I've got two wonderful "kids" (20 and 24) from my first marriage and to be honest with you I'm more ready to be a father now than I was when I was 20. My son was really proud that his old man could "get one past the goalie".

It's sad really. What was proposed as a push for more understanding of the P&R people and the problems associated with said people has now instead turned into a campaign to remove its people from the website.

Just got a call from Karen at my local post office. She says that the letter containing the gc has been found and delivered to our house. I certainly hope so. I will say this, even though the USPS screwed up, Karen was great in helping me out today. So thanks Karen, whoever you are!

That sucks, Teddy. I've had more than my fair share of things go missing. Once it was a package from my mom, which was supposedly being held for me at my local post office. When I showed up with the ticket, they couldn't find it. They looked for a week and it never showed up, so my mom filed a claim with Amazon for non-delivery. Amazon refunded her money promptly. About two months later, I got a call from the post office -- would I like to come over and pick up my Amazon package? So I got my present and my mom got her money.
In other news, I can announce that Mr U and I have decided to take the plunge and move in together sooner rather than later. Since he's going to be laid off soon (his company was bought by AT&T and is being wound down), homebuying is off the table, but we've come to the conclusion that, well, we finally want to drive each other bananas all the time, not just on weekends. I'm excited but a little sad to be leaving my epic bachelorette days behind, along with my awesome roommate. But it's time now for a new chapter.
