send photocopies and keep the originals, they will ask for the original copies during your interview. remember always keep with you original copies of your documents. it's hard to reproduce or get original copies if something happen to them on the mail.

If you have your green card your EAD is no longer useable. You cannot get another EAD card because you have a green card. Your green card is the card you want to pay VERY VERY close attention to and make sure it does not expire. EAD is worthless when you have a green card.

please anyone to give me some info about what to do for my EAD.it was granted to me last 09/10/09 now i just noticed 2 days ago (09/20/09,monday as i went thru some id's)that it was expired 09/09/10. i am using my state id in all my transactions so i didn't have the chance to check my ead card. the PRC card that was sent to me will expire on 10/22/11.

my primary question is, do i have to file for EAD renewal? if i do, am i be penalized for late renewal application?

secondary inquiry, as i have said the expiry in my PRC card is 10/22/11, when am i going to start filing for 10 year GC?

i am feeling desperate whether or not just let them file for a student visa themselves since they already aged out or file for their petiton. i know the best option for them is to work for themselves their filing as student which is costly. as i have known from the web discussions, it will take 12 years for them to wait if i file for them as an LPR.

my question is, for the meantime can they come visit me as tourist? before we decide to whether for me to file the petition for them or them file student visa themselves to come? ? ?

Student visa requires non immigrant intent. Obviously is also costly option. and is temporary by nature, byut may lead to a job with a company willing to sponsor a work visa or a USC fiancee.

I might wait until after the Student Visa application before petitioning her.

that's one of my option too. i hope that there would'nt be any heavy requirement for the student visa. i still have to research more about the application. so it's not advisable for me to petition for her at the same time she's going to apply for a student visa?

She can apply for a Student visa

It would take about 12 years for you to petition for her, assuming she is over 21 and not married.

i would like to know which process could you suggest. i have a daughter who just finished her bachelor course in pharm and it takes for her another months for the review and to get her license, then another year for field especialization. can she apply for a student visa for additional or extension of education here in the states, i mean, get all those additional studies she needed to finish it here in the US? or i will file for her I-130 to follow. how long does it take for the I-130 process?

i would appreciate much if anybody can give me an opinion or the twister in my brain, whether or not is it possible for me to file petition for my kids to follow me here in the US. when my USC husband filed for me he did included or of course my kids' names are on the forms. But we doubted and are sure they can't be granted follow to join benefit with me since they aged out. Now, this June/July will be the start of the 90 days prior to the expiry of my CPR. My question is. . . can I file for my kids at the same time of my husband and me filing for the lifting of my CPR?

Exactly...they will give you a card without the statement on it. It will look like a normal SS card.

i already got my permanent resident card, but have to apply lifting of condition 90 days before the expiry.

my question is, do i have to go to the SSA office, to change my SS Card to a non restricted ( i mean w/o the DHS authorization)? or just have to wait after my conditions are lifted?

keep all the original copies with you. only send photocopies of any original documents. what will happen next, when you are called for an interview, they will compare the copies you send with the original that's in your hands. i would like to share an experience during our interview.

BTW, the night before, i labeled all the documents like, one group, our BCs, MC, his divorce and my former husband's DC. one group is the tax returns, then some bond paper w/ 3-4 picture in it (that was copied directly from the printer, so when they ask for it to keep) now, label them on top so when the IO ask for it everything's there. i laid it all to the table infront of us. the thing she right away noticed saying "you're so organized, i think you are my couple of the day". and statrted to talk about the couple before us, she feel so sorry for them, they were on time but their lawyer wasn't there and all their ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS was entrusted to their lawyer. what's the deal we don't know. . .

when we arrived home, i checked my online status it says CARD ORDERED.

i hope something was learned from my drama LOL! this is not enough as a payback on what VJ has done to all my journey.

Ok folks, i received my conditional GC. So i was thinking that i'ts time for my passport for the stamp. LOL! Guess what???? there's no stamp made and done. the IO said that's it. my card is my twin untill 90 days before the expiration.

well, we only travel for 2 hours to and from home with the guess or hope that i'm right. but NOT. just wanna share this to all the NEWBEES like me. . . nothing bad about it right? at least, we are still on the track.

My husband and I are working on the same job, stage rigging right after i got my EAD. in my w-4 i always checked the married since it's true we are. He said to me it's okey for me to check the single box. and besides i noticed that his deduction was higher than mine. I feel sorry about it, and it looks like I am paid more than him. in some of the jobs we have now I checked the single box. well i was told that, we can have joint or separate filing. it's up to us. any idea if this won't affect my PR status? please, any opinion is highly appreciated.

Finally, PR card received in the mail. Me and my hubby decided to cancel the trip today to Philly since i didn't get the infopass for thursday. not knowing that my PR Card Subhanallah walhamdulillah! was already in the mail. Mails in our community arrives late in the morning till noon so. . .

I requested the infopass for friday and Alhamdulillah got a slot. Inshallah (Godwilling) will have my P/P stamped with I-551.

i would like to know if anybody had tried to go to the CIS local office without the infopass. I can't get an INFO PASS for tomorrow Thursday (11/05/2009) it says time slot unavailable. I have my NOA saying that my PR Card is being ordered and just have to wait on the mail. Since we have a business trip to Philly I would like to take the chance to bring my passport for I-155 stamp to save the trip.

i hope an angel out there (VJ ANGEL) could answer my dilemna .

my 2 kids 22 and 21 were included in the I-130 petition for me. my interview was approved and still waiting for the card on the mail. but i already received all the NOa's about the AOS and I-130. but unluckily, during the interview, the IO asked that my kids were included in the petition? we said yes but they were all aging out. we didn't tried to ask about it, to avoid intimidation on her part.

now, my question is what is the best thing to do to make them follow me here to finish their studies here. my USC husband is willing to support them. can they apply for a student visa? how? my other kid will finish her BS Pharm this march of 2010, and will need another year for especialization of the course. I would like them to finish the the course here.

please. . . . any opinion or suggestion? i would gladly appreciate any ideas.

I don't think visa fees are tax deductable.

Legal expenses that are paid in order to keep your job are deductible as employee business expenses. Legal expenses that are of a personal nature are not deductible.

are we suppose to declare the CIS processing fees we made when we file for tax declaration?

i recieveved the NOA and approval for my "card ordered" after the AOS interview and it's on it's way on the mail.

my question is. . . can we make use of the infopass for the I-551 stamp on my passport going to the local office in Philly, before my Card arrives?

we will be there this week for a business trip and in order to save time i was thinking of trying to make use of the time thru infopass, if it is possible.
