  1. ‘Rat tours’ boom in rodent-infested New York Rat tourism become latest must-experience trend in city besieged by infestations that affect residents’ quality of life https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/sep/04/new-york-city-rats-tourism As visitors to New York demand rat action, some of the city’s tour guides have begun to add stops at notoriously infested sites, the New York Post reported this week. It means that rat tourism is fast becoming a boom industry. Kenny Bollwerk, who built a TikTok following by posting videos from around New York, stumbled upon being a rodent guide when he spent “an hour or two” live-streaming rats running around outside a building site in Sunnyside, Queens. “I was like: ‘Damn, this is bad’,” he said. “People are walking by, there’s rats running across people’s feet, there’s piles of trash on the sidewalk.” The response from his viewers was huge. Bollwerk, 36, said more than 10,000 people tuned in live to watch the rats. Bollwerk, who doesn’t like rats, said his intention was to prod the city into coming and getting rid of the rodents. He put out a plea for people to complain to the city’s 311 service, where individuals can complain about rat infestations, and it worked.
  2. I assume most people who visit the US do not have any US connections. Do not have anyone who could even if it was possible sponsor. They apply on their own merits. Last time I looked the wait to get a B appointment was nearing 2 years in Mumbai.
  3. You cannot sponsor a B at anytime, would all be down to her, I have seen B's approved when the I 130 is processing, does not seem very common. Realistically would she get an interview for a B before her Immigrant Visa interview?
  4. You seem confused about your immigration history judging from your prior thread. Have you worked out what happened?
  5. I have never seen a case where a Sponsor has been pursued by the Government. Now there are plenty of cases where the Beneficiary has/ I still cannot get my head around using a Beneficiaries assets when it is the Sponsor that will need to cough up. But then logic and Immigration rarely coincide.
  6. Certainly would not surprise me if they want a joint sponsor on the scenario you described
  7. CAA does not require US relatives or to enter on Humanitarian Parole.
  8. https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ Choose your Consulate and go https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wait-times.html Put in your Consulate to find out wait time.
  9. Usually through marriage, well on here, depends on what options they have.

  11. Assuming it is 2008 PD none are current.
  12. F1 Immigrant visa is 10 to 12 years. Starts with filing an I 130 see Guides here for full details. F1 Student is a non immigrant visa with usually a fairly short wait for an interview appointment.
  13. I am not denying that. But U4U gives people eligible a lot of benefits compared to a tourist visa. The main downside is that it is single entry, it used to be pretty quick, but now seems to be taking 90 days.
  14. I assume significant other.
  15. It means you are not interviewed.
