~ameriptian~ got a reaction from Romet in UK transit visa needed?
I have flown on British Airways from Cairo to Miami and had a 20-hour transit in Heathrow, London. I was supposed to only wait in London for one hour and then catch a flight to Miami, but my flight from Cairo got delayed for 4 hours in Cairo and then I had to wait for almost a whole day in London.
I had to fill out a paper to exit the airport and go to the hotel British Airways booked a room for me in. The paper had questions like how long I'm staying in London and what for, I then handed the paper to a British Border Officer and I had a small interview in which I was asked: Why I am going to the US? What does my fiance do for a living? Have I ever been to the UK or the US before? How long I am staying in London? and a few similar questions...then he stamped my passport and gave me my hotel card and the bus number I was going to take and asked me to be there 2 and half hours early before my next flight the next morning.
It went very easy. British people are very helpful and nice, whether they were employees at the airport or just people on the street. The hard part was getting back to Heathrow Airport the next morning...I had to take a bus then a train and I almost lost my way a few times...
I hope your husband has a safe trip and I wish you two a happy reunion!

Personally I wouldn't put it off, but I don't think your plan is a bad one either.
When we turned in our RFE we got a reply within about a week's time that we were approved.
There's a chance you might get an interview but it's not a guarantee. I would suggest mailing in your papers already if you have them and just state what dates you'll be out of the country if they do request an interview. Who knows you might actually be approved and have your new greencard before you even travel.
    Best of luck to you!

These "East Indians" you speak of, do you think IT companies just pick up random East Indians off the street and give them IT jobs? So if an East Indian can get a job in IT so can an Egyptian? Yeah, if they have the same amount of experience and education. You most certainly do need experience and degrees most certainly do count. Companies aren't going to hire FOBs with no experience just based on their word that they have computer knowledge. The logic you're using here is flawed. You're giving the OP false hope.

As a Post Partum nurse, she sounds as if she has post partum depression. Have you taken her to the Doctor recently? If not, I would call her OB/GYN and get an appointment soon.

You can't send her back. She is a LPR and can remove conditions on her own.
If you loved her I would think you'd be investigating treatment for depression. She just had a baby 2 months ago and you want to separate the momma from the baby?
    Something is off.

No. I would not send anything you already did. I think they specifically ask you not to do so.
Just include more statements. I would mail them 1 or 2 years worth of bank statements, 1-2 years of bills and whatever else you can include. I got an RFE and I submitted an inch or two worth of documents and they accepted it. I had sent only 2 -3 bills. For the RFE, I included documents that covered the whole period of the marriage.
    You will be fine

RFQ I have to have British humor explained to me sometimes too and other kinds of humor. Like today there was a joke by the Australian Easter bunny in that new movie Guardians where he picks up a bag of teeth and says "jack pot you're a brumbie." I had to ask what a brumbie was and then I got the joke. That's light hearted humor.
The story about the Egyptian Jon Stewart is reaching Western media more. It was covered in the guardian this morning and they explained it better with what's going on. Link
They even have video of him turning himself in. The "western media article" explains to their "western audience," why this new form of "Egyptian satire" has hit a nerve with the people who are the butt of his jokes. Namely it's the MB who are cracking down. It also goes on to explain the illegal appointees ect.
It's obvious in this case that not all Egyptians are on the same page in regards to Satire. That's why it's mind boggling you disagree with the fact they think he's gone to far even according to their standards and you still don't get it.
I guess I am the "some people" that you're targeting and I often get your tone of sarcasm. I just don't appreciate the persistent and belligerent ignorance towards me that's been going on for the past five years in your posts. For the most part I ignore your continued harassment of me, but lately you're bringing it to a new level of creepy, weird and obsessive. You don't surprise me anymore. This is the bazillionth time you've treated me badly and I can't say you've ever had a kind word towards me. I think we both know this isn't about me as much as it's about your ego.

I know people have to explain British humor to me (and still I'm not sure I get it). And my husband says he doesn't get Saudi humor at all. Somethings just don't translate across cultures.
Mostly though I'm sure its just the lenses they are viewing this satire through.

Well... piercing brown eyes and already-a-citizen aside, maybe you should give yourself some time to fully get over what just ended before you start something new. Rebound relationships don't have such a great success rate. Nothing wrong with being friends, I guess... but what's the rush to get your still-healing heart all tangled up again so quickly ?

Just end your contact with him and do not respond to any requests for information from the embassy, etc.
If later you meet another US citizen and seek a visa you will have to disclose that another person did file a petition. You simply state that the relationship did not work out and that you did not pursue the interview.

I have no interest in becoming a US citizen. I already gave up ALOT by moving here, and since Denmark does not allow dual citizenship, it would be as if I'm utterly abandoning my roots - I have no intentions of doing so. If I did, a possible scenario would be; If my parents one day are on their death beds, I will like the freedom of staying with them more than 3 months rather than having an overstay and not being able to visit my home of birth after that.
While renewing greencard every 10th year doesn't seem appealing to me, it's worth it to maintain my Danish citizenship. I think that is my own business and choice, and my husband accepts that.
Had Denmark allowed dual citizenship, I don't know how I'd stand. Again, it's a personal choice. If I don't "feel partially American", I wouldn't start a process anyways.

I will not apply for citizenship.
Norway does not allow dual citizenship (very few exceptions, which I won't bother going into, but safe to say I do not and will not ever qualify), so by gaining American citizenship I would have to give up my Norwegian one. No thanks. I love my country. I don't have the similar attachment to America. I like living here just fine, I LOVE vacationing here, but I'll never be, nor would I want to be, American (however you want to define "American"). I have my green card for a single reason, and that is my husband.

If you want to pursue thing with ICE, pick up the phone and call. Don't wander around VJ building up support. Take your shot with reporting it. That's the only way to know if what you have as evidence is going to make be sufficient. My understanding is that you have to present a strong case for ICE to expend energy.
Also, divorce and move on from the marriage. Trying to exact some sort of "payback" is ultimately a waste of good energy.

Another failure of the K1 process. USCIS really needs to give an automatic class of visa to beneficiarys so that they have an opportunity to come and visit the US before approving these petitions.
Of course your Wife (you did get married?) was a different person and in vacation mode when she came to visit. The daily struggles of day to day lif ein the USA, even for the middel class, is a far cry from when they are on vacation.
Anyways, what is done is done, I don't think you qualify for VAWA since there was no abuse but it can be molded into an abuse case my morally flexible folks. Your best bet is to suck it up Man and git her done. Work with your Wife, go to counselling, be her partner, let her see that once you adjust and can work then you can contributwe and you can move out of roach motels.
If that's impossible then no other choice but to go back home and reset.
    Good luck my Brother.
