    Hi I do agree that this answer is quite very specific and good. But, please don't say that this is the only answer that makes sense. If you only try to understand my answer or suggestion to you, it also makes sense I guess and of course the other poster who gave similar answer too. Next time,please learn to appreciate and realize that not all of us here have same thoughts. I am not an expert and just learning it also here and through research online.     its fine,IF he entered US within the 6 months,and IF you got married within the 3 months limit,and want to apply for the AOS AFTER the visa has expired,it counts as over stay which will be forgiven because he married a US citizen.there are people who go up to a year or two without adjusting status
