I received a RFE asking to submit evidence of my joint sponsor's status (citizen or permanent resident). A copy of his passport was enough. Good luck!

Congrats!
Hey guys, just got our interview appointment letter, it is scheduled for May 28th, 2009 in Seattle, woo hoo! Also got my social security card today, double woo hoo!Just a question for those others who got their appointment letter recently. Does it ask ask you to bring a new Medical Exam and I-864 to the interview? The checklist on my letter asks us to bring these two things, but in brackets it says, (unless already submitted). I just want to check if this is a standard letter sent to everyone or tailored to each case. I sent in all those documents already, except I understand that I have to have an updated I-864 with recent supporting docs just in case, but I really don't want to go through the Medical Exam again. But I'm wondering if I should do the I-693 again just in case they lost that document some how.

First off, thanks for all the responses. It's really been helpful.
So the only question left is whether or not we check the box for question 25? My husband was not required to file in 2007, but as you all and the instructions have both said, that is fine as long as we explain why. However, question 25 does not say "did you file when required" it just asks if he filed.
Here it is:
25. Federal income tax return information.I have filed a Federal tax return for each of the three most recent tax years. I have attached the required photocopy or transcript of my Federal tax return for only the most recent tax year.
So should we check the box or not? The instructions on the I-864 even say to write an explanation if he was not required to file in the previous 3 years. We will write an explanation of lack of 2007 income either way, but I don't want to leave the box blank and get my application thrown out immediately for not marking where needed. Does anybody know the right way for sure?
Thanks again.
I left it blank, and wrote an explanation (my husband didn't work either, we lived in Poland). But I'm not entirely sure if that's right, I didn't get my GC yet.

Maybe you should try contacting your local post office.
Hello
We have mailed to AOS package with to Chicago 12.22.08. Check was cashed 12.26.08. We have not received any documents or letters. I called USCIS; they have mailed a letter 12.30.08. I have not received any letter. My neighborhood is very safe; it cannot be the post office. USCIS is not going to send any duplication and they are telling me to wait 6 to 8 months. Please help and let me know what to do.

Hey guys, I just want to encourage everybody through this post to check all the documents you get from USCIS or your embassy, or any other institution. I got my visa 2 weeks ago, and it turned out there was a mistake in it, which I found out about at the US airport. They listed my father in law as a petitioner, instead of my husband (that's probably because he is my sponsor). I didn't even noticed it. It wasn't a huge problem, but it might have been. So please guys be careful with the stuff you get, and check it at least twice. Good luck to everybody!

I'm really sorry that you have problems like that. Did you try calling the embassy? Maybe through skype, it's really cheap. They might tell you more over the phone. Good luck!

It's normal, pretty often both applications are approved at the same time (or even the same day). This way you can choose with visa you want to continue with. Good luck!
My I130 was approved around the same time that my I129 was. How is this going to change the process for me? or is this completely normal? I feel like our case is speeding on by. For example, I filed I129F on July 3rd and now I've been told to submit I-864 and DS-230, in fact, I should have submitted them a few weeks ago but silly me I was waiting for authorization to send them by the NVC. I thought they would send a letter or something.... -
If you're married, it's always good to take some wedding pics, and also some pictures from when you were dating (vacation spent together, family occasions etc.)

Hello, first of all congrats! It seems like you're all done. I had my interview on the 10th, and I got my passport with the sealed envelope yesterday. I don't know how it works in your consulate, but you should get your visa without any problems. You can also call the embassy if you're not sure. Just remember not to open the sealed envelope. Good luck on your remaining journey.
hi,yesterday i had an appointment date with the consular officer, it was very easy and did not take long time just few minutes, and after he finished asking me and finish typing in the computer he has, he said Congratulations. and you will get your vis less than 14 days, go to aramix. i went to aramix and a paid 5 jd and they will send the passport with visa in few days, is that mean i will get my visa as they said in this time or do i have to be in AP, please tell me what you know about that.
by the way he gave me a paper with Congratulations that my visa is approved from the consular officer and i will get my visa in the passport and that i will get a closed backage i should give it to the imm officer in the air port in usa, is that mean that my case is finished and no Ap.
thank you all

I don't know how does it work in your consulate, but we went to the K-3 interview together, and they let us both in. It definitely helped, the CO said she doesn't need to see any pictures or other evidence of our relationship, because it is obvious that we're married from the way we interact with each other. So if you can go I would recommend it, especially if they will let you in to the interview. Your husband can call the embassy or consulate and ask.
Good luck!

Congrats! we had our interview in Warsaw on the 10th (K-3), and we're also buying roundtrip tickets. Hopefully it won't be a problem. Good luck at the POE!

Hey Birch-Beer, thanks for adding us to the spread sheet, there's only one thing, we sent our I 130 application in 2007 (september 28). Thanks again.
OK, spreadsheet is updated. If anyone has anything to add or change, let me know please.I'm also looking for those who had there's transferred to CSC

You have to register on the USCIS website and create your account. Then add your cases to your portfolio and you'll see your last update.
I have to ask where I can see the touch or last updated date on the website? It seems almost everyone has at least one touch date but the website
only tells me what the NOA1 told me as well as the cs number with the recording.
I sent I-129 on Aug 8, they signed Aug 9 and I received the 797 with Aug 14 date
and that is all the website tells me. Doe that me it has not been looked at yet?
Thanks
