  1. Our interview was today. It was really strange. The officer was not personable at all. But my question is this: was I supposed to receive a document that says I am approved? He never used the word 'approved'. After a row of questions and the request for evidence he made me sign a paper that explained the green card, how to remove conditions etc. He drew a line on it with an X and had me sign it. I was so nervous, I didn't even know what to say. He also kept my I-94 card after he had written on it. In the hall I asked him how long for the card, and he said 2-3 weeks. I assume I am approved but can someone confirm a similar experience? My online status still says Initial Review. That has never changed.

    I am confused.

  2. At 9am I did get a person on the phone and they did confirm that the office is closed ( by that time the website was updated to Friday).

she said there is no use going there. My appointment will be rescheduled, I have to wait for another letter. I can't believe it, this has to happen to me. I hope they will reschedule soon. There were many offices closed today due to the weather.

  3. Maxximus - are you getting ready for the interview? Yours is one day ahead of mine.

Have you made a million copies of everything already like me? I have a bag full of stuff. If they want to see something during the interview, it may take me 5 minutes alone just to locate it. I mean, in addition to originals of everything already submitted, they also want now recent stuff, like 2 months worth of paystubs. Crazy!

I wanted to ask what a certified copy of marriage license looks like? Is that similar to a notarized document?

    Thanks,

  4. I reviewed some timelines of September filers today and most seem to be moving along pretty fast. I saw several that had a interview notice 1.5 to 2 months after sending in their package. Thats can get me excited, but it could also make things worse in that I might expect the same happening for me, and if it doesn't, well, then big disspointment.

Like Maxximus said, this may really depend on the availability of the local office.

Lets just hope everything goes smoothly, even if it takes a little longer in some cases.
