You aren't eligible because you are no longer a resident of Canada. Yes they will ask for their money back. It would be wise to repay them as soon as possible.
Most of my family was supportive... except my dad. He still tries to convince me to move back to Canada, and is kinda rude to my husband. I'm sad that my dad and I don't have a good relationship anymore, basically because he doesn't realize that I've grown up and can make big girl decisions.
I got my green card today. Looks pretty neat, I was trying to count how many times it says my bday, there's at least 4 places! It's actually green now, but you all probably know that by now

What people here are telling you is the truth. It might not be the nicest thing in the world, but it's the truth. Most (or all) of the people who have responded to your questions have gone through the K-1 or spousal visa process and we know how stressful it can be.
Remember this is a public forum and people can say what they please. Also other people can read what you're writing even if they don't respond or aren't signed up to the website. Be careful about what you type. It's happened in the past that the people at the Montreal consulate know who you are just by your timeline and if you say anything insulting, they can make your life even harder.
Keep your head up, and one good rule to follow on the internet is : don't take ANYTHING personally.

I read somewhere that you can do removal of conditions on your own if you can prove you entered into the marriage in good faith.

So, my mom's in town... YAY! Except she brought her friend with her and her friend is SUPER selfish. Last night her friend said "we're going to Olive Garden tomorrow night" and I said "Oh, who's we?" and she said "Oh just me and your mom"... Then last night when they were leaving I asked my mom when she wanted to go shopping today (she wants to buy me a new outfit) and my mom said "in the morning" and her friend said "Well, we want to go for a swim first!!!". You know what? Screw you mom's friend. You can go swimming anytime at pools, I don't get to see my mom very often. If she really wants to go for a swim she can go and my mom and I can go shopping.
So basically my mom's here this weekend, but it looks like I'm not going to get to see her much.
