To me the term means it did not qualify yet.
probably a load of cases need to be scheduled for an interview and yours was not one of them, so might be scheduled for the next month when they start the process.

best of luck for the medical and further process down the road!

so, that means i go first, and then i sponsor him?
would be neat, and what's faster though?
i'm just really getting down on all this, i knew i had my work cut out for me when i started this process and yeah were not even finished with NVC, but i'm just thinking ahead in case, God forbid, sh$t goes down and they deny him or whatever...
and it just seems that they got a vendetta against ME men nowadays....which is sad, yeah i understand it in some sense, but it still isn't cool.
You can go first and sponsor him if you are a Canadian permanent resident or Citizen - I think L179 is a bit confused.
Anyway, you might want to look here Immigrating as a worker: am I eligible? - it is an interactive tool on the Canadian immigration website.
I agree, its only if Canadian PR or citizen, I was just saying that their process is quicker than US.

Tough question about how many. I think all males and few females, the list is long! AP is unaccountable, however seems they are moving quicker down the list. So good luck

Definately a really homely and romantic environment would be nice.
You don't wanna just jump into s*x, but rather build the environment and you will feel like it even if prego!
You might wanna focus on one area where you will sit and catch up. Maybe get a few scented candles. A few flowers around the room, balloons reading out 'welcome'. play some soft music. Surely he will be jet lagged, but at the same time, I am sure he is probably as excited as you are if not more. Seeing SOs others face takes off a lot of weariness. I few snacks, to munch on while you are chatting. Keep the environment ready for when you bring him home from the airport.
Surely, the new flooring and curtains won't hit him till he sleeps and wakes up, but the warmth in his welcome would definately make him feel at home, apart from your arms!

Definately, there is no harm in taking anything that is packed. Maybe chocolates, cookies, mithai (sealed box) etc

truthonlyplz....thats great news!!! congratulations!!!

Whidbeygirl...from what I understand is for those averaging around 2.4 days.....their AP is a day or two long.
As in they probably don't go through all the checks maybe only one....
But per what my husbands friend told us was every applicant has AP even if its cleared the same day.

definately...but depends which route.
you could apply by profession, if they are in need of that profession...
or even spousal immigration, either way they do complete the process quicker.

you dont' have to send it...
just take it with you to the interview...when they ask, submit it

you can only contact the USCIS....cant contact a local center...
-
if you go to the USCIS website and register yourself you can see if you case has been touched if it has, and also if they post a touch on it. Sometimes you might even get an approval letter without any touches....we did.
so its not a biggie

you can email NVC for the choice of agent, soemthing you have to choose at some point.
then they can email you a check list. also the choice of agent form might be sufficient (as you said in your post)

PR can be a joint sponsor

I believe originals it is...
