In general the applicant will not need to undergo a medical, all the forms are the same for each US Embassy however the procedures for the process do very. I would recommend you email them and ask. SanaaACS@state.gov.
My tip would be read the US Embassy link for Sana'a Yemen CRBA
http://yemen.usembassy.gov/yemen/birth_abroad.html
The USD Fee for the CRBA . US Embassy link for Sana'a Yemen

By the way, my wife Chinook is from Bacolod. Chinook has traveled to Cebu and back by bus. She's also flown there and back. It's really not dangerous at all. The flight from Bacolod to Cebu takes less than an hour.
I do agree both my wife and I 'alone' at times have done it . Takes only an hour from Tacloban to Manila by plane.
By the way my wife is from Baliran, by Tocloban.....Go Visayas
Scott...Thanks for posting your experience.
No problem...

I'm pretty sure she can get a replacement passport in her maiden name without having a CFO certificate. Have you checked into it?
My wife did.

OP, change your Filed for: Naturalization (approved) to IR-1-CR-I
-
Thanks for your replies. Still confused wether guam or honolulu will be my poe.
Hope its honolulu as i have plenty of layover time there.
Your first stop is in Guam, Guam is the territory of the US therefore it will be your POE not Honolulu, Hawaii.

I should have been a little clearer in my post so will do so now. Some of the cities in the NCR ( National Capital Region ) will NOT ENTERTAIN the marriage between a US citizen and a filipina. If the girlfriend is from one of these cities they will have to apply else where. Two of the cities that will reject you for sure are Makati and Quezon City. I'm only submitting this so they don't waste their time going there.

If your fiancee is in the PI, change your Filed for: Naturalization (approved) to K-1
What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2): http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

The one other thing that should be pointed out is the fact that you should apply in the city of your wife's residence and the problem you can run into in Manila is that some of the cities there will not recognize the Legal Capacity issued by the embassy and they will not get a marriage license from them.
"The American citizen must then obtain the affidavit of legal capacity upon arrival in the Philippines and file it immediately with the civil registrar where the fiancée applied for the marriage license"

I am wanting to be present for the medical and the interview.
Is that ok?
You’ll need to wait outside ’hours’ each day for the Med. but you certainly can attend the interview. Timeline is difficult to judge as when completion of the medical, CFO and most importantly delivery of the visa after the interview approval. If you have time, I’m sure your SO would appreciate the support.
Don’t book any flights until she has the visa in hand!

Good morning =))
Just like a couple of others stated, I've already visited the U.S. Embassy and had my Fiance' come in with me. So I'm going to try and bring her with me =))
Now, when I go to city hall with LCM in hand, I'm assuming I'll need the marriage license in hand before we can have the civil wedding. Right?
And where do I get in contact with someone that can marry us? Is that also available at the City Hall? Or is there another process in the Philippines that I have to follow? Here in the states we can get married at City Hall and a "Justice of the Peace" is who usually marries you. How does it work in the Philippines?
Thanks again for all your help =))
btw.....any idea's for places to go for a honeymoon? I was looking at the white beach in Puerto Galera. Another other nice places to hit & visit while I'm there this time. I'll be there from March 4th to March 31st.
Yes, you can get married at city hall or, example.
My wife and I had a simple civil wedding at her home, what we did was go to the local civil register apply for the marriage lic. The lady who helped us set up the minister and all the paper work. At the wedding she and the Minster came over, had the ceremony then 10 days later we went back to civil register signed the marriage lic. done deal.
The "process in the Philippines that I have to follow?" The link given in the upper post should have answered this question.
THE MARRIAGE APPLICATION PROCESS:
Once the person has the affidavit, he/she can file the application for a marriage license at the office of the local Philippine Civil Registrar of the town or city where one of the parties is a resident. The U.S. citizen applicant will need to present the affidavit, death certificate or divorce decree as mentioned above, U.S. passport, and documentation regarding parental consent or advice if applicable. Marriage applicants who are age 18 to 21 must have parental consent in writing, those age 21 to 25 must have written parental advice (a written indication that the parents are aware of the couple's intent to marry). The revised Family Code of the Philippines, which took effect on August 4, 1988, prohibits marriage for individuals below the age of 18.
Normally there is a ten-day waiting period before the marriage license is issued by the registrar's office. In some instances the fiancée may apply in advance for the marriage license with the local civil registrar. The American citizen must then obtain the affidavit of legal capacity upon arrival in the Philippines and file it immediately with the civil registrar where the fiancée applied for the marriage license. A marriage license cannot be obtained by a fiancée without presence of the prospective spouse.
The marriage can be performed by a judge, justice of the peace, priest, or minister of religion.

My fiance was allowed to enter the embassy while I got my legal capacity to marry.

hi sjr09, about BI exit fees,,, for example, we'll be getting the crba/us passport this month and my baby is 2 yo by the way,,, then by May is our flight. Do we still have BI exit fees or penalties if we don't get PI passport? thank u!
Simple to understand.....
If you have your child's PI passport before departure 'no' BI exit fees will apply. If you don't have the PI passport when the child leaves the Philippines then you will incur fees, at age two the cost would be a lot. Simplify it all by acquiring the child's PI passport.
On a good note (the last time I checked) age 0-2, can get a waiver for PI airport travel fees.

The government always gets their money back. If he's entitled to refund when he files his taxes, they'll use that money to satisfy the loan.
I don't think it will affect the petition. What will affect it is the amount your fiancé makes. If it's not above 125% above the poverty line, you'll have a problem. I've read previously that Manila doesn't allow co-sponsors...
They do case by case.

Ok, just complete the DS-5507 form to the best of your knowledge.
-
as far as i know. it would not make any difference which comes first. US Embassy would not need the Philippine passport of your baby.
You just have to apply for the PI passport before you leave for the US. to avoid paying more fees
You are correct as USEM would not need the PI passport and to avoid paying B.I. exit fees. However it has been my experiences in talking with others and confirming thru PI immigrations that if you apply after the child acquires his/her CRBA/US passport the child will be required to undergo the oath ceremony, adding more time/humbug to the process. I recommend getting the PI passport first. My wife and I was in and out of the BI office, with no hassles.

I'm soon going to have the interview at the embassy and I would like to know if the consul will verify the dates of trips listed on the application? I have all documents supporting my permanency; but there is a weekend trip(two days), for which i dont have the exact dates and I wont put it on the applciation. will they double check or verify if there is a missing date listed?
Are you the US citizen applying for the CRBA?
-
I would assume anything is possible, include the trip they will understand that you might not be able to remember each and every time you have entered and exited the U.S just complete the form to the best of your knowledge.

What kind of proof can I provide that I lived in the states my whole life. I'm 27 and have been living in Egypt for past year and soon to have a baby. What are the steps to get my new born daughter her US Citizenship? How long does it take if I have all the necessary documents? Any info is much help. Thanks
Schedule an appointment may very who knows what time slot is available? You need to spend some time and research your local embassy requirements.

I have my High school Diploma, I have my Junior School ID cards, I have my Passport stating I was born in california, I have online Bank Statements. I was always dependent so I don't really have anything under my name.
Although the forms are the same for every US Embassy, the procedures, forms and documents required from each embassy very. It's not a one size fits all process as I can personally say more then my US passport was requested at time of my child's CRBA for my embassy, this can apply for your local embassy as well?
Include the above in bold and any other proof you may have don't relay on only one document. If you have doubt always email your local embassy and ask

yeah, i have already her BC.. i only have ultrasounds and prenatal records, so,, i thought of getting affdavit saying or proving or having witness of my baby's birth... but maybe ultrasounds and prenatal records would be enough ryt?.... thank u for the reply life'sjourney ;-)
I doubt an affidavit would help in providing credible evidence i.e. ‘blood relationship’ with the child and the US citizen parent, but you can include it.
original marriage certificate
Photos child and US parent together
Childs NSO BC
Ultrasounds
Baptismal with parents name on it

Yes, there are bad women everywhere - all over the world. There are also good women all over the world. WE SHOULD NEVER GENERALIZE OUR PERCEPTION / CONCLUSION.
I hope next time when we give comments or posts here, we should always be careful of our words as we all come from different cultures / nationalities -- please try not to OFFEND anyone. And, perhaps, it would be very good if we make negative comments, with should be able to support it with good research findings or with an accurate and valid data. Thank you and God bless everyone.
Thank you for the above in red, affirming my comment, If you wish I’ll be more then happy in backing it up with 'research findings or with an accurate and valid data." but you’ll look foolish when I'm done.

Pre-natal care records, pictures are just the tip of the iceberg. BTW both parents don’t need to be present in photos when the child is born.
