We just gave up sending gifts!! I just send $$$$ to my sisters so they can go out and buy them stuff!! Rather give them the extra shipping $$$ than the mail companies,lol

I dont know about Fedex but i'm assuming its the same as UPS..they always charge brokerage fees no matter what and its a real pita. Usually i send stuff USPS since its cheaper, even if it takes forever.

After a lot of thought and consideration, I have reached the difficult decision that the time has come for me to step down as a moderator for Visa Journey. I have therefore asked Captain Ewok to return my status to 'regular member' effective Saturday, September 6th.
I have been a moderator on Visa Journey now since 2009 – 5 years – and these last few years as Lead Moderator. I have enjoyed the responsibility and the involvement, and I believe - I hope - that I have made a positive contribution to the site. I have appreciated the opportunity to give back to the VJ community in this important way for its help on my own now long-completed Visa Journey, and thank Captain Ewok for entrusting me with this great responsibility.
I am pleased to announce that Penguin_ie will assume the responsibilities as the new Lead Moderator. She is already an experienced and well-respected Global Moderator for Visa Journey, and I know she will be an excellent Lead Moderator. She has my utmost respect and complete confidence, and I am reassured knowing that I leave this post in such good hands.
I wanted to thank each and every one of you for all of your support and assistance to me and to the Moderation Team over these last years. You are all part of why Visa Journey is such a valuable resource and instrumental in the successful completion of so many of our own individual Visa Journeys. While I won't be a member of the Moderation Team any longer, I will still be a member of Visa Journey, and you will continue to see me participating in the forums and contributing to the site - just now it will be from the other side of the Report Button .
We have a great Moderation Team in place and I am definitely going to miss being a part of that team. It has been my pleasure to work with each and every one of them, and I will continue to do what I can to support them in their hard - and often thankless - jobs. I know how hard they work and how conscientiously they each take their responsibilities, so I offer to them as well, my gratitude and my appreciation for their hard work, their support and their friendship. it even says Banff Canada on it! our family baby shower we had hardly anything pink, lol well we got all sorts of clothes and blankets and things in pink I still can't believe his department did this for him. It was such a sweet thing to do for us.

ya i meant write yes to being denied. We technically don't get issued visa's, we are a special case. so unless you got a student visa or something to that effect i'd say no to the visa.

Never had my passport stamped but for your 2nd question the answer is yes you do write you were denied. Not sure if you got a paper saying when where etc but i did. just explain why you were denied, it won't hurt you at all. and it does show up in the computer.

I agree with Flames, in fact my package had so many things in it and it was also 99 pages LOL.
i sent anything and everything that had both our names and address on it. During our marriage we actually moved like 3 times. so what i did was for each address, i compiled evidence of co-mingling, finances and life.
so i sent in various items from our one year that we rented an apartment: our lease, joint tenants insurance, car insurance in both names, copies of his work 401k, medical insurance, life insurance etc showing me as the bene. copies of various utility bills in either his or my name showing same addy, as long as the other normal required stuff, copies of driver licence tax returns etc.
i basically did this for every address we had, I also included copies of the ar -11 filed and a copy of the receipt for his change off addy with uscis as well as the post office change of addy's for each address.
the only weak point was when we lived wtih his parents for a year while we waited on our house purchase to close. so again i included our joint banks statements, drivers licence changes of addys etc and oh cell phone bill which was the only utility bill we had while there. also car insurance renewal with that address and updated work 401k etc showing his parents addy.
If you think about it and collect your mail etc every day you can just amass a ton of stuff and use it.
the most important is anything that is financial, bank statements, pensions statements, life insurance, health benefits etc. showing each other as the beneficiary etc. Also another common mistake people make is they only show 2 or 3 items, but they don't realize it HAS TO SPAN THE ENTIRE MARRIAGE FROM WEDDING TO APPLICATION DATE. if you only send 3 months worth of stuff in they wont see that you have actually been living happily married for 2 years. so pick and choose stuff from each quarter in a year to show continuation.

Only took 4 years or so lol. Ugh ya i thought i was starting my period too, i had pressure bloating cramps, but it was the spotting last week on and off that gave it away along with the sore boobs. So now i'm just waiting for the DR to open so i can make an appointment and get referred to a obgyn i guess since i still never got one here yet Kinda nervous scared we don't have enough $$ etc. Our newest dog our female i think knew..she kept snuggling with me all week and lying on my stomach.

do temper outburst count as emotional? lol. i haven't actually been sick, but i keep getting queasy on and off. my husband said something was up cuz we went to tgi fridays and well i could not eat the chicken..and i LOVE meat..i'm a meat eater through and through. but i took one bite of the grilled chicken and went..nope can't eat it. my morning coffee, which i cannot due without, i can only have one cup, the 2nd cup two sips and i'm done. and exhaustion. it just hit me like a brick wall one day when i was on m computer. just all of a sudden i felt so extremely tired like i was drugged. since then i have been sleeping more and more along with tossing and turning and getting up to pee 2 times a night which is very unusual for me. there are other weird things going on with me as well but those are the mains ones that made me go...wait a minute.
mind you this is only in the last 2 weeks. and i'm 39 now. so i'm kinda scared.

Maybe its just me growing up seeing my older sister's relationship with my mother but , well, i don't like the idea of being peers. Never have. I've watched my sister go out with my mom to bars and drink even. But in my minds eye..shes my mom you don't do that. And i guess seeing their relationship like that kinda of demeaned her in my eyes too. i dunno..like i said its prolly due to the way i grew up but yeah..shes my mom not my best friend. lol.

You can't have Canadian credit history tied to US credit history. You can have Canadian credit history influence US credit availability, though. Once you get that started you start building the US history.

The only thing making this bearable is my new puppy i rescued from the hi kill chicago animal control shelter. She is just such a love bug and cute and adorable and huggable.

technically you are supposed to notify them withing 10 TEN days of your move, also the sponsor who filled out the i-864 needs to advise them as well withing 30 days using form i-865. Otherwise you risk your residency.

as for multiple addresses its not problem, just attach a supplemental sheet with your name a# and question number, and detail where when how long you lived at each address.

I had this problem and thankfully it was found about 3 years before my medical! I had documentation provided proving it was nothing and they didn't find anything anyway. I can't for the life of me remember the name. It came about around the same time that I found out I had a cyst on my ovary (possibly caused by the same hormonal issues).
carolineden11, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just go see your doctor. If it is nothing, then just get the documentation from your doctor and bring it with you to the medical. I had a cyst on my ovary that was benign and just got removed like 5 days ago. Since I had that documentation, they were able to approve my medical.
Try not to worry too much until you see your doctor. Trust me. I worried a ton and lost weight and sleep and was so on edge for 2 weeks about the lumps they found on my breasts and it was nothing.

I just want to bump this to stress how ridiculously stupid USCIS is with their own rules. oh and USPS also.
Since i did my AOC and got my green card i've moved twice. Both times i filed the online ar-11, which according to their site is all you have to do now. The first time i did it, i also had to mail a copy to DHS. well apparently they must sleep at their desks. I just got a letter dated SEPTEMBER 9TH, delivered to my address from 2010.
It would seem that they never updated my address, for ANY of my moves. le sigh. Davids confirmation of change of address, had the correct address on it, but for some reason the mail man delivered it to our old address, then it got sent back to uscis, then finally got sent to my last address, which is davids parents place, and they gave it to us. you can see on the original uscis letter it has the correct addy, plus two stickers with diff addies on it and the envelope has two USPS stickers with different addresses.
so not only does uscis not know ####### they are doing, neither does the post office. May mail it seems has been going around the state due to this. Doesn't the post office update the changes of address records and deleted the old ones? why are they forwarding mail to my addy two moves again? good grief. just shut them down already...such stupidity.
and of couse today is a holiday for uscis but no one else it seems, so i cannot fix this today. argh.
BTW, the letter was a one page paragraph reminding me to file for ROC. i thought they were not sending out reminders about this? AND, it says i entered the USA on january 2011, which is way wrong..it was april 2010 with my k1. so i'm confused about this. do they now ignore that date and use the day you became a permanent resident? all my changes of address i ever did or any forms i ever filled out had my actual POE date on them. Now i'm confused.

The only experience i have is that when i owed money, they took it off my next tax return refund. Since you are not in Canada, just keep making paymetns as you normally do. From what i've understood they should not take it from your EI.

Ya google talk is what i used during our K1 process, but it only works if you both on the pc and click call. There is not actual number to call you just click on the name. My family up north is not exactly tech savvy, and they dont even have computers let alone cell phones unless its for work. I need an actual line that they can call in case of an emergency and i need to be able to call them. Same with Davids parents and his grandparents who are in Florida.
The only reason i haven't 100% decided on Vonage or one of those is based on if there is a power failure. What happens then? I have no hone at all. Im thinking our best bet is to try and get a preaid cell, and see if tmobile can give us back our old numbers. Its only been a couple months, and those numbers we never got calls on at all.

Right but if they do get thsi suposed EAD or w/e you want to equate it to..wouldn't that then mean in the eyes of the law (well federal i guess) that they would be legal?i mean..i would rather they got a dl and insurance rather than drive without it and hit me and then cost even more money.

the biometrics appt has nothing really to do with your rfe or any of the process. they are just there to take your fingerprints and photos thats it. they can't even answer any questions you have either. Hopefully its just a minor RFE. good luck.

you should be able to open a bank account anywhere just with your passport. who refused you? any non us citizen can have a bank account here.

See i'm liek this took. i always say i got this at THE walmart or The whatever store it is. I do the same with highways..county roads. you take THE I-90...my husband will lookit me funny too and be like..Kim..its just I-90..no THE...course i jsut screw up my face at him and re say it again teh way I want to lol.

A great many people have trouble expressing their deepest emotions face to face. Yes, they are young, but if texting and email give them a comfort zone for truly expressing themselves then go for it.
I know a great many "senior" men who never learned to verbalize their feelings. And a great many women of all ages who start to talk and then break down in heaps of tears and cannot get their thoughts out to the other.
