets it. I will keep what you said in mind, specially since Cairo is known for putting people in AP/AR!

Maybe something hopeful for you to hear but we got that email from the embassy after my husband had his visa in hand!

They sent you a final review email after the visa had been sent already? Well that gives me hope that maybe we only have a few weeks to go. You never know with the Cairo Embassy.

so when you get that (The case is pending the officer’s final review) mail , does it mean that the case got out of AP ??

i got the same e mail and when i asked lots on here says yes that means the case is out of AP but i have to add something ... still when we call the DOS it says its under AP so when i asked about that some on Vj they told me the DOS will keep saying that until the embassy issue the visa so i really kinda confused but i guess thats right once we got this e mail which says (the case is pending officer's final review) it does mean its out of AP ,, someone correct me if i'm wrong , best of luck to all of you .

"Dear Madam:

Thank you for your e-mail message.

The case is pending the officer's final review. We will process the case to conclusion once that is completed.

Regards,

Consular staff"

I know that there have been several people that have received this type of email. I was wondering how long after receiving this "final review" email did you receive the visa? And if you havent received the visa yet when was the last time you might have received an email like this? I really appreciate any information you guys could share with me. I am really debating over whether I should go visit my husband or wait it out. Thanks in advance to any replies on this topic.

When they say the case is pending CO final review it means the CO in charge of your case is reviewing your case now to make sure that everything is ok and in order before they issue the visa . which means its the last step before they issue the visa .

Inshaallah it wont be so long till he get the visa in hand .

Keep an eye on DHL .

hi Nancy,,, as you know i got the same e mail from the embassy when i asked the same question as you lots of people told me it can take one to three weeks mostly to get the visa but some told me it took with them like two months after this e mail some few took longer than that so really not time frame with this but lets take it as 70% of people who said it take from one to three weeks after the officer's final review ,, wish with all my heart they send the visa by next week ,, we should worry if (god forbid) took more than three weeks ,, best of luck to all of us , have a good one.

i forget to tell you to keep checking the DHL web site to know if it moving from the embassy or still there ,, best of luck to you isa.

hi Nancy,,, as you know i got the same e mail from the embassy when i asked the same question as you lots of people told me it can take one to three weeks mostly to get the visa but some told me it took with them like two months after this e mail some few took longer than that so really not time frame with this but lets take it as 70% of people who said it take from one to three weeks after the officer's final review ,, wish with all my heart they send the visa by next week ,, we should worry if (god forbid) took more than three weeks ,, best of luck to all of us , have a good one.

Good morning everyone

I called the USA embassy again today .and i was kinda mean to them but it does not work still .

I called the embassy and the woman there was friendly and nice to me .

She asked for my case number and for my name .she asked me when was i at the embassy last time .and then she says well the case is pending !

I was like listen i want to know whats going on ? it has been almost 9 months and i hear nothing from you but pending AP .and I'm really sick of that .and in fact me and my fiancee can not handle that anymore .

She asked me if i know the CO name '' the one who interviewed me '' I said i don't remember her name and they were 2 a man and a woman .

she says well it says its pending in the system .i was like thats a joke .she was like huh what did you say ? i said its a joke .it has been almost 9 months and you don't have anything to say to me but AP or pending so its a joke .

I told her that we called DOS and they told us that the case is pending in Egypt and they don't work on it in USA so its pending in Egypt and the DOS is waiting for Egypt to issue the visa .and its not name check or background check ....

And i told her that i called the embassy last week and a guy there told me its still CO in charge of my case office and even the embassy is waiting for that CO and its a part of the AP .

I told her well its not fair or right to put our lives on hold like that .and that CO has no rights to put our lives on hold like that .

I told her listen and you can pass that to the CO if you want .can't the CO say to us yeah we will give you the visa or no we are not going to give you the damn visa !

Its so easy that way .black or white . cause me and my fiancee can't be under that CO mercy forever or for so long cause again we are sick of that game .

I told her can't that CO say you are denied and we can not give you the visa instead of waiting for nothing !!!!

I think somehow i shocked that woman cause she did not respect that i will talk to her like that .she says well Mr Mohamed call me back after 30 min and i'm going to call the immigrant unite here at the embassy to find out whats going on with your case ? and why is it taking long time like that ?

40 minutes later i called the embassy again .and i asked them to talk to that woman .

She says well Mr Mohamed i called the immigrant unite and the case is pending AP .

I was like i don't want hear that word again so please tell e whats going on ?

I asked her does that mean it will be pending like that till they send it back to USA and kiss us goodbye ?!! can it be pending cause the CO wants to put us on hold like that ?

She says no . they are working on it .but i can't tell you the details .i asked her well so they are working on it and its not pending for no reason .she says no its not and they are working on it .

I asked her how long its going to take ? and i got the same damn answer no one know how long its going to take !!!

There is nothing more we can do .My fiancee contacted her congressman and her senator long time ago and they told her the same .the case is pending AP .

We really don't know what to do ?

Any thought about what the heck is going on ?!!

well Mohamed brother i know well how you feel and how stressful its ,, i didnt wait till now that long as you but even like that i'm mad my self for hiding everything like that from us and says the same thing like its a top secret , i always say its our life and our case so we have the right for knowing whats going on but sadly thats the way they treat us ,, they dont care to put our life on hold they dont care to doing their job right and talk to us to let us know ,, any ways brother i'm thinking about your case to know any thoughts for whats going on but really cant find on my mind anything to tell about that but all i can say lets hope and pray that you get it so so soon who know ,, may Allah answer our prayers ,, just be sure that everything on God hand will come on the right time , calm down brother everything will be good , sure they cant keep puting your case for more long than that so nearly it will be done ,,have a nice day brother .

Good morning Maureen ,Tamara and Aya and everyone ,, today is Suzie's daughter birthday her name is Allyssa i hoped to be there to celebrate it with them but i share from here , she gonna be 10 years old ,, suzie isnt so happy about the e mail i got from the embassy yesterday when they said now the case is pending consular officer's review she just worried cause at the first e mail we got from them they said the same thing then they said its on AP then they asked for my passport now they said again the same first thing so really we both confusing and wonder if they just mess or what ,, lots on here told me that means you out of AP and its a good sign so i hope for the best ,, Aya best of luck on your interview i keep you on my prayers ,, have a greaqt monday all MENA people .

I had my Sunday morning time with Omar and it was wonderful to see him, as always. We got a lot done and enjoyed each other's company too. Nice day.

It's cold here. There's going to be rain the next two days, which is great! The lemon tree in my yard really needs it. I'm off to run some errands including getting some Christmas decorations. A couple years back I moved out of state and sold everything and didn't realize how long it had taken me to put everything together initially. But I really feel like decorating this year.

I agree with Hot Guy, mounir. i think you'll be getting your visa soon. when we were in consular officer final review it took about a week, but I have heard of at least one person who was on final review for about two months. either way, it should be soon.

Yup it means you are outta AP .the CO final review is the last step before they issue the visa .

The CO in charge of your case is reviewing your case now to make sure that everything is ok and in order before they issue the visa .

hello everyone , first i want to say something i really feel on here like everyone is part of my family so i want to thanks you all ,, all of you is just great and wonderful , since i came to VJ and to MENA i just found a great people always trying to help give you hope and make your day thanks so much all ,, its now 1:24pm in Cairo so i would love to say Good morning for all and best luck for whom is waiting , wish with all my heart every couple be together forever soon and for the couples who together already wish to them all the happiness and greetings ,, i want to share with you this ... just before awhile i called again the embassy then i asked the guy please just tell me is my passport there or not then he said for checking the system isnt show really but no worries since you left it here so its here cant be lost for any reason then i said to him but i just want someone telling me clearly yes its here or no its not here then he said dont worry its here if you sure you left it here so i asked him well what about if i send a letter to the embassy by the DHL to be sure its there ,, he said well no need for cost your self money dont worry so guys i will take this as a yes cause i'm sure that my passport there , other wise i asked him is that means i'm finally out of AP he said yes they now working to print out your visa and soon it will come to you so i hope his telling me the truth and the right thing, just love to share with you whats going on ,, have a great Sunday all MENA .
