Please. This dude's post on Visa Journey isn't going to stop anyone from getting knocked up. He's just proselytizing and putting himself on a high horse. My daughter was born during this process. I had her because I wanted a child. It was my choice, and if things didn't work out with her father, I'd raise her on my own. Stay out of other people's uteri.

I was pregnant before I filed for a K1 for my now husband. I filed the petition 2 1/2 months after our daughter was born. At his interview, my husband presented them with our daughter's birth certificate with his name one it. You can get his name on it by filing a signed and notarized affidavit of parentage with your state. The consulate provides these notary services for non citizens. We were never asked to provide a DNA test to prove parentage, and my husband got his visa.

I've often said that if every timepiece on the entire continent of Africa stopped working, no one would know the difference. When hubby first got here, the concept of "being on time" was totally lost on him. Still to this day, if I call him and tell him to be ready to leave when I get home from work, I know I'm going to wait a good 30 minutes AFTER I pull up for him to come out to the car.
The whole bathroom thing is why he won't shower after dark. He says that jinn sleep in the drains at night after haunting the world by day, and running water over them after evening prayer will cause you to be cursed. When I lived in Morocco and would shower after dark, his family would meet me on the stairs and pray over me.

I think you're 100% right on all points. Just think hard about it before you make a decision. Life is not ideal, but right now you have the chance to make a choice. It's only a matter of a year's difference in timing, and he'd be able to be there to hear the baby's heartbeat, help you get around to appointments, and hold your hand during labor. My husband needlessly missed out on all of those things, because we rushed and got pregnant before he was here. I tried to make him as involved as possible over the phone, and via webcam, but when our daughter ended up in the NICU for a week and he couldn't see her, he was inconsolable, and I still feel crappy about it 2 years later. I really wish you the best of luck in whatever you choose.

I'm thinking this lady has a lot of gaul to post here. Really, you think you are going to get sympathy from people who are trying to get here legally?! Well, hubby and I thank you for contributing to our long and difficult journey. I am glad some "jealous woman" snitched on you guys. You deserve whatever is coming to you.
