This is a wonderful idea.
I think we should do it.
But how?
If it is possible in any way, I would be more than happy to help.

Congratulations Akiko! It's always great to throw people out of this club!!
Lets hope for a smooth journey from now on!
Thank you!

Thank you sooo much everybody.
Good luck to those who still haven't gotten approvals. It'll come when you least expect it.
Also good luck to those who have gotten approvals but not the visa yet... we're almost there!
God bless you all.

Wow I didn't know about this. We're in our 7th month of waiting. My fiance called last month but they only told him that they're doing things in order and we're just going to have to wait. Should we try calling again?
sorry, dont know your story, have u contacted ur congressman? they got right back to me and soon after we got approved...not sure if they had anything to do with it...but cant hurt.
We got approved a little after 7 months. I wish u all the best! I know this is agony! Stay strong! You'll get it soon!
Thanks.
This whole thing is frustrating but I'm sure its all worth it.
Hi Akiko,
So sorry to see that you are still waiting for NOA2. I remember comparing notes with you, since we started our time lines at identical times: You sent your I-129F on Sep 6 and was received at CSC on Sep 11. We sent ours (also to CSC) on Sep 5, received on Sep 10. If they told you that they are processing files "in order", well that CLEARLY is untrue, and so unfair to think that people well into 2009 are getting approved while you are waiting (that goes for all the 6+ month-ers here, of course!)
You will get approved. And your case will move forward. Don't lose heart!
Thank you so much for the encouragement and support!
We just got ours approved on the 16th and my fiance received the NOA2 on the 20th.
I just things speed up from here on, although they take forever for everything...
Best wishes for you from here on.
congratulations

I got approved!
I'm on the phone with my fiance right now, and he's telling me how he got the approval notice in the mail!
OMG, I can't believe it. I'm so happy, I'm in tears....
After 7 and a half long months.
Thank you for all the support and good luck to everyone on here.

Ok...service request: After your case is past standard processing times (California was 6months not sure about Vermont) you call USCIS customer service who will then tell you that you have to wait another 30days before you can call back & enquire.
Then, after this 30 days is up, you call back & they will put in a "service request". Basically, they will look into your case & write to you within 45 days (ours took a week or so) with an update. With ours, they told us we were in 'additional background checks'.
Don't worry, most people don't have to wait as long as we did. Good Luck

Yes definitely, although they wont do anything until you've waited 7 months. Then ask them for a service request as they might not volunteer that it's available to you.
I hope your NA02 comes before that though. Good Luck.
Thank you for the information. We will try calling again. God bless you.

I havent been around much, so I thought I would finally work up the nerve to try to read through all I missed and see how everyone was doing. Turns out I didnt miss many posts, but I would like to hear how everyone is doing.
Karri - Do you have an update? Should have been this week right?
Tahoma - Did you get the visa?
Adiiann - Hang in there. I may be the only person with a longer outlook than you.
Benika - Did you get the police reports and interviewed scheduled yet?
Bigticket77 - How did the interview go?
Akiko - Are you still waiting for NOA2? (I am still waiting on Tokyo - since early January)
UScanDual - did you ever get out of AP?
darwinsfinch - how did the interview go?
Sweettiebaby - are you in the US yet? Congrats to you!
probablyamerican - Goodluck! soon, real soon.
dogspot - Congratulations.
For me, I am still waiting for an interview in Tokyo for Grace. It appears I am going to have to request to move the case to Manila because our baby will be born in June, so time is running out for travel. I expect that to further delay things for the transfer and then more of a delay if our baby is born there - then I need to get the baby a passport. I may have to cancel depending on timing, maybe just get married and start over.
I have been stuck in AP in Tokyo almost as long as it took to get NOA2 from USCIS - remember all that waiting (sorry Akiko, maybe ur still waiting)? This is torture.
The good news is, I have been so depressed and negative about it, I no longer have high expectations, but I am somehow OK with that. I know someday, somehow, we will be together. Even if it takes another year or two.
I am also starting to cheer up because I leave for Japan next Friday to see her. If I cant get the interview in the 2 weeks while I am there, I will help her move to the Philippines and spend another week with her. So at least I will get 3 weeks with her soon.
yes I'm still waiting on my NOA2. I don't know whats taking so long. Its almost been 7 months.
My fiancee called USCIS but didn't seem to help us at all.
Its taking forever.
I just want to be with him already...
Good luck to you as well!
-
So is there anyone else left here besides me? (and Sara
)
Unfortunately, I'm still here too.
Maybe USCIS should have a line from Dante's Inferno "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here" printed on top of their application forms. It surely feels like that to me.
193 days since we submitted the petition. I know it's nothing in comparison to some people here... I'm just about coping, hanging on an increasingly thinner thread of hope with each day passing. How are rest of you making it through? I've filled every waking minute of my day with something to do (and I work 10 hours day) even to the point that I started making jewellery but I still wake up crying...
I'm with you.
I've been waiting for over 6 months.
i don't know how I'm making it through... but its been pretty crazy lately.
Hope things go well for you. Best wishes.
-
congratulations of all of you.
I'm still waiting on mine. Almost 6 months.
Hopefully its soon.
Akiko,
Once you get your NOA2, I hope your interview goes faster than ours. We got NOA2 in Dec, Tokyo Embassy received in January and we are still waiting for them to approve us to interview.
Thanks.
I heard Tokyo Embassy takes a long time. But I didn't know it took that long.
I really hope you're approved soon!
God bless and best wishes.

Its almost been 6 months for me too.
And i filed at CSC.
My fiancee called, but it didn't help us at all. Maybe the person who picked up the phone wasn't sincere.
I say call them and see whats up, its worth try.
Good luck to you.
-
congratulations of all of you.
I'm still waiting on mine. Almost 6 months.
Hopefully its soon.
-
I've been waiting since September.
I didn't know about VJ until a couple months since we sent in our papers.
I hope all of us gets approved soon. This process and waiting is painful, but all worth it when you're reunited with your love.
-
Congratulations!
I'm a Sept filer at CSC and still haven't gotten my NOA2. I really hope its soon...
Good luck with the rest of your journey.
-
I'm almost at 5 months... just anxious waiting for it...
-
We got APPROVED today!!!
Congratulations!
-
Congratulations!
I'm still waiting on mine... Trying to stay hopeful and sane hahah.
Good luck on the rest of the journey!

It is amazing how fast some petitions from CSC are being approved especially the Oct and early Nov filers. This is great!
But has anyone noticed the appearance that the late Aug and early and or mid Sept petitions have been skipped over?
This system is crazy. It would be good if some reporter with credentials would do a story on this system and how it works. If the they (USCIS) would allow it?
The " We process the petitions in the order we recieve them" is hogwash. And if you look this site can prove it.
If they would be more transparent people would be more at ease. I go thru these lists and feel for some of the filers who are waiting for approval after 4 monthes while others are approved in 80 days.
I dont feel all of the ones waiting are in Administrative Processing or whatever they call it. I think it is an unorganized mess.
Now that you mention it, it may be true. I'm an early Sept. filer and I still haven't gotten my NOA2.
I'm happy for those who have gotten approvals. I know the feeling of anxiety just waiting to hear something from the USCIS. I just wonder how the system works over there...
-
Congratulations!
I'm still waiting on mine...
-
Congratulations to those who did get approvals.
I really hope ours will get approved soon.
-
I'm new here. But I have been reading forums for awhile now.
I'm also an September filer, haven't been approved yet though.
And I'm really anxious reading everyone's approvals.
I really hope we get our NOA2 soon...
Congratulations to everyone that did!
You will, you will, you will..... hopefully as soon as tomorrow!!
Your timeline is almost identical to ours: you are
I-129F Sent : 2008-09-06
I-129F NOA1 : 2008-09-11
Our dates were 09-05 (sent) and 09-10 (NOA1). We got approved today, stands to reason you're in the next batch to go.
Hang in there.... yesterday I felt the same anxiety and desperation you must be feeling now... it all lifts in an instant when you get that wonderful email from CRIS telling you it's approved
Hang in there!
Thank you for the encouragement! I really hope we get approved soon!
And congratulations! Good luck from here on
All Japan Filers

Hi everyone.
I didn't know a regional forum existed til now.
I filed in September and I finally got my NOA2 a week ago.
Right now, I'm trying to gather all the documents needed for the interview.
So the documents must be translated to English. Does anyone know where I can go to get them translated?
And, my fiance plans to be here for the interview. Should I still provide as much evidence of relationship as I should if he wasn't coming with me?
Its really nice to know that there is a forum for Japan. Because there really aren't Japan filers on the main forums.
Thank you!
