well i sent it 2 weeks 2day! and all i know it cud be anywhere in the embassy! 3 to 5 days ya right!

We had to send in additional docs to get the visa and im still waiting for my passport!

Well they tell you how long its gonna take but it take longer! You phone all the phone lines as you can you cant get a answer to wont you want so you get the email code to email them and there email you back with bulls**t! You dont know when its gonna come... people have thing sorted out to do stuff eg: wedding, working.
Well im just slowly going crazy waiting but its all good when we get to where we want to! Its only a few more days to wait well iv already waited them few more day!

Congrats on all recent interview approvals, awesome news!
I'm still waiting on my visa, 2 weeks and 2 days so far...I only had to send in my mother-in-law's proof of nationality and that went in on April 29th, they had it on May 1st, so 12 days ago now. The lady at the interview said they were processing in 4 working days, so I'm quite concerned. I phoned the extortion line yesterday and spent 4.80 pounds finding out they didn't know anything about any cases that were "post-interview", so I should only call them once a month has passed, which really sucks as I was due to start my new job last week. I found the email on the wiki and emailed them like 30 minutes ago (can't sleep!) and got a reply stating they'd deleted my email without reading it...I also sent the same email to SCSLondon AT state.gov. I didn't get a deleted response from that, but I don't think it's the correct department....so fingers crossed there is a good samaritan that will just let me know what's going on.

I didn't realise you were from Taunton too....
It might be worth calling DOS instead of the extortion line. Their number is 202-663-1225.They will be able to look at the current status when you call (IE: Confirm they have recieved additional information and it is being processed) When you email London you have to input a code or your emails will get deleted without being read. You can call the extortion line to find out the current code.
Also bear in mind there was a public holiday just after you sent the information back, so essentially it's been 7 working days. There are a few people here experiencing delay's with regard to getting their passports back too.
I hope you can find something out soon.

Im going thought the same thing I sent my off on the 1st and they got it on the 5th because of May Day. I know it hard but what can you really do..... not much you can do about it, all you can do is wait (plus i hate the word wait that all iv heard off family and friend :@) Plus every night i get less and less sleep, every night i think am i going to get a txt 2mor or not :| (plus my hopeful wedding is on the 24th of this month and that my mum and sis are waiting to get plane tickets too)

one other thing when i phone the courier will they pick it up same day? and when i do send it wot do i need to put on the envelop and do i need to put in the blue piece of paper?

Hi, I had to send docs back last week too. I called the courier at lunchtime on Thursday and they said they were unable to collect the same day, i'm not sure if its because it was too late then or if they can't do same day collections? So they collected Friday and delivered it Monday! The embassy will not accept courier'd items the same day for security reasons. So my docs were delivered yesterday and it was logged onto the system today, but no approval just yet, fingers crossed I will get it tomorrow!!

Alix dad who is the co-sponsor miss understood Q11 and put i do not intend instead of i do intendOh no!
Our co-sponsor said "do intend" and specificed room and board for a few months, but my fiance said "do not intend" as it asked for 'specific contributions' and duration etc.. considering the text on the form says that the sponsor is agreeing to generally support me, I didn't think we MUST tick that box??
We also only have a birth certificate as proof of US citizenship for the co-sponsor. Since when did they ask for passports only?
Alix didnt tick a box and put N/A as applying for K1 and i think the co-sponsor has to intend.

What was wrong with the 134 if you don't mind me asking? Just to stop any possible delays..
Why do they need driving license and passport? We only have a birth certificate for the co-sponsor, if that will suffice..
Sorry to hear that you and Tom are no longer together, Laura. I'm glad to hear that you're putting things into perspective and getting your life back after waiting so long. Having a nice new flat will be really good for you.

:dance: @paul. : I am wondering the same thing as Gemmie, I have included a copy of the bio page of co-sponsor's passport as well as a copy of the naturalization certificate of the co-sponsor to prove that the co-sponsor is a USC. But I did not know that you needed TWO proofs for proving that the co-sponsor is a USC? Were you specifically told what documents the co-sponsor should send you to prove that he/she is a USC???
@Alixhilary: As Gemmie asked, we would also like to know what you mean by "there were a few things wrong with the I-134". It would help the rest of us not make the errors if you would like to share what was wrong with your forms

WE WERE APPROVED!!!!! however, there was a few things wrong with out i-134 form so we have to re-submit them to the embassy but once they go to the embassy with his passport-- he will finally be off to the states!!! I can hardly wait!!! thank you all for your support! and I'm sure we will be on more once we apply for our AOS

when having a Co-Sponcor do you need to provide their Birth certificates?? and do I as the sponcor supply a birth certificate even if in my I-129f I submitted my passport??
and MUST I have a bank statement along with my 2008 taxes along with proof of employment??

we checked everything on the list (that applied to us) and sent it last monday, even though we are still waiting for the police certificate to arrive (we sent it out on 10 march. cheque was cashed on 17 march, so we are expected it soon.) and i havent sent the materials for the affidavit of support yet to my UKC (this week i hope.)
you really should/MUST have all of those things listed on the checklist (that apply to you) in hand at the interview. but i think it is generally acknowledged that it is okay to send back the checklist saying you do have them all, as long as you feel confident that you will have them by the time the interview rolls around.
i believe they will not schedule and interview without a complete checklist.

You don't send any of your documents/passport/etc back with Packet 3. You take them all to the interview with you. I was confused about the 'complete in duplicate' thing with the DS forms, so I just sent all 4 of them back in duplicate. Worked fine, haha.
So yeah. Just the forms and the checklist from the list Magpie posted
So i jst send bk the copys of the DS forms? Plus i dont have my police certificate yet i only sent off for it monday will the be a problem? I jst wanna make sure im doing it right!

Yep, just the DS forms and the checklist. As long as you have the police report/other supporting docs before your interview you'll be fine
so i send it off and dont tick that i have to police report and that be ok?

Depending on whether you have a K-1 or K-3 visa (or otherwise), the forms you need for your visa can be found and downloaded from here. Your Packet 3 should explain which ones you need to fill in.

Both my fiance and I are a bit nervous about getting all paperwork done and complete-- BUT we also keep reading all this information and now we are just getting confused-- So I'm wondering what EXACTLY my Fiance needs to bring and do for the interview at the embassy. I feel like eveytime I think I get it-- I read something else and get confused.
Here's what I believe what's going on
I received the NOA2
I'm waiting for the NVC letter and I will be sending off all info to him including the i-134 and new supporting evidence
He put in for the police report but that's it for now-- what else does he need to do to be prepared??
Thank you to all for the info-- we just want to do this right.

Well the wedding is on sunday!
Our visa has taken 7 months! wont i was on about was waiting for the embassy to send me my visa back!
