container gardens should be the next big thing!!!!!! I am incredulous to see most of what I buy is on the "dirty dozen" list. I buy organic most of the times but not ALWAYS. And, it's expensive!

Got NOA2 (I guess that's what it is??) in the mail yesterday stating the approval of the new GC. It said the decision had been made on 10/11. I got another text this morning, so I checked the status and they mailed the card today! Should be here any day now. Hopefully the picture is decent since I'll be stuck with it for 10 years!
Congrats to those who have been approved and good luck to those still waiting. Let's go CSC! And VSC too!

My card was approved! Got a text a minute ago and checked USCIS website! On October 12, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.
    YAY!
Can someone please update my status, I am sneaking on VJ from work

Adults that have children from prior relationships should always document their intentions in regards to assets prior to marriage. It isn't a sign of doubt or lack of love. It is just a wise thing to do. You can write it in a way that the terms change ( or vanish) as the marriage ages . My sister did this with her rather well off husband with adult children. For the first 10 years of marriage she would have only gotten 2 properties and a specified amount of money a month. Then it changed to about twice that, now she only leave the business assets to the prior children.

OMG are you kidding me? No matter if I can't even walk, I am jumping on a plavne back to Italy if I get seriously sick and so will my husband! My mother in law has cancer and when she was diagnosed they told her they could fix one of her fractures caused by the cancer but not the other because her insurance would not cover...I mean, a person just gets a potentially life threatening diagnosis and you go tell her that? How do they sleep at night, I don't know. Italy may be burdened by taxes but they take care of their people. They don't treat them like a business to make money out of.

If you will be married at the end of it then you are no longer a fiance and no longer qualify for the visa, simple as that.

I don't know how this is relevant, anyways...
Recent events have proved some sort of failure in the system, but it looks like your concerns are pretty legitimate here, so as others advised you should contact the local FBI and they will know (hopefully!) what to make of your story and if they need to proceed with some kind of in-depth investigation.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Vivi6 reacted to JimVaPhuong in Denied H1 visa twice - now I'm flagged
Canadians don't need an actual visa in their passport for many types of non-immigrant visas. They can just bring their completed documents to the border entry post, and have it adjudicated on the spot. Exceptions that require a consulate issued visa are E, K, V, A, and G visa applicants.
    http://www.consular.canada.usembassy.gov/exceptions.asp
This may be true if you're trying to resolve the issue at the same border post, but you can also address it directly with CBP through the link I cited in my previous post. The DHS TRIP (Traveler Redress Inquiry Program) program was designed specifically for this purpose. If the officer that flagged you was the only option, then you'd be screwed if that officer quit or was reassigned.

Wait, did you receive the letter about the possible abandon of the case at your Texas address? If so, why doesn't he try to walk in at a local Texas office for bio? Maybe some more expert member should correct me if I'm wrong...can you do biometrics in another state if you have the notice?
This is only if they actually mailed the notice to appear in Cali to your Texas address though-which would be very ironic...damn USCIS...
Where in Cali did you leave? I'm in San Diego in case your husband needs a place to stay, lol!
Hang in there! keep us posted!
There you go, Vanessa beat me. I say try the walk in today! Worst case is they say no.

Oh by the way it is possible, a friend of mine was scheduled to do bio here in San Diego at the Chula Vista office, on the border with Mexico...he tried a walk in and was sent away, so he tried my local office instead today, which is North SD County, and got everything done. This was same State and same city though, wondering if it works in different States...

    Mine too =) High five!
Can you legally work with the EAD approval notice or must we wait another 30 effing days for the card to arrive in the mail before job searching?
This is especially touchy because my husband actually had a job offer dependent on the EAD, but I guess that's not really on the table anymore. I guess I don't really give a flying fox about the approval notice if it doesn't mean anything.
Anyway, forgive my snarky attitude but the "novelty" of immigration wore off a long freakin' time ago!

Ok I meant to post it after the quote but it's not working!
Anyways, word to Vanessa! I wish I had known about the CR-1 too, now I am wondering if it's available for all countries? Anyways, off topic. I agree with Vanessa and I think since he overstayed 40 days or so and you had the volcano issue I don't see a problem in applying for either k1, k3 or CR-1. Has he overstayed before or been denied a visa? The AOS from VWP is too risky in my opinion and it could complicate things MUCH more in case of a ban...a few months apart will be hard, true, but what about 10 years?

I did read the article and yes USCIS should have sent an RFE but the point is the people violated immigration law by him coming to the US on the VWP with the intent to immigrate. That is fraud plain and simple. And what does him being a white Christian have to do with anything?

I understand and that's a great fee for medical, what I am saying is that I should not be paying a dime for USCIS' inefficiency after I already gave them $1010 and after a full, passed medical exam in Italy that costed me 200 euros. Hopefully since I filed 2 weeks after I got here my medical hasn't gotten lost yet...
