My wife came to the U.S. In Januaray of 2010, we were married in March of 2010. She received her conditional Green card in August of 2010. We will be filing for Adjustment of Status in May of this year, when can my wife file for Citizenship? Is it 3 years or 5 years? If 3 years that would be 2013 and 5 would be 2015?
Thank you for any responses,

Hi,
My wife is in the Philippines ow visiting her family, she will be coming home next week. My wife came here originally on a K-1 visa and currently has a greencard (less than 2 years). Our question is, when my wife goes to the airport in Manial to come home, does she get in the non-immigrant visa line? Will she have to pay a travel tax, if so about how much? She will have one carry on bag and one bag checked, she will be flying by Cathay Pacific, will there be excesive baggage fees?
I thank you in advance for any help, this is my wife's first trip home since coming here over a year ago so we aren't sure about exactly how this works.
Thank you again,

Hello everyone,
My wife will be going back to the Phiippines for two weeks soon, she currently has a conditional green card. When purchasing the airline ticket for my wife, what name should I have the ticket in? Her married name that is on the green card or her maiden name that is on her Philippine passport?
Thank you for any assistance,

Hi everyone,
I haven't been on here in awhile as my wife and I have been settling into ur life together. I have a question now that my Wife needs to go home to visit her father in the Philippines(he has been sick). We didn't plan on her needing to leave the country so we never filled out the forms for leaving the country. My question is, My wife has her green card, we will need t fill out the I-751 early next year, can my wife leave the country now with a conditional greencard? Or do we need to fill out forms? Will she only need her Philippine passport?
Basically, is there anything we need to do at this point for her to leave the country and gain re-entry into the US. Also, is there a time limit on how long she can stay out of the country?
Thank you for your help and God Bless everyone.

Hi,
My wifes biometrics appointment is later today, are there any forms needed to fill out and take with us? She thought she read somewhere that form is needed. I told her that all I think she needs is her SSN, appointment letter and passport. Do we need to take anything else?
Thanks and God bless!

Hi everyone,
My wife received a notice yesterday that her AOS case has been transferred to the California service center for faster processing. What should we expect now? This is good news right? My wife will have her biometrics appointment this week in Charlotte, NC. We are still waiting for her work authorization, any idea how long we will have to wait for that? We filed her I-85 and EAD paperwork April, 28th.
Thanks everyone and GOD Bless. Happy Memorial day to everyone!

Hi everyone,
My wife has her biometrics appointment next Thursday afternoon. I just started a new job two weeks ago and I am training from 3:30pm-11:45pm every night, do I need to go to the biometrics appointment with my wife or will it be ok for my mom to take her? Right now it would be best for me to not miss any work while training, but if I need to go to the biometrics I will find a way.
Thanks and God bless!

I just want to make sure before I send the application in, the guide here suggests to include a cover letter with the "applicants name and address" and for the applicant to sign and date the letter.
Do I put the letter in my wifes name, she is here on the K-1 Visa, is she the applicant who needs to sign the letter?
Am I, the USA citizen the applicant or is my wife the applicant? Thanks!!!
Thanks for any replies, I'm tyring to finish this up today and mail it, God Bless.

so is the 'A' number the same one that is shown on the NOA2? we didn't see an 'A' number on my fiancee's k-1 visa
I didn't even think about looking for a number on the NOA2 until you asked me the question, and yes the number is the same except it has a 0 as a first number, making it 9 digits on there.
Thanks again,

My wife and I live with my parents, so I need to know how many people to list on the I-864 household. When I filed for the I-129F, I only listed myself and my wife even though I was here living with my parents. They own the house and pay the bills, can I just list 2 again and use only my income?
Thanks for any help,

Hi,
At the bottom of the G-325A, it asks you to print your name and A#. On the sample I am viewing, the sample had the lady print her maiden name, before marriage. At the top of the page, we have my wife listed with her new married name as the family name, so...what name do we print at the bottom of the page...her new married name or her maiden(name while still single) name? Thanks for any help.
Also, we understand that the file number is listed as A# on the visa...correct? We tried to input that number into the G-325A but my wife's number seems to have one numeral too many? My wifes number is like this...00 000 000....8 digits, in the samples there are only 7 digits in the number.
One last question, how many copies do we need of the G-325A for adjustment of status?
Thanks again for any help and GOD bless,

Hi,
We went to a local civil surgeon to have the I-693 prepared, while there they told us that my wife needed a TB skin test (PPD) as part of the vaccination section? Is this correct? We go back to have her skin test checked tomorrow, but I'm worried there may be a reaction there. She may test positive for Latent TB because her chest x-ray was clear at St. Lukes. If the test is positive for TB, what will happen next? Can we continue with the AOS process. I was hoping to mail the AOS paper work in a couple of weeks. Her 90 days are up at the end of April.
Thanks for any help, I'm really worried about this.

POE
in Philippines
Hi,
My fiancee will fly into San Fransico on Saturday night the 30th, are there any fees at the POE? I haven't read about any but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks.
I am aware that she will probably have taxes and fees to pay in Manila at the airport, I just want to make sure there are no fees to enter the US at the POE.
GOD Bless everyone and thanks for any help.

I-94
in Philippines
the answers of the other members for nos. 1-4 are correct.for your last question, the arrival-departure record is the i-94 and she doesn't need to fill out the departure part. she will keep that card stalpled in her passport and it will be detached when she leaves the US
Thank you all for the replies. Just one more thing, we are confused as to where she finds the admission number? Is it on her visa? If so, which number is it? She sees a number in her visa, stamped in red, but its only 7 digits? This one has us confused. Thanks!

I-94
in Philippines
Hi everyone, Erma will be coming here on Sunday Jan. 31st, we are so excited. We have been looking at the I-94 to be prepared, will they give that to her on the plane to fill out?
1)What is the admission number, the number at the top that looks like it would be 11 digits?
2)For number 7, it asks the flight number and airline, but in the instructions it says to put land if by entering by land, and enter sea if entering by sea? Does she just list the flight number and airline?
3)For city where visa was issued, she will enter Manila?
4)Number 8,For country where you live, she will enter Philippines, since she has been living there until now?
One last question, it says to fill out the arrival and departure record? She needs to fill out the departure too even though she is coming here to live?
We just want to make sure she understands everything and that all will go smoothly. Thanks for any replies.
God Bless!

Hi,
My fiancee will be here in about two weeks, we would like to know when she can legally work? Does she have to wait until after we are married and submit the I-785? Or can she work before our marriage using the I-94?
Thanks, we just want to know the process.
God Bless everyone.

Hi,
My fiancee Erma has been planning on going to cebu for the CFO this Monday, but when she got her passport out of the plastic bag, there is a letter in there stating she has to go to the st.mary euphrasia foundation-center for overseas workers in Manila. Does she really have to go to Manila for the cfo? Would it be better to go there?
Also, if she is going to Manila, what is a good hotel near st.mary euphrasia foundation in Quezon city.
Thank you and GOD bless.

Hi, My fiancee Erma plans to go to Cebu on Monday Jan. 18th and try to go for the CFO on Tuesday the 19th, can anyone suggest to me how early she should arrive to make sure she is able to get in that day? She would like to return home the next day so we want to make sure she gets in on that day.
Thanks for any help and GOD bless!

Hi everyone,
My fiancee Erma will be coming here to the USA in January. We know about the weight limit on luggage, but we were wondering if there is a size limit on the suitcase that will be stored in the cargo area of the plane? Basically, how big is too big to go under the plane?
My second question is about work once she is here. Is it true they will stamp her I-94 when arriving in the US and allow her to work right away? Then we need to fill out the papers during AOS for longer term permit to work? Just curious about how this process works as she would like to work right away.
Thanks for any help and GOD bless everyone. Merry Christmas too!

My Fiancee's interview is next Tuesday, December 8th. Of course we are very hopeful of being approved, so she wanted me to ask others about their experience of coming to the USA to live. She wants to know what the limit is on the amount of luggage she can carry here, as she is thinking of how many clothes should she bring?
What did some of you do? Is there a weight limit on the luggage she can carry?
Thanks for any ideas, suggestions.

Hi,
Can you take your cell phone with you into St. Lukes for the medical? I know you can't at the embassy, just wondering about St. Lukes.
Thanks,
James

Yes, you are right. I meant to say "removal of conditions". Thank you to everyone for the responses.
