You can have your immunizations done by your personal doctor ahead of time, yes.
For the x-rays you could phone the medical center to be sure, there are only 2 for immigration purposes in Belgium.
You'll find some useful info here : My link
and for your medical questions : My link
The blood test when I did it was for HIV and syphilis, not sure they still do Hiv.
They don't do drug testing, though you will be asked if you have taken some I believe.

A copy of the marriage certificate can be obtained in the state where the marriage took place.
They keep record of that

Hi there
I've seen some Belgian beer at Trader Joe's, not Jupiler though, Kriek I'm not sure. They do seem to have Kriek at Bevmo.
As for "frituur" I haven't seen any so far.
Gaah now I have a craving for kaaskroket, thank you very much

I understand how you feel
So if I understand correctly you have 2 kids and expect a third, correct?
That would make your household including you and Erwin : 5 persons.
For the affidavit of support your income has to be 125% of the poverty guidlines, so according to this site http://liheap.ncat.org/profiles/povertytables/FY2010/popstate.htm you need to make at least 32,238 $ a year and prove it.
I hope you'll hear good news soon
You might want to check the guides in the guides section, they are a great help to come to terms with all that is needed

I know you want Erwin to be there for the birth but it's a lot of added expenses to come and have the baby in Belgium.
And traveling back with a very small infant is not easy.
As far as immigration in the US is concerned, does your income meet the requirements for the affidavit of support?
I know you're going through a lot at the moment but you should try and look if you have everything covered

You know it, Markieboy!
First we're gonna watch the Lakers cream the Celtics, then we're off to Disneyland until midnight. Woo hoo!!
Now we just need our CSCs to get their GCs sorted!
Wooohoooo congrats Camie and John

I finally received my green card today; almost exactly 1 month after the interview. This seems to be the trend, for those of you still waiting on it. Also, I have a question. I've heard some people say that you should carry the green card on you, I've heard other people say that you should not ( for fear that you loose your purse/wallet etc). I was reading the flyer and the paperwork that came with the card; however, it does not give any advice as to if I should carry it on me or not. Right now, I feel kinda lazy to go digging around the website, so does anybody know what's USCIS suggestion about carrying or not carrying your green card with you.
It is stipulated in the welcome letter that you should carry the green card at all time, it's the law.
Everyone is understandably concerned about loosing it or getting it stolen, it's your choice really but bare in mind the potential consequences.
Edit : it's also said on the letter on which the card was attached : always carry your card in the United States.

So it seems my "power of attorney" (for a lack of a better word) for next elections has been received and processed.
I'm very surprised that it worked without a glitch LOL.

AAAAAAH!!! CONGRATS YOU TWO (throwing you in there with the congrats, Shanh!!)!!
My Santa Ana sistas prevail.

Thanks Camie, John's turn soon I bet

Shanh: Congratulations. At least it shows that Belgians are not being discriminated against
tenika: We are in the same boat. Still waiting for something several months after transfer to CSC.

I got my GC in the mail today! Finally! Now where is my drivers license? (have I mentioned I really hate government stuff?)
Grats!
I still have to go to the DMV for an identity card, I'm dreading it already
-
Went to the SSA today too lol
No problem with the new Green Card but she did say my file still had my maiden name but it didn't seem to matter much as she kept on doing the adaptations.
Weird though.
-
Green Card received in the mail woohoo

It should be fine, otherwise I presume the embassy and/or the town hall would have given him more options.
If the paper states that he didn't have to serve, I think it's all the embassy wants.

You're adjusting from a K1 visa right?
You had a full medical for the K1 visa and it's valid 1 year.
So if your medical is still valid you do not need a new one.
And there is no need to transcribe it as is already in your file. WRONG. You adjusted from a K1 so you should know that this is completely incorrect information. If the vaccinations are not up to date then an I-693 (vaccinations only) needs to be completed. The Vaccination sheet IS NOT tied to the "one year validity" rule of the medical.
I answered for the vaccinations prior to the post you're quoting and was not referring to them in that same post as the OP was asking about transcribing the vaccinations versus vaccinations + whole medical. Vaccinations are indeed not tied to the "one year validity" rule of the medical and I never implied they were

They did that to prevent losing voters maybe

Hi, we went to a CS today and they said they can transcribe my vacc. but i need to take 1 shot and that's the Td shot.
it means i just need the vacc. record to transcribe in I-639?
Thanks
Didn't see your post while I was writing mine.
Well you have your solution then, take the Td vaccine and have them transcribe everything on your I-693.
-
As you don't seem very sure I would do as Nik+Heather suggests
Or you can try to find another CS who knows which vaccinations are missing and do them + transcribe them.

Yes.
It is specified in the instructions coming with the I-485, it's very important to read those.
