    You have inspired me...

Best wishes to all of you. I kind of wish VSC would actually send those of you who've waited 6+ months a t-shirt.

Well, im a December filer and i dont think its right to be pissed off by us. I have never read anyone offending another person here just by their complaint.. So we complain --- we are only humans, some of us are more patient, some of us arent. If you cant read people complaining, then dont open those posts. Its normal, and for someone who is already in this process you should know how much this process can affect both the mental and the emotional state of everyone here. People here try to find comfort and understanding, so lets give that one to another?!?
Should i be pissed off at January and February filers who are being inpatient and want their second noa next Monday? No, actually quite opposite, i wish them all the luck. And i say that with my heart and mind open. Just because i may get stuck in this process, wont make me be angry with others who may be luckier then us.
Good luck people, to all of us .... september, or october or november or december or january, february, march..... and those yet to come.

OP, hang in there, looking like your wait is almost over. Once approved, you guys will be bombarded by a whole new set of issues and tasks that will make the wait seem smaller than it is now --- as it has for so many others who have gone through the process.
I find it amazing that some feel it is their place to accuse another for their feelings…
And those who have forgotten how it felt during their time spent in the waiting game…
Or those who have blessed themselves as experts on what exactly occurs behind the walls of USCIS…
And those who spend their time lambasting another for their opinions when they themselves are clueless…
Or those who just want to feel like somebody by belittling another who has expressed their frustration.
There are some really helpful folks in this community who have some great advice and meaningful opinions… and then there are others who think they are immigration pros behind a keyboard dishing out narrow minded, misguided opinions and thinking everyone should think like them… after all, they filed and eventually got approved.

As we all know the Vermont Service Center as it stands today is:
30 days slower than the California Service Center "CSC"
71 days slower than the Texas Service Center "TSC"
For me, it is most frustrating since I am in Texas.
Had my case not been transfered to Vermont, I would have NOA2 by now.
Everyone has their story, and for that matter their own perspective. So, please allow me to address those who are satisfied with the system as it stands now; If you don't believe in our movement, please just disregard our topic, and please do not divert our energy by engaging any of our posters by submiting contrary opinions, philosophies or beliefs. If you disagree with our topic, please just move-on. To all of those part of the movement, just disregard any posters that try to engage you negatively.
    We must stay focussed.
    So that said...
Please allow this to serve as the official kick-off to the "K1Vermonters" movement.
To all those who's k1/k3 is in queue to be adjudicated at the Vermont Service Center:
    1. If you wait to take action until you've hit the 6 month mark you might be in for a nasty surprise. If USCIS extends what is known as "Outside of Normal Processing Time" (ONPT) from 5 months to 6 months, you might have to wait 7 months before you can submit an "expeditious processing request". USCIS will allow a petitioner to submit an expeditious processing request once their application exceeds 30 days ONPT. But if that threshold is pushed out from 5 months to 6, we will ALL be in a worse position -- WE MUST ACT NOW
    2. If you think there's nothing that you can do, that we/you can't make a difference; I promise that's not true -- TODAY ALONE WE MADE A HUGE NOISE on Twitter -- WE MUST ACT NOW
    3. Just blogging on VJ (here) might be comforting and provide an outlet for frustration, but in the end it has no effect on USCIS processing times. You can continue to enjoy and chronicle/document your timeline, but I encourage you to put at least some energy into our movement, you never know where your case will be down the road -- WE MUST ACT NOW
    4. Even if you are not in the VSC, if your service center starts to backlog and there's no repercusion for the administrative staff, you might find yourself where we K1Vermonters are.. DELAYED -- WE MUST ACT NOW
    5. No matter what your situation is, I encourage you to join our movement, to change processing times for current k1 petitioners and future petitioners. -- WE MUST ACT NOW
How and Why must we "ACT NOW"?
    Why..
    - As the "K1Vermonters" our movement has momentum - we were in the top groups today alone "tweeting" @BarackObama
    How..
-Get on Twitter and create a profile
    - Write messages to:
    @USCIS
    @BarackObama
Members of the Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security, and International Law Membership:
    @eltongallegly24 @dan_lungren @JudgeTedPoe @zoe4congress @RepHowardBerman @RepJacksonLee @MaxineWaters
    - Always keep your messages under 40 characters
    - MOST IMPORTANTLY: **ALWAYS INCLUDE "#K1Vermonters" in your Tweet. The latter is the list name that currently has momentum and to which we need to continue to add momentum
    - Tweet at least 5 times per day ..think of it as a picket line, a strike. Remember the old days? This is how we do it now.
    - Answer other posts/posters on VJ by redirecting them to our movement/topic
If anybody has something to add, please contribute.
May God help us all get our loved ones to our dear country!

Ok, I'm sick and tired of being nice to you, especially since you continue to spread false information.
    SHUT UP!
Contacting your Congress officials DOES NOT DELAY YOUR CASE PERIOD. Senators and Congressman don't even have a clue about your case as STAFFERS trained in dealing with Federal Agencies handle it, as it is THEIR JOB.
I contacted my Congress officials right after I hit 5 months, who are there to represent ME the US Citizen. Do I regret it? No. I waited my 5 months, you waited 3 months and 10 days. Get off your high horse.

It is rather sad that it's always the people from this very country that talk $hit about it., not only that is is repetitive in every thread that they felt there was an chance for the cheap jab. If you get scammed/ripped-off over there, that just means you're incompetent enough to get scammed/ripped-off anywhere. Generalization is the first tell-tale of the uneducated.

This process is so ridiculous because of people like you who "buy" a bride. They go to the US for the sole purpose of getting a green card while the rest of us are trying to get there to be with our loved ones.
Nobody told you you have to know the person for two years. In fact, numerous people (in this thread and your original one) have attempted to hammer home the fact that you have to have met in PERSON in two years. If you cannot understand the difference, perhaps this process is not for you.

I'm not going to lecture you on the morality of marrying a trophy wife who wants you solely for your money and your blue passport, nor am I going to lecture you on the likelihood of such a marriage lasting beyond the two years she has to stay with you to get an unconditional green card. Since you did not ask about either of those areas, I will not offer any unsolicited advice.
You did ask for the legal requirements, so here goes: You need to have met once in the past two years in person, both of you need to be unmarried, you need to be free of certain enumerated crimes like domestic violence, certain sex offenses, and three or more DUIs or drug offenses. She needs to be free of any crimes of moral turpitude and free of certain dangerous transmittable diseases. This is a vast oversimplification, as the requirements with all of the details will fill up several pages, but it is the best way I can summarize it in one paragraph.
As for relatively fast, faster than what? A drunk turtle with arthritis and a club foot? A dead tree sloth? The evolution of monkey into man? Bad news for you if you are expecting fast: This process is ridiculously slow, taking anywhere from 8 months to 1 1/2 years and sometimes more. And most of the time is beyond your control and beyond your ability to monitor it until it actually happens. Most of us have been waiting for months, and those who got past the first step typically waited 5 to 7 months for that one step alone. The bureaucrats who run the show could not care less whether you live or die, and most of them are rude and hostile when you try to contact them to find out what is going on.
So there you have it. The system sucks, big time. Still want to try it?

I think part of it has to do with the fact that I-129F applications make up a vast minority of the applications they receive. Looking at the data page offered up by USCIS, it looks like they get between 400,000-500,000 applications per month. Of these, less than 1% (aprox. 4,000) are I-129F applications.
They seem to move people around to working on petitions where it's more needed, and we make up a very small percentage of the total applications in the system. So I'm sure there isn't a lot of push to put our petitions as a high priority.
Not saying it's fair, just... the numbers are kind of stacked against us.

Look if 300 apps are aprouved in 1 day and you make up 5% of the population then you should have 15 out of those, the odds of having a sample of 5% and seeing 0 of your sample out of 300 are less then 1%.
Please do not make me go through the theorems and prove it lol please
even if they are done with the month or almost done that doesnt mean you should see little to no aprouvals all it means is you should seem some fromt the next month, that backwards logic I have heard of well once the month comes to a close aprouvals taper down, it just has no logic to it. If august only has 10% remaining unaprouved then you should start seeing september approuvals

this is why i started the thread in the first place, it was pretty obvious it was coming to this, like i said that huge volume done at the end of last month was simply to pad the completions for that month and make it seem liek they did more then they did. Im sure what ever contorl process they have is checked monthly and that is why you get 70 in the last week of a month and then 7 for half the month after.
And in 3 2 1 will come a swarm of optimists and finger pointers and finger wagers. duck and cover

Do you mean zero movement like the one that we will probably see today?
Who ever said stop bitching...... NO, you didnt have to open the thread and read it thanks bye
Progress is progress I was just pointing out a downward trend and it looks like I may be right because as the days go we get less aprouvals and today we may get none.
Finally about VJ not being a valid sample, we live in the 21st century pretty much everyone in the US has a computer and uses them, pretty much everyone in zimbabwe uses one let alone in the US. We are a very good random sample thier is no bias here. and just becasue you can find similarities in the members does not mean they are relavent to the statistic being analyzied. What does filing your self have to do with anyhting? Most people do file themselves but ok.
There is nothing worse then a person who goes on to a forum opens a thread and then feels the need to voice that the thread is pointless, the hypocracy of that situation is comical. It was so pointless but you just felt the need to add to its pointless ness and spend your valuable time reading through 4 pages of posts of a useless thread.

It is February 7 at 12:30 P.M., and there is nothing but stony silence from the Vermont Disservice Center.
Looks like the start of another hibernation cycle for them.
Wonder how long this one will last? 6 days like the last one they pulled, or 4 months like the hideous stunt they subjected us to last October?

If you follow my posts I am the one who asked that Vermont filers to wait 'til the weather changes up north before they confirm a "standstill". Also, the reason we get so nervous is that Vermont had totally stopped processing petitions for about three months in a row. We are afraid of this happening again!
I read some old posts of VJ from a few years back. I've found that Vermont has been the fastest among all the Service Centers, and I believe that was the reason they dumped all those TPS files on them. Yes, they may get ahead of Cali. but, no one can really tell what will happen because they are very inconsistent about everything.

    You don't get this.
So let me put it this way:
Do you have children? I do. They are adults and on their own now, but when they were children and living with me in my house, their needs came first. Under no circumstances would I ever consider taking resources away from their support and giving it to a charity instead.
Yet that is exactly what the government did here, Knowing for a fact that they did not have sufficient adjudicator resources to attend to their responsibility to their own citizens, they took those resources away from us and gave them away to the Haitians. And to make matters worse, they won't tell us anything except lies.
That would be the same as if I were to drop my children's dinner money in the poor box at the church, and then when they ask me when they are getting dinner, I would tell them "You are within one hour of your normal dinner processing time. Fill out a service request, and I will let you know what happened to your dinner sometime by 1:00 A.M."
Why is it OK for a government that is allegedly by the people to screw the people that badly?
