Just give a green card to the DACA kids, build the wall (so there will be no more - or many less - DACA kids in the future), reform immigration system (no lottery, more limits on chain migration, heavy scrutiny for some countries) and everyone should be happy.
Of course, I have a feeling that come Feb 8, there will be another shutdown.

I don't know. It's a pretty accurate definition of '****hole country' to me.

    So you never cursed before?
This was supposed to be a private conversation.
Would you live in Haiti if you had the opportunity? Do you think it's a well-functioning country? I don't even know how many billions of dollars were thrown there and nothing improved. It actually got worse. The victims are Haitians people, but where did the money go? No wonder the Haitian ambassador got offended, he was probably personally involved.

We don't know what past Presidents and Senators said in private meetings.
Politicians used to have dignity back then and did not disclose conversations held in private meetings.

Haitians would probably be the first one to confirm.
    I hate the PC madness.

True, but some countries can be considered ****holes as whole, unfortunately.
And that has nothing to do with being a beautiful or ugly place. Some extremely beautiful countries are ****holes, in my opinion.

There is nothing wrong to say that some countries are ****holes, it's just the truth.
People living in those countries are just victims of corrupt regimes/politicians/societies.
There is no reason to get offended.
Let's be a bit more pragmatic.
No one would ever choose to live in those countries, that's why there are so many immigrants from there.

Anyone (of any race) exploting race (any race)
When was the last time that KKK killed someone?
Put two hooded white people outside a polling place and let's see what happens.
Reality is that anyone even mentioning race in politics especially is in bad faith.

Or that older white man beaten by a bunch of black kids the day after Trump won. They were screaming "he's a Trump voter" and beat him up.
Now do the opposite... put a bunch of white rednecks in middle America beating a black person and screaming "he's a Hillary voter"... I think we would still talk about it on the news a year later.

The point is that we don't know what Trump said, no one of us was in that room. It is just speculation and Haiti was the main culprit.
I honestly really don't care, my kids are a mix of italian, russian, jewish, latino (this is what I know of) and they came out pretty well. We are too sensitive about race today (and politicians play a crucial role, just to gain a few votes) and that is too bad.

I am sick and tired of it. Things must be said the way they are.
When the US Ambassador to the US said they would have taken names and a few days after cut the US payment to the UN, I was ecstatic.

So let's just say Haiti (and many other countries) is an extremely corrupt, ran by criminals, forgotten-by-god country.
Would that make you feel better? Is it more PC?

So only KKK people are racist? I've witnessed attacks on white kids by a mob of angry black kids, just because they were white. That never makes the news, although it happens all the time in NY or LA.
In London, there used to be hunting games against Italians (or someone else).
In Russia let's just say it's not really cool even if you're a non-Slavic white person (forget about being black, and there are many).

I mentioned JFK and Reagan to make two examples (both parties) of two Presidents widely respected and with great accomplishments.
And no, I don't assume anything. I give everyone the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.
And yes, ratting out private conversations (at any level) is a great sign of low character to me.
I found America to be much less racist than most European countries (including my own country). What are the racist ideals you refer to? Segregation? That's long over. Don't forget that people in Europe were literally exterminating each other no later than 73 years ago.

True. He said those words (if he said those words) in a private meeting.
Political opponents took them public (if not outright lied, we will never know) for their own interest.
This is why I hate career politicians, on both sides.
I want someone who speaks frankly, whether I agree with him/her or not.

I happen to do this for a living (intl tax and especially inbound taxation).
Check with your financial advisor whether the funds made a QEF election, that would help a lot.
If not, check your positions. If they are loss positions in USD, I recommend to liquidate them asap. Either way, you'd have to file a form 8621 for each PFIC.
If they are taxed under sec 1291, all excess distributions (and cap gains are all excess distributions) are taxed at 39.6% and you'll be charged interest spreading on the holding period.

mmmm... having a baby together is usually the best way to prove the marriage was legit...
Could it be that the marriage went sour and now you are seeking for some revenge?
Wouldn't it be better to have him in the US to help (financially or whatnot) supporting the child?
Just saying.... people who commit marriage fraud tend not to have kids...
