  1. I am Catholic and Wael is Muslim. We have had no problems or issues with each others religions..

I am with him during Ramadan and he is with me during Christmas and other Christian hoidays.

I do believe knowledge is the greatest gift we have when it comes to religion. He respects my

views as I do his. We have a happy medium in this respect.

It can work. I am Christian, Ouadia is Muslim. We talked about this alot, and we both respect eachothers views. He also agreed since he will be moving into the U.S. that I can raise the children Christian. As they get older, and learn about other religions, they are free to choose what they want to believe. Ouadia and I have agreed, that our children are free to believe what they want, but as they are growing, that it will be church for them. We both respect and celebrate our different cultures and religions. We feel if more people were this way, the world would be a better place. Good luck with everything!!

  5. Welcome Tany.....you found a ticket for that price???????????

what airline or website was that?

did you have a ton of layovers?

I would have to disagree about moroccan MEN being the sexiest because for me THERE IS ONLY ONE sexy Moroccan man :P:luv:

Iberia's web site. I had one layover in madrid, spain. On the way there, the layover was 3 hours, but on the way back, i had to stay overnight, but I found a nice hotel with airport shuttle for $60 including tax, so really, It was perfect!! I was in rough times having no job for a couple of months, and after searching for a week, we found this price, it was crazy!!!!! We knew, God did this for us to meet, because otherwise, I would not have been able to go visit him.....Everything happens for a reason!

  6. I just sent out our 129 for our K-1 visa. We feel so good about our package. I have been reading different topics, and I see that you can get denied because the relationship isn't bonafide. How do they come to that conclusion?? My fiance and I talk every single day, and we have since the day we met, so I am not worried too much about this, but I hate the fact that my fate is in someone else's hands who does not even know me or my fiance! I guess that is what comes with falling in love with a foreigner. LOL

Any advice or facts about this? Thanks for helping

Never believe your fate in someone else's hands. It is in YOUR hands. Study all you can about this process, study all you can about your consulate, prepare everything correctly, thoroughly and document everything. Keep a copy of everything...and you will be fine. What this "someone else" thinks of you, your fiance and your relationship is based on what YOU provide. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Make your own dreams come true.

I couldn't agree with you more!! So many people here like to blame 'the process' or the 'co' or whoever they can rather than themselves when things go wrong. If you provide them with all the "right" information in "good enough quantities", then there's no reason for them not to believe you.

I have no doubt that they'll believe my relationship is real, because I have

Tons of photos of us together with her kids too (and with my parents and sisters)

Boarding passed from about 6 trips (including other flights we took together while I was in the USA)

Boarding passes from 3 trips when she visited me

    Receipts of snail mail

    About 2 years of email

    Passport stamps for each trip

Cash receipts when I draw out money over there

Credit card receipts from flowers I bought her for her birthday (which is on Sunday btw so hope she doesn't read this, it'll ruin the surprise lol)

Ummm... There's a few other little things, but think that's most of it.

I'm also going to print out FB and MySpace pages of comments, and status that shows us being together (OK, that can be easily faked, but it just supports the rest)

I feel pretty good now, because I sent every single little piece of evidence that we have. I sent about 60 photos of me with him, and his family and friends. I sent every email, snail mail, engagement ring reciept, chat logs, phone bills......We feel like we have such a strong package, that how could they not see a genuine relationship....Thank you guys for the encouragement!!

I feel you sister, and yes! I agree  Btw, I was reading the other posts, don't worry about anything...stay positive even though it's hard at times. Pray alot, put your faith in God. God and your loving man will help you through this process. :star: I am currently stalking the USCIS site waiting for a 'touch' or approval so I've been through what you're about to go through...and looking back it seems like only a month has gone by...other days it seems like I'm counting every minute on the clock. Stay strong, stay positive! Everyone here is wonderful and this site is FULL of info. This site is a Godsend. Hugs to you :D

AWWW thank you so much for the encouragement....and you are right about time flying, but at times, its hard. We just went through hell putting the final touches on our package. We were both so nervous, we bickered alot...LOL now that its out of our heads, we are back to focusing on eachother, but it also gave me the time to remember how much I miss this man....I haven't seen him since april. I was hoping to get over to see him again this year, but I am starting a new job next week, and I won't be able to take time off...not to mention the price!!! Would you believe, we bought a ticket in march to travel april 1 for $398 including tax!!!! This was a round trip ticket. Now, I am lucky to find anything below $900 for the next year....God certainly had a hand in that one! I see you are only a few months ahead of us, so I hope we can chat more! :star:

  9. Hate to burst your bubbles, but my fiance petition was sent back to USCIS from Casa, and we talked everyday several times a day for over 1 1/2yrs. I also know an individual who talked with their fiance maybe 1x per week or sometimes not even that and Casa approved their petition. So I just knew that we were going to get our visa approved because of this couple that we knew visa was approved and their evidence to prove a bonified relationship was not good at all. Just pray that you get a decent CO that interviews your fiance. I've since went and got married, and my husband is home with me with his green card in hand praise be to ALLAH.

Thanks for the advice. You know, my fiance and I have talked that if they don't approve the K-1, I will just go there, and get married in Morocco. Is there any way the government can deny you being with your spouse? Ouadia (that's my fiance) seems to think if we are married, we have the right to be together, so pretty much, they can't say no. We discussed this alot when we were deciding what to do for the next step in our relationship. We both have such a strong faith in God, so we know, if this is what God wants for us, it will happen. Thanks again.

  10. I am saving everything, and sent over 600 pages of chat, but not all of it, cause i figured they wouldn't read it all, I just wanted them to see that we talk all the time. I have heard Morocco is difficult, but he has three friends who have been through the process, and each of them said it took about 6 months from beginning to end. But I do think it depends on who does the interview.....OY VAY!!

  12. I don't have a bank account, and to get a money order from a bank, you need to open an account. So I was going to get my money order for my K-1 Visa at the store. Its called a money gram money order, and it has the name of Wells Fargo bank on the money order. Is this acceptable to use, or must I have a bank account and get a money order at a bank? thanks for helping!!

  13. Please settle a disagreement. I am about to send our K1 package. the directions say to make all forms originals, and all proofs copies. He says I have to send his letter, the translation, and his birth certificate and translation in the original form. I said copies are ok. I don't want to send his originals, cause if somethign happens to the package, then he needs to go through getting it all again, and getting it translated. Who is right???

  14. I am a little worried. I found out I have to give all my financial information to sponsor my fiance. I don't have a bank account, and I don't make too much money. Will this cause a problem for him coming here? I live with my parents, and he will be living here. Everything was perfect until i found this out, now I am afraid because of my finances, I won't be with him. Anyone have any advice??

  15. My fiance is in morocco, and I am a US citizen. I just spent the month of april there, and we got engaged there. We are confused about what we should do next. We know a little about the fiance visa, but we were thinking of getting married in morocco, then doing another ceremony in the US. But he was telling me it might take a year for him to get here if we get married first. I am so confused, can any one who has been through this give me some guidance? Thank you in advance!

Sounds like he is pretty familiar with the process. Why do you suppose that is? Are you older than him? Don't care myself, it only seems to be a trend in Moroccan male fiances, though it is totally opposite local custom and tradition.

The K-1 process (fiance) offers little in the way of real advantages, maybe none, but it does get the foriegn person here faster, if his goal is to get to the USA in the quickest route, that is it. If his goal is long term, it won't matter and K-3 or CR-1 may be more advantageous in the long run. It will take 9 months for the fiancee visa, or thereabouts, so is he worried about another 3 months? He is marrying you for life, correct? 3 months is a big problem?

In dealing with Morroco it is best to be very thorough, especially when the circumstances go against local customs and traditions, such things are seen as "red flags" that cause a question of the reasons for the relationship. Read the guides carefully and check the regional forums for people with experience in exactly your type of situation

I am going to say something probably controversial but with good intentions. If you are older than him, especially if you are of an age where you are not likely to have children with him, if you have religious differences, and he knows a lot about this process and he is in a big hurry to get to the USA, and not so big a hurry to marry you, you better be very careful of what you are doing, for your own sake. Morroco is considered a high fraud country and they don't choose those by throwing darts at the map. Please. If I am out of line, so be it. I said nothing to hurt the process and hope gave some good advice.

    Good luck

I thank you very much for your advice. First I would like to say, we are both in our 20,s, and looking forward to being married and having children. We don't care much about him coming to the US as much as we want to be together. That is the main point. We would love to get married in morocco, but I am the one not wanting to wait the year to be with him. Being apart is very very hard. We talk everyday, but we just want to be together, above all else. I appreciate your response!!
