Everyone uses USC instead. Is that from USCIS?
I know that one !! USC = United States Citizen
Obsessed ... yeah I think I'm familiar with that one too

Where to go depends on the country, you will find a scan of the checklist on the info page of the Embassy in Canada (Vancouver) http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...p;cty=Vancouver.

Chronopost is the name of a mail service in France, they also provide their envelope.
Some embassies require a self addressed and stamped envelop for them to send the visa.
As for the police record, everyone has one even if it has nothing on it.
A blank record means that you've done nothing wrong which is what the embassy wants to know

That's so sweet thanks
I'm trying to prepare as much as possible in anticipation to make it happen fast indeed

OK I'll send the letter and we'll see.
And the whole process will take less than 6 months! Has to! If I repeat this often enough it's bound to come true isn't?
Take care

Hi BelgiumUsa, I'm fine except for the stress of all this
Ok I was not sure the letter from VJ was still valid, as you can ask a "extrait de casier judiciaire" at city hall.
I'll give it a try. Or is it too early? How long is it valid?
Well my last doctor didn't give me any vaccines but maybe he'll have an idea, guess I'll give that a try also, do not want multiple shots and risking having a bad reaction to them

Hi Argentina and thanks
I've always lived in Belgium, 3 different sub parts of the same district though
I see that via City Hall I can request something resembling a police record, maybe it's that.
For the vaccines, no idea if schools and such kept records at all.

Hello all
I'm not at that stage yet but I would like to prepare as best I could, and keep busy also
Here are my two questions :
- Police Certificate : on the VJ info page about the Belgian Embassy it states that a letter can be addressed to the Ministry of Justice,
but on the embassy site I see I need the following : "Police Certificates from all places lived since age 16"
Are those the same thing, do they deliver just one paper that's valid for every places or do I need to get one from every places?
It seems Belgium is undergoing yet another change about police certificates and such so I'm a bit lost.
- Medical - vaccinations records : I don't have any records I know I've had some of the required vaccines but I don't have any proof of it.
Should I just redo them all ? The thought of that makes me shiver lol
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hello everyone, I'm Shanh from Belgium
Just came back from the US after spending some time with my boyfriend, now fiancé even.
We're about to embark on the K1 journey *scared*.
I'm glad I found this site which seems to be such a blessing
I guess I'll be asking some questions and/or asking for reassurance in the very near future
Take care,
Shanh

Grats on check cashed to all late April filers
I hope we're next
As fiancé forgot to ask for received receipt, the cashed check will soothe my nerves a tiny little bit
