      You know your member ID kinda confuses me! Sachin is an Indian name, a guy's name, KY = (Kentucky?) so what does that actually mean? lol sorry, just wondering!

      Haha. Actually, I'm a devoted fan of Sachin Tendulkar and my childhood nickname back home amongst friends and family is Chinky but since that's kinda racist I usually go by (Sachin + Chinky = Sachinky <3) on the interwebz.

    I know the Ahmadebad RPO is hella-difficult to deal with. You're gonna have to consult with some members from Gujarat to figure out that particular ball-game. The Calcutta RPO was quite easy to navigate, in that regard.

    I think it's Form 2, Miscellaneous. Just submitted it to the Calcutta RPO on a Friday and picked it up on Monday evening.

    I did not change my name after marriage but did have my husband's name added under "Spouse's name" two days before my interview. I didn't want to take any chances. They simply added a notation to my passport with my husband's name on it. Good luck.

    Congrats on the SIF -- do you have an interview date yet?

    The April date is the validity of the visa. Which means you can use that visa to enter the US up until that date. Once you cross POE, your green-card will be activated and the physical card will be mailed to you in a few weeks to the address listed on the DS230. That card will show a validity of two years from the date of your POE.

    Yes, it was. I assume it was done in that way so that air-line security doesn't demand that you open your 'sealed package.' I was asked to produce that envelope before boarding my flight in Delhi.
