THREAD MOVING FAIL....

Since when is discussion of tax policy not possibly political? Although I'm no longer an organiser (you must have been dancing about with joy when that happened), I would refer you to the rules for organisers. When a topic could fit in either of two fora, the best course of action is to let it remain where it was posted.
I call BS on this move. Indeed, I might go so far to call it a political move, in which case this topic really DOES belong in P&R.

No, an oxymoron is an immigration consultant and his minions who masquerade as organizers.

I guess now, threads must include a preamble of sorts wherein you must justify how and why your thread is political or religious in nature. It will still be subject to the whims of of certain organizers.

I have no more pluses, otherwise I would add.
But, I have to say, due to Darnell's dysfunctional organizational skills, I have found some unexplored playgrounds here.

I have noticed a series of threads moved from the Politics & Religion subforum recently that had no business being moved. I can only surmise that the organizer doing this is not familiar with politics or religion. Here are two examples today of erroneously moved threads

While an article regarding illegal immigration can be construed as either an general immigration news, if you read this thread, which was moved, it has a decidedly political nature to it.
We need orgaznizers who will appropriately move threads based on their logical place on the forum.

Darnell, you're an organiser. You're not a mod, and you're not an admin. You have NO right to stipulate what may or may not be in a thread in P&R. So you don't like the people who post in there? And you think this is going to force us out? Guess what -- we're doubling down.

I say yes. The officers especially love if there's visible nipple in the photo.

Most people should go to interview dressed in business casual.10 minutes at the max for interview. You only have one chance to make a good impression. You don't blow it showing a lot of skin no matter how much you like this art form.

Seriously? People have spent tens of thousands of dollars to perpetrate immigration fraud... a tattoo isnt proof of a relationship... this reminds me of the time someone mentioned bringing photos of them having sex as proof...

For too long we VJ singletons have been made to feel like second class citizens here, stripped as we are of the marital (or near-marital) status that brought us first to VJ, wearing the scarlet letter of shame in its place. I say, rise up! Rise up and post your profiles!

I have been watching and reading these boards for about 2 years now and I have to say in that short time it has degraded badly because of the self appointed experts constantly chastising people looking for advice.
This is most rampant in both the Off Topic and Politics and Religon forums, and removal of these forums would cause these internet power junkies to find another website to boost their egos.
These two forums give them a place to fester and lurk until they can jump to one of the upper forums and pounce on someone looking for advice.
Those truly wanting to help others in the immigration process by posting their experiences will still keep the board active and viable, but deprieving the internet power junkies of their forums will cause them to go elsewhere because they really could care less about helping other people with immigration issues.
