    i'm in the same boat. all you can do is wait and if it takes longer than 60 days you can call. i've seen some rfe's get approval within days, weeks, and months. there's no standard. good luck! :star:

    Maybe it depends on what the RFE was for? who knows... should also include the date of your RFE request in your timeline pls :)

    OK VSC, you had a long weekend and now it's time to get back to work and approve some September people. :innocent:

    I do not want to sound like a #######, but... hehehe... looking at igors list, it appears that they are now processing october filers. Sooooo, the few remaining september filers, yea, prepare for a long wait. Seems like every month has a small group of petitioners who become overlooked for whatever reason as they roll on to the next month of cases.

    I truly hope I am wrong, and that it is a freak coincidence that of the last 20 approvals:

    10 were october NOA's

    4 were september

    4 were August

    1 june

    1 November

    So, yea, as I said, I think they are moving onto october filers now. Not saying you won't get your NOA2... you will, eventually. Just be ready to go the full 6 months and beyond now.

    Since igor's list isnt a fair representation of all the people who have filled for a K1 I wouldnt place too much weight on this, and yes we will all get our NOA2's eventually. Anywyas it looks like they have been very slow lately... and it still looks like the data is following a normal distribution.

    I got my packet 3 and I thought I had pretty much everything gathered but they are asking for the Long form of the birth certificate. I was just wondering if anyone else out there managed to get the longer version and how long it takes. Right now Montreal says the interview turn around is 4-6 months.. but how long to get the certificate? and what if my police certificates expire before then ? I got them yesterday, but what if it takes more than 6 months for the interview ? :wacko: How long are they good for ? 6 mnths or 1 yr ?

    - Also, seeing as I dont have my long version of birth cert, should I still mail the packet 3 away now anyways ? :blink:

    Get ahold of Vital Statistics in your province, i did mine on line and got it within 5 days.

    I got mine from service ontario - the registrar general

    it took a while, about 5 weeks to actually get it, and it was overpriced, $45 for one copy.

    id suggest you look into getting it asap

    but on the plus side service ontario had better customer service then the VSC, hope the quebec records people are good too

    Hi guys, I'm back on line again :).

    AmberL, so sorry to hear about your RFE. It really sucks. First you wait "forever" for the paper copy to turn up and then when you send everything back and they "touch" you every day and still nothing... We only had to tick one little box and that was it...you'd think they could make a decision by now. It is so frustrating. :bonk:

    And to think it's a national holiday in US on Monday and they won't be working AGAIN!!!! I was just wondering how many more days off will they have before we get our approvals ;)

    I can't seem to get any answers from anyone. I already got the NOA2 Jan 30 and we still have no letter for the medical or whatever we get next. Who do I call or what do I do? Just wait? Any advice is much appreciated, or nudge in the right direction :)

    from my understanding your case is likely on its way to the NVC it will probably be a while yet before your fiance hears something from the american embassy in their country. look at the graphs here below the NOA2 ones and see if that helps

    got the hardcopy today stating they need more evidence of a meeting within the past two years.........

    "Your own statements, which must include the date, place, and circumstances of your meeting (DONE), and should be supported by copies of transportation tickets (ALL I HAVE IS MY TICKET FROM PARIS TO JFK, THE FLIGHT ON WHICH WE MET), photos (FIVE), and/ or letters written to each other after your meeting (A POSTCARD FROM HIM TO ME, COPY OF HANDWRITTEN LETTER I SENT TO HIM, EMAILS). Additionally, photocopies of your and/ or your fiance passports showing exit/ entry stamps (HE'S FAXING COPIES NOW SHOWING HIS BIO AND POE AT JFK AND I'M COPYING PAGES WITH BIO AND PARIS STAMPS).

    HE DID NOT SAVE ANY PLANE TICKETS, BUT I HAVE MINE. I ALSO HAVE A HANDWRITTEN NOTE HE WROTE ME ON THE PLANE WHEN WE MET AND MY CONCERT TICKET FROM A SHOW WE SAW TOGETHER DATED DURING HIS VISIT IN AUGUST.

    Affidavits from others must identify the affiant and state the nature of the affiant's relationship to either party, set forth the basis of the affiant's knowledge, and contain a statement of the facts the affiant knows regarding your meeting.

    MY BEST FRIEND WAS ON THE PLANE WHEN WE MET. I'M DRAFTING A LETTER FOR HER TO SIGN STATING:

    * HOW SHE KNOWS ME AND HOW LONG SHE HAS KNOWN ME

    * THAT SHE WAS PRESENT DURING OUR MEETING

    * THAT SHE IS AWARE OF OUR VISIT AND WHAT WE DID

    * HER ROLE AS BRIDESMAID IN OUR WEDDING

    ANYTHING ELSE?

    ALSO, IN PREVIOUS THREADS, I THOUGHT THE RFE WOULD WANT ORIGINAL G325A FROM FOREIGN FIANCE AND HIS LETTER OF INTENT TO MARRY. SINCE THE RFE DID NOT MENTION THESE ITEMS, SHOULD I SENT THEM ANYWAY?

    THANKS FOR YOUR HELP...AND EXCUSE THE ALL CAPS TEXT, BUT I WANTED TO DIFFERENTIATE MY COMMENTS FROM USCIS.

    so in your initial submission did you include the stuff in caps in the quotations? and the other stuff in caps was the RFE stuff? sorry im just trying to compare what we sent with what you sent ... STUPID RFE

    I read the first few posts and the last few posts and nothing in between. You disgust me. You are wasting resources that could be used on people in actual relationships. If you dont want to be in your current country and want to move to the USA find some other way to do it i.e. a work visa. And I feel very sorry for the guys who you are playing.

    Sorry to hear about your delay...at least you know it won't be too long now.....not sure about the security check being done so soon?? I thought cases were just boxed and stacked on shelves until an officer pulled them....then did the security check?? Who knows how they work.....well, it seems some of them do ;)

    Yea who knows. I just hope it is something as little as needing a photocopy of something or forgot a box on the g325a or actual petition form instead of having to dig up more proof of the relationship cause I was racking my brain about what else to send that was more official then actual boarding passes and a dated souvenir photo taken by the south carolina aquarium etc... only cause I read that phone records and bank statements were more like secondary pieces of evidence because they could be easily doctored. I wish I could send in copies of my passport, but canadians dont need a passport to enter the us, which is kinda good and kinda bad i guess, im sure homeland security or the buffalo poe keeps track tho...Anyways I am not too upset about the RFE, actually im kinda glad that at least I know they havent forgotten about me. As for the large number of September RFEs i guess its not a bad thing, it just means they are being really thorough and trying to make sure every case is genuine.... i was trying to figure out when the rfe should arrive and remembered that unlike canada, the postal service works on saturday so that is one day closer... Im really curious tho what the RFE actually is about.... I wish they would say in the e-mail they sent.

    eeeeek i got an RFE- request for more initial evidence, We havent recieved anything in the mail yet....

    I am not sure what else I can send, I already sent in:

    Original Boarding passes from 2 trips

    2 colour photos of us together

    And a letter explaining how we met.

    Any ideas what else to send?

    Doh, I just looked up what initial evidence means. For the longest time I was worried because I could not remember if we sent in a copy of Charles's birth certificate, this must be it. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is all it is and it doesnt take a lot more time to be approved. im thinking they prolly went and did all the security checks right away in september when we had our first touch, and the BC is just to prove that he is a US citizen right?

    I'm very anxious!

    Good news guy seems like they are moving along now! Just received my NOA2 via email. My lawyer has yet to call me and give me the good news and it is going on 12pm and I've know for nearly 4 hours now.. :angry: How can these so call professionals take peoples money and not do the work? :angry: This website has been a blessing I learned here everything that should have been explained by my lawyer...For newcomers YOU DO NOT NEED A LAWYER FOR THIS YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF. Guys,I know that its really hard, the waiting aspect of this and it's not as reassuring as if you actually received the NOA2 look at me just yesterday I was crying my eyes out :crying: . I just want to offer any support I can YOURS WILL COME. GOD IS GOOD!

    Yeah but God doesn't work at USCIS apparently...

    I think only godless turtles who have no understanding of first come first served work at VSC.

    i have messaged Getthere about updating their profile, they are a mid Sept filler with a NOA2, so im sure there are quite a few others who have not updated yet. I guess all we can do is msg them on an individual basis.

    She was one that I was talking about. I pmed her yesterday, she replied but never updated.
